She finally radioed another employee who informed her that they do, in fact, handle AppleCare so her very next words were "we don't have time to help you so you need to call and set up an appointment." It was an hour before the store closed AND WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE! Complete laziness. They apparently can't handle the AppleCare contract that they have and unfortunately they are the only AppleCare business in Redding. If anyone from Apple is reading this, please consider contracting with a company that actually knows that they are supposed to provide customer service for your products.

The problem with my computer was that it was making this grinding noise precisely where the CPU fan was, there was also a small instance of smoke that came out of my computer but it wasn't anything major. After I was finished explaining the issues I had to wait around a week to get my computer back which was fine, I understand how busy the shop can get. However when I received the call for my computer, I was charged for software repair which came up to be $125. Everything was fine and I went ahead and picked it up. Chandler said that there weren't any issues and that he just needed to do some software repair/updates. When I brought it home it wasn't making that grinding noise at all, great, BUT the next day the problem came back, it randomly started making that awful noise again only 4 hours home. I was really looking forward for them to fix this but Instead I didn't get anything fixed but 'software updates', there was nothing else wrong with my computer, I've had it for a long time.
