This restaurant had no outside sign to tell patrons where the entrance was. We ended up having to walk through the restaurant to find the bar to order. It is definitely not family friendly. It is a bar scene. My family and I went on a Sunday. Several of the appetizers were not available. We were disappointed. We waited 45 minutes for our food and no one came to update us on the wait. They delivered the food with no apology and just blamed it on the kitchen. The grilled cheese was disappointing and I couldn't finish it. The fries tasted old. I've been trying to visit this place for ONE WHOLE YEAR, and my visits to Sherman haven't allowed it before. FINALLY, I got to visit and I will never make a trip back to the area and not go. I'm up that way about once every few months and this place will be at the top of my visit list. I ordered the Chicken Shroom Melt... y'all, they served it with a fork. That should tell you everything you need to know! The chicken breast was pounded thin or butterflied so it was easier to eat...but it was loaded with cremini mushrooms, onions and spinach, all in a cheese Alfredo sauce. It didn't taste overwhelmingly like Alfredo though. It was so beautiful and messy, that fork came in handy! The tomato basil soup for dipping was good! My little girl got a kids ham and cheese and shared the soup with me. The flavor was great and was deep and rich, not watery or thin at all. My boyfriend got the bacon Mac and cheese grilled cheese. Yup, it had all that in between two beautiful toasted pieces of crisp bread. It would be perfect on a cold winters day with the tomato soup. For drinks, I had the 903 hard seltzer. They threw a dash of cranberry juice in it. I'm a BIG had seltzer fan and this was wonderful. Crisp and CLEAN. It had a great, fresh, taste. I also tried the Cannonball Run, which is a sour beer. All the real cheeses! Prices on the high side but definite worth the try. You can even multiply the cheeses and customize your order. Downside is they use too many spices on the bread. After 2 quick turns off the service road we arrived and we're pretty sure we were headed the right way when we found the twinkling patio lights. The staff inside was quick to welcome us and give us the run down. Grab a paper Menu or read the one on the wall, order at the counter while she offered up 3 samples of some fun 903 seltzer's. We asked for her recommendation and ended up selecting a grill cheese (of course!!) with bacon and avocado and a burger with loaded fries to share. After trying a few drink options I settled for the Pina Colada. You get a number and grab your own table to wait. Food came out fast and delish. It's fun in here with the typical craft beer spot of both rustic, old, unique building filled with both decor and legit beer making stuff plus some t-shirts and fun signs all equal a great stop. Well, we loved it! Passing through town and saw the words "grilled cheese" on Yelp. Had to stop. The town was dead but this place was hopping!! Walked into loud music which quickly turned into trivia night. They didn't have any soup or potato skins but the grilled cheese was wonderful. Halloween weekend so everyone was in costumes, even the babies dressed up like little raccoons and skunks. Friendly dogs were camped out at their owners feet wagging their tails during dinner. When we walked in the door, the lady behind the counter says "Oh, you finally brought him" - referring to me. Everything here is "Ooey Gooey". I had the Shredded Chicken Grilled Cheese and I must admit I'm already hooked. My wife finally tried something different and went with the Grilled Mac'n'Cheese. Mediocre sandwiches and dirty dining area, I'm sorry to say. We always like to support locally owned businesses, but I will not be back to this place. Edit: In response to the business's comment on my review, I have to say that i don't think having high expectations is a bad thing, especially when it comes to cleanliness. The dirtiness I mentioned (I changed the word that I used originally - filthiness - out of respect for the staff) was not due to the building's age. It was due to tables and floors not being cleaned properly (food stuck to the table, mop grime on the floors around the booths). We chose this place because of the great Yelp reviews, so I was surprised by our experience there. Perhaps it was just an off day for the business, and I understand that. But unfortunately, you only get one chance to make a good first impression. My complaint here is the price. I thought it was a little overpriced for being a grilled cheese, but do understand that it is gourmet. I would definitely eat it again though! What an amazing atmosphere and food. My only complaint is we waited over 30 min for our food. This was on a Sunday, and they were clearly under staffed and over crowded. The waitstaff was amazing and did the best with the cards they were dealt that day. This lays on the management. They were clearly understaffed in the kitchen. Breakers kept tripping that staff constantly had to run and reset in the panel. Management and the owners need to fix these issues. Again the staff was amazing!! read more

My daughter told me about this little Gem in Downtown Sherman, of corse I looked it up on yelp, the pictures got me interested in giving it a try. I have to say it was worth the trip... I was driving around, saw this place, and immediately turned around. I am so glad that I did! The Mac and cheese was great, the Philly was delicious, it had a little Texas inspiration in it. It by no means was spicy, it had the right amount of heat with balanced flavor. They make their own version of "Whiz" that goes on it. It isn't just one cheese, it's got depth to its flavor. Ok, so I tried this place because I was working in Sherman and I'm always looking for something different. It's in a kind of industrial area where its hard to see where the front door is. You park behind the building and walk up beside the building then turn to where the picnic tables are and walk till you see a door opening. When you first walk in, you arent sure you are in the right place because it is actually a brewery I believe. You walk up to the bar to order your food. It is a clean place but not really a restaurant setting even though there are tables and chairs. I ordered the grill cheese sandwich that comes with potato chips and a pickle. I also ordered the tomato bisque soup and an unsweet tea. Dont get me wrong, the food was good. My issue is that I was there for lunch and ended up paying $12 before I added a tip and the soup appeared smaller than the pics i had seen. Many restaurants who are looking for the lunch crowd can usually get you full for under $10 with a drink. Matter of fact, If i were there having a beer, a grilled cheese sandwich sounds amazing, and in fact it was very good. I was just there to eat a quick lunch and get out. read more
