One thing that was great is how they took time to prepare the home for the moving process, protecting floors, stairs, and other surfaces to make sure zero damage was done. They were flexible with us as we had to reschedule due to weather, and had several complicated moves that were handled very well. As with any move, we took care ourselves to wrap things, communicate our needs and expectations, but I would do that with any mover. Ask questions, clarify and explain what you want. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!

I had one issue with the frankly crappy reassembly of my captain's bed. When the movers left, the bed was bowed, drawers would not close completely and the slats were falling out or not fitting in at all. I reported the problem to Serena and it was corrected promptly. A crew came and reassembled the bed to eliminate the problems. Finally, Serena is the best. She is responsive, knowledgeable, friendly and very easy to work with. Both moves were transfers within my apartment building. In response to my request to get the same team if possible, the new three-person team had the same foreman as the previous three-person team. They once again did an excellent job - called in advance, arrived early, and worked very quickly and efficiently. The foreman planned well which items should be moved between the two apartments in each trip to minimize the number of trips and the work time. The team members were both friendly and professional. As with my previous move, the cost of the job came in well under the estimate due to the team's speedy work. My two experiences with NewRay have been a refreshing contrast to my experiences with other movers over the years. I plan to continue to use them for any future moves.
