Seen they were having another sale on the estatesales app in Bowie, MD and decided to check it out. Very friendly employees and even greeted me upon entering. I had been to two of their prior sales. One of them was a massive mansion in Chevy Chase and the other a victorian house in Bethesda. At the Chevy chase sale I must have spent a little over $500+ on various luxury furniture items which would have cost a fortune in the high end stores and also purchased a couple of small items like books and stuff. The guy running the sale I forgot his name but he gave me a awesome deal on the stuff. Also even help me load the small stuff in my car. Had to call a buddy with a pickup truck to haul the furniture items. At the Bethesda I purchased a diamond ring for a girl I was planning on marrying which didn't work out. I didn't want to continue the relationship. So I took it to a jewelry store to get it cleaned and polished and they said I got a good deal on it so I'm still happy. I can always get it resized for the next fiancé. Lol. The Bowie sale I just purchased a few silver coins. I would advise everyone come early to these guys sales. The Chevy Chase sale had a massive line of people waiting but they were letting like 30 people in at a time. They tend to get the big houses and mansions with the rare and awesome stuff so I definitely recommend checking out their sales. Only downfalls is parking can be a little tricky due to the massive crowds of their sales. But with any estate sale I always go early. When we downsized from a large suburban home to much smaller apartment, we put much of our furniture into "deep storage" at our movers' warehouse. The owner of this company is Horrible. I had contacted him well over a. month ago to get some information about doing an estate sale. I had sent him pictures of the interior of the home, so that he would have an idea about what we would be selling. He was a great salesperson, but at the end of the day we chose another company. I let Daren (the owner) know that I was not going to move forward with his company . We did have our estate sale mid November. Imagine my surprise this morning when I found an ad advertising our estate sale for January 2021! It was listed on an Estate sale finders website using the photos that I had sent him earlier in the process. I immediately contacted him and hours later received a text back saying he had no idea who I was or what I was talking about. Confusing? Yes....The text abruptly ended when he called me a "NUT CASE". I'll begin by saying that the staff at this company is very good. No complaints. I, however, do not like the owner. He is rude. While in line purchasing a few things at the sale today, two people in front of me negotiated the price with him. When I asked to pay $20 with cash for items totaling $22, I was met with "no". He then asked me what item did I want to pay full price for? Puzzled, I left, vowing to avoid this company's sales in the future. The prices are entirely too high for used items and, in my opinion, if the seller wants to sell the entire contents of their home, they need to know that this gentleman will turn people away, rather than do the job of negotiating and trying to get secure the sale. He went as far as complaining to another staff member about a customer in front of me (a customer). I will avoid this company's estate sales in the future. read more

Beware! These people have no idea what they are doing. They grossly overprice junk and underprice good stuff because they can't seem to tell the difference. I am a regular estate sale shopper and I've also run them, so I know how to tell the good from the bad. These people price sets of cheap glasses and dishes and silverware and bookends by the piece. Who does that??? Just because it's called an "estate sale" doesn't mean your potential buyers are fools. And you need to remember that an estate sale is just a glorified yard sale. To maximize the value of an estate, make sure you go with an experienced and reputable estate sale company who understands that the only way to maximize sales AND get the house cleaned out is to price things reasonably in the first place. Otherwise they're just giving things away at the end of the sale or throwing stuff away. Homeowners can only lose from this approach. read more

At a sale in Leesburg, VA over the weekend we negotiated a bulk price for me to buy up all of some remaining books. I went out back to grab a couple power cords and the gentleman and gal working the cash register reneged on the agreement. I walked away and didn't buy any more. Horrible experience! At checkout today, for a $6 item, where there were two price tags, one which had halfway come off and was illegible and the other fully on and fully legible, when my mom was asking the gentleman at checkout how much the price would be with today's advertised discount (20%) and the gentleman was punching it in the calculator to give us a final price, a rude employee while squatting in the back on her legs, interrupted the conversation and yelled out loud that she already told my mom the price is $6 and that my mom tried to take the price tag off and switch it from another price tag! We were appalled! Earlier my mom hadn't noticed the second sticker so had genuinely tried to figure out the price of that item by pointing out the illegible sticker to her. While the gentleman at checkout was fully aware of the situation and the wrong done to us by his employee, all he chose to do was to continue the conversation with my mom and just ignore the rude employee. I'm sure she's done and said many ridiculous acts like this before. He acted like her craziness is just normal. We were appalled! As if it should be a regular, casual occurrence to go accusing your customers of such horrendous and ridiculous things! He immediately owed us an apology for his employee raising her voice and accusing us of something horrendous but also he should have made her apologize to us as well. Her behavior is inexcusable and unacceptable. I sincerely hope others speak up regarding their experiences as I'm sure it's not her first time causing such a scene so that they appropriately lose business over their unprofessionalism. read more

Just had an unpleasant experience trying to work with this company. Very poor customer service - no one ever picks up the business phone. I had about 20% of an entire household of antique items from the 50's and 60's that is worth quite a bit of money (I did my homework and research before reaching out to them). The person that returned by call at 8:30pm was very encouraging and said they would help me sell my items and to text them pictures and details which I did on July 2nd. Did not hear back at all till I texted them back this morning after which the exact text response was "not enough for us to work with". Not understanding exactly what this meant -not enough details, need better pictures, my item is not worth enough?? I decided to text and ask back "do you need more pics? I know the Noritake Sorrento 95pc set in pristine condition is worth over $500?" Second text response "no that's ok -thank you". Still not sure which it was. Just a sour dismissive experience all in all. Would have been nice to get a phone call explaining why they did not want my business after sounding so encouraging during the 1st phone call. I would have been okay with them not wanting just a few hundred dollars of my business but really disappointed with the way this was handled. If anyone has any recommendations of where else I can sell fine china, Waterford crystal, oil wick lamps, silver flatware etc I would really appreciate it. Thank you.. read more

They consistently offers sales that are well worth going to and their staff is always helpful and pleasant to do business with. I love that they are super organized and set up for credit cards or cash, with every single item priced so I'm not chasing down a worker trying to find out how much something costs. They were on time for every appointment, delivered paperwork as promised, and were honest and upfront about everything, and did a very nice job managing the estate sale for my in-laws. Went to their sale today in Arlington last of 3 day sale on 7-1-18. Alot of belongings still unsold even though sign said 50% off. Made the person on-site ( who could barely speak any english ) an offer was turned down. Am sure most of the stuff will be unsold as they seem to overprice everything. I witnessed this weekend a glass shelving unit shatter and fall to the floor at an estate sale in Va. The men in charge immediately blamed a poor woman who was standing near it, and shouted at her that she owed them money. Never once asking if she was ok. I went to the woman to ask if she was ok, while they completely ignored her. I felt badly for her as it obviously embarrassed her. These men who ran the sale were so rude and uncaring that I decided then and there this was not the kind of business I wanted to buy from. read more
