I took my vintage JVC receiver from the 70s in to be fixed by Circuit Pro. It was a tough, intermittent issue, but they went after it while having great customer service and did a wonderful job of repairing my receiver. These guys are very good and in high demand. The store front is closed now. Just call them then drop off your problem at Clyde's on Hartnell. They pick up everyday around 4 PM. The turn around depends on the problem and how busy they are. The prices are reasonable and the quality of work is outstanding. Anything from TV's to top end stereos and guitar amps. Beware The people were nice but beware of what they charge I went on the Mitsubishi site and found a lamp for my t v for $99.00 but had to wait for it to be shipped so when I went to circuit pro they knew that they were the only place that had one so they charged me $210.00 plus tax I wonder who in that office got the extra $100.00 or they all had a good lunch or a lot of beers after work read more

Hi, I took my vintage Marantz receiver to Circuit Pro to have it restored. They at first said that they would replace all of the panel lights with LEDs so as not to burn out like the old incandescent which was a problem with the Marantz, because when the lights burn out the panel is black and one cannot see without using a flash lite. So I said excellent and check it to make sure that all circuits are working and to clean the switches and pots and dust from the inside. In other words, restore the unit to its former glory. The kind of thing that goes without saying when it comes to vintage equipment. Restore it! So I paid the deposit of $20.00 and waited for them to call when it is ready. Two weeks later I called to inquire as to it's status. They hadn't started it yet, and said they'd call me back. Two weeks later they called and said it was complete and ready for me to pick up. Back home, when I fired it up, to my amazement the lights were not working and some of the pots were not cleaned and one of the channels was still not working, still cutting out. I was livid! So I proceeded to unhook it from its tight enclosure and take it back to them for an explanation. (I live out in the country a twenty mile round trip). They said that they don't do LED lights and that I didn't order any lights and that they would cost me $80.00. They said that they would check out the circuits and reclean the switches and pots in it and would call me when it was done. Four weeks later when I got it back and hooked up again, three of the lights still were not working. Seeing red I decided to not return and eat the poor service. I now can't sell this amp as fully restored, and don't know any other repair people in this area. I guess that the closest place to us is in Sacramento. They have a monopoly in Redding so I guess they don't need to do quality work. Their half-assed technicians probably didn't get through High School. I have since talked to other audiophiles in the area and learned they've earned a lousy reputation here locally. I also called others that I had previously referred to them so as to not give them more business and to avoid friends being mad at me for the bum tip. In summary, very disappointing. I don't recommend this business to any one. Go somewhere else! read more

I took two large screen tv's here. They couldn't fix either one, but they DID manage to severely break the second one. It WAS a flat screen TV, but came back a concave screen. I had this second tv a little over a year after it was delivered by Best Buy. I didn't want to inadvertantly break the set taking it to the shop, so I had Circuit Pro pick it up and re-deliver it. When they brought it back I immediately noticed it was no longer a flat screen. The back metal cover in back was buckled and the black plastic trim strip along the top edge of the screen was now white from having been flexed. They tried to claim it was that way when they picked it up and that I was aware of it! That's laughable, since I and my partner (who is a collector and highly observant) both thoroughly examined the set upon delivery from Best Buy and it was blemish-free. Also, if the guys from Circuit Pro noticed this serious damage upon pickup, don't you think they would have logged the damage on the pickup receipt? Obviously they would have, if the damage WAS already there. I tried to resove the situation with BBB and they refused to settle the matter through BBB-sponsored arbitration. Think twice before taking a set to these disreputable characters. Oh, btw, they refused to listen to my advice when they couldn't find the problem with this second set. I am an expert electronics engineer, now retired from my high-tech electronics firm I owned and ran in the Bay Area. I told the guys at Circuit Pro what they needed to look for since the set wasn't failing in their shop. Obviously it had to do with the internet connection, or, less likely, a line voltage difference. I tried to get that through to them three times, but they ignored me every time and finally brought the set back - broken. I disconnected the wireless internet adapter here and the set hasn't failed now in over 5 weeks. It was failing every night before that. Don't take your equipment there unless you enjoy being called a liar and having to sue them when they break your "baby". read more

Had my now ten-year old flatscreen repaired here five years ago and it's still working good as new. The price of the repair was a bit higher than I expected, but definitely beat the cost of a new one. Quality work. read more
