Best food in Florence! Not even gonna lie, best thing I ate during my week there! Service is great as well.

This is an excellent place for lunch. The menu is relatively small but the kebap was delicious. Everything is made right in front of you and very fresh. The large is very filling! Not too expensive either. We were a bit worried that the small shop would be crowded but thankfully we hit it at just the right time. The gentleman working did get a rush but was working quickly and able to handle things very well. The only concern we had was the restroom was dirty (however it was free for customers). Otherwise, would definitely recommend!

Best food in Florence hands down! I ate one almost everyday for a week. I still crave them.

No joke, the doner kebabs served here was one of the best and cheapest meals we had in Florence. Located in a bar district popular with foreign students, this spot is the perfect drunk food. Moist, grilled chicken is shaved off and put by the handful onto a massive flour tortilla the size of a medium pizza. Crowned with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and delicious yogurt-based secret sauces, the whole thing gets folded up and plopped into a plastic baggy to catch the drippings. It's a squishy, salty, decadent and addicting combination. At 4 Euros, the price of a cafe Americano at our hotel, this custom-made masterpiece was the ultimate comfort food that was available until 3AM!

came here twice late night and this place specialize in their doner kebabs. They are made on the spot and are delicious. They warm the wrap just right and then put the perfect mix of ingredients. I asked for extra sauce bc it gave the kebab a great spice to it. It is not messy to eat either because it is wrapped very well. I would highly recommend this place for late night eats in florence.

The charcuterie board was big enough to share with 3 but also depends of how much you eat. lol portions tend to be smaller in Italy. However, the sandwich was a nice size. All the cold cuts were fresh and taste was another level. A nice list of wine selection as well.

The staff was knowledgeable on all the different meats and cheeses available and were able to make recommendations based on what you prefer. We ordered a beautiful looking cheeseboard that had a variety of different hard cheeses along with different meats. The presentation was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the entire thing. It is very cool to see the different meat hanging from the ceiling in addition to the wine bottles and the cool ambience that they created in the small location. There are a handful of seats available and then there's even a back room with a few more tables to accommodate a few more people. From a price point perspective, it wasn't too bad, especially if you're swinging in for a snack and a quick glass of wine or a beer.

November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. Watch out for the pigeons getting ready to take your crumbs too, you can see them on the ledge of the building getting ready to attack. A must visit for Florence.

The line is long right around lunch time but it moves fairly fast. They have a variety of choices so you might need time to decide. We got the proscuitto arrosto e crema tartufata and finocchiona e crema de formaggio. Proscuitto Arrosto E Crema Tartufata- The bread is soft and fresh. The roasted ham is tasty and the truffle cream adds a lovely flavor and ties the dish together. Finocchiona E Crema De Formaggio- Can't sing enough of their bread's praises! The tuscan salami is spicy and flavorful. The fennel is slightly sweet and the cream cheese is smooth and light. Great experience overall!

It is 100% a "cool" place. And as such, they have developed this very characteristic symptom of coolness (evidence of this disease all over Europe) of "we do not accept reservation". Understand "we are so cool that we know you will wait". And i did. But i did once. I had a very nice moment and enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, especially on a saturday night. But the food did not convince me enough to have me wait again for so long. It was good but nothing spectacular. Probably i am not cool enough. So, what did we eat? Some salmon, with very very dry rice: i did not like at all. Some anchovies with spinach and burrata: this one i liked a lot, i find the alliances of these different ingredients very tasty. A falafel: it was ok, nothing special. Then for dessert, the mini bombe were good and the panna cotta was very good too. To sum up, the dessert were very good but i was not very impressed by the other tapas and even disliked one. Still worth going for this very cool atmosphere (and if you do not mind waiting). Writing those lines i realize that maybe i'll wait again once...

But the drinks were incredible, and strong if I must say so. A lot better than some bars in Florence. The food was pretty good, and so far the only place I've been to where I could get good salsa. Then the prices were unreal, they gave us students discounts so we didn't even spend that much. Maybe €20 a person for a meal, a drink, a shot, etc. then at the end of the night they gave us free chips and salsa with guacamole (probably to make us thirsty), but that was ok because we just ordered more drinks. But around 12, we had to move our tables because they have a dance floor and Dj that is set up. The music was fun, and the men weren't too creepy. So if your looking for a great place to have dinner and drinks with friends, this is where you should go; however, make sure you call and make a reservation if it's a Friday or Saturday though.

Instead, without even asking for my name or checking my reservation, a young host walked me out the door and across the street into a completely different dining area. The room I was placed in looked nothing like what was advertised: it was brightly lit, with paper napkins, cheap silverware, and visibly dirty walls. The whole place felt like a low-end lunch diner -- not a charming Florentine restaurant. They were blasting Highway to the Danger Zone and I Wanna Dance with Somebody while the main restaurant -- the one I thought I had booked -- played soft Italian music that actually fit the fine dining experience. The contrast was insulting. I was dressed in an upscale outfit appropriate for a refined dinner, yet I was treated as though I didn't belong. It felt discriminatory and dismissive. To make matters worse, at the end they tried to pressure me into tipping on the card machine -- in Italy, where tipping isn't even customary. The entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch, and I left feeling disrespected, singled out, and completely disappointed.
