That is a good price and these pizzas are huge! The flavor was on point, the cheese was amazing. The crust was perfect! Now, I can see where some people may have not been a fan. I ordered a pizza and sat down I ate. However, they have pizza by the slice where the pizza is made and sits under a heat light. Those slices did not look appetizing under the heat light. The price has increased to $28 for a large everything pizza. I don't have an issue with the price increase, however the quality of the pizza has gone down hill significantly. Order a to go order over the phone. The guy on the phone "manager" was rude and brief. Then when i go and pick up the food, the PAPER bag they have me ripped and dropped all my food on the ground. I called back and it was 30 mins until the store closed asking if i could get a remake. The first time i ordered it took barely took any time to make the food ( 10 minutes tops) so i did not see an issue. They then explained they had already put away all of the food (understandable) When i asked for a refund the guy then starts blaming the bag ripping and spilling the food on me. Saying "How is it my fault you ripped the bag". At one time, I worked in midway mall. I would regularly enjoy a slice of pizza from time to time & it was good. I've had better, but it was good. Pizza and Calzones are very good. Pizza can be very subjective though, so you have to like NY style. Service can be a little spotty, sometimes they are really friendly, and sometimes they act like they could care less and unhappy to be there. We come here a lot for lunch, because the pizza is great, but the building and the employees are terrible. The building is run down and if you're looking for a nice place or a clean restaurant, RUN. I'm not sure how this place passes inspection. The employees are always grumpy and complaining about something. Tonight we went for dinner for the first time and were told they couldn't make us a fresh pizza because they were out of dough. We then had to order individual combos which ended up costing us a lot more and we got half of the pizza we would have if we would have ordered a large pizza. Best local pizza. Their huge NY style pizzas are very good. I'm partial to the sausage and the hamburger pizzas. The atmosphere has a very homey feeling to it. Well when you live in Sherman and you would like to have a good pizza and try to find one from a mom-and-pop shop or a pizza shop that is not a chain that's very difficult to do. I decided to go to the Italian affair and buy one of their pies well let me tell you while I was sitting there I was watching the pizza Master in the back sling these pies so professionally it was crazy. He knew exactly how far to stretch it he even did the flare of flipping it up in the air I was very impressed they did not skimp on the cheese's they did not skimp on the sausage the pepperoni or the mushrooms or any of the toppings. The restaurant itself is in need of a facelift however the pies are extremely good and they are made very well. they're cooking method is a little bit different than most pizza shops it appeared to me that they cook their pizzas twice the first time is to get it set and melt the cheese then he takes it back out and he places more toppings on top of what you already ordered and then they place it back in the oven adds a turn to it to get that Golden crisp on the crust and that stretchy melted cheese on the top. I ordered a medium pie with sausage mushroom and pepperoni and let me tell you the size of this medium was bigger than any large one that the chain restaurants do including Pizza hut and Domino's and Papa John's and all that this pizza outshine them all. Can't wait to go back and try their calzone or the Stromboli they looked awesome when I was there. Well I know that food and restaurants are subjected to one's own personal opinion but let me please emphasize that if anyone in this area is looking for quality Pizza and get out of the chain experience such a Pizza hut and Domino's and all the rest of the ones that use frozen dough and it's like a factory line I strongly suggest you go to the Italian affair order yourself a pie and experience the quality of what a pie should taste like. read more

This is some of the best NY style pie I've had. I've eaten a lot of pizza across this great nation and there are very few places that serve NY style that can beat this. It is what it is: no frills, thin, crispy on bottom but pliable, chewy crust, great developed yeasty flavor. They use baker's pride ovens which are key to the NY style crust. This kicks the snot out of Sbarro. The restaurant is a dive. This isn't a place to go if you want ambiance. This is the place to go if you want some of the best NY pizza you'll find outside of NY.
