Said TOD (transfer on death deeds) are "new" (they were in place since 2024 and get this ... they don't know enough about them to recommend Thats kind of funny... since they had 2 years to learn/understand a TOD as an attorney So unless you are giving them big bucks for a trust, don't bother calling

Therefore I wanted to share my experience I'm a 60 year old African- American female who owns a home in Long Island and land in Mississippi. I have a 20 year old daughter. I had a free consultation with Attorney Suzanne Ettinger. I was advised I did not need a trust fund at this time and to think about a trust at 70 years old I was advised to sell my land if not in use and advised my daughter would go through probate in both New York and Mississippi. I was shocked at this advice which is contrary to protecting your assets as advertised. I was never offered a trust fund plan or at best a will. When I asked the fee for the trust fund I was quoted $6500 and for land transfer would total $10,000. I pondered with this advise. Would this advice be extended to a person of Non African- American descent or this Law Firm has select clientele.

You do not have a very good reputation in the industry based on other attorney's opinions. And besides everything else there were several mistakes made. The paralegal that was handling my case left your firm I never got to replacement. Your work does not live up to your billing.

Two left the firm as described above, and the third did not have the qualifications required for our case. Cona is clearly ignoring the fact that their inadequate work on our case has nothing to do with the gender of the lawyers involved. In addition, it has come to our attention that the female Jr lawyer mentioned in our review, has in fact also been fired by Cona Law.
