HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We have a 1.5 year old mini aussie and scheduled a 90 minute evaluation/training session with Shae. The price was reasonable and it was WELL WORTH the money and time. Shae is extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with. She helped us understand the root cause of our main issue (dog barking/reactive to strangers) and created a plan to work on this behavior. Through this, she also observed our general training style and gave us excellent pointers on things to adjust. We have been getting by on Zak George/YouTube so it was helpful to get Shae's live feedback. Thank you, Shae!

If I could, I would give Shae ten stars. After weeks of trying to find the right trainer, I was left feeling depleted - both mentally/emotionally, and financially. Enter Shae - the miracle worker! For seven sessions, my pup and I had the privilege of working with someone who truly wanted to make the owner/pet relationship as optimal as possible. My dog is an older rescue, so required some relearning of behaviors, but Shae was patient and kind, and I genuinely feel more confident in my role as a pet parent. My dog, Nala, is also in a much better place! Shae - I would recommend you to anyone!! Excellent service. Very professional. Extremely affordable. Thank you!

I've been working with Shae as a trainer for the past few months and what a different it's made with my puppy! I feel he is not only well behaved now but he's happier and healthier. Shae really goes out of her way to ensure all her clients both Hooman and Furry have what they need to achieve their training goals and needs. I highly recommend her especially to first time puppy parents like me.

Itchytail is NOT just for dogs. I have two amazing cats Munchkin and Milo. Itchytail has been great for them and me!!! I've learned how to break bad habits (e.g., cats tearing up my couch). My cats have been cared for by Itchytail multiple times while away from vacation. Itchytail has also provided reallly adorable bow tie collars that make my little fury boys look like gentlemen!!! I've always experienced exemplary service, timely responses and a willingness to always share the plethora of wisdom of pet care. I am an Itchytail client for life!! I've attached a photo of Milo from the last time Itchytail pet sat for us and well the pic says it all!!! My babies are well cared for by Itchytail!

I have been using Itchytail for several months now and not only have they brought great relief and lessons but even love. My dog always gets excited doing her training with Shae. Shae has not only helped in training my dog but also helping my family and I deal with the loss of our family cat. When I called Shae she arrived promptly and prepared. It relieved emotional stress for me even having her wait with me at the vet. I recommend for anyone to use Itchytail. They bring love and light to you and your pets while helping maintain a pet friendly home.

Our boys are part of the pack!

Update following the owner (Suzanne)'s response:…read more I appreciate the business taking the time to respond. I want to clarify a few points for transparency and for prospective customers considering Happy Hound. My concern was never the existence of a first-day assessment fee, but the value delivered. I have used dog daycares across NYC, Chicago, LA, and San Francisco and have never encountered one that charges more than a standard daycare day for a first-day evaluation. In many cases, the first day is complimentary. That context shaped my expectations going in. When I called to book, the 3:00pm time slot was the only option presented to me by Happy Hound. At no point during booking--or after the tour--was it communicated that the daycare credit would apply the same way regardless of whether my dog attended for a full day or only a couple of hours. Without that clarity, it is entirely reasonable for a new customer to assume that paying for a full day would result in receiving a full day of care. That is where the communication breakdown occurred. I am not disputing the sequence of events shared in the owner's reply. My concern is with the policy itself--specifically, requiring payment for a full day of daycare while not delivering a full day of service when scheduling limitations come from the business. The outcome was that I paid for care my dog did not receive. A prorated refund for the unused portion of that day would have been a reasonable, customer-oriented resolution. Sharing this simply so other prospective customers understand how the onboarding process and policies work in practice.

I wish that all human daycare centers were this good. They have a perfect organizational system,…read morewhere dogs are placed in groups according to size and energy levels, the facilities are squeaky clean, and the staff is professional. Archibald loves this place.

I trusted that he would be safe with them. I took him to boarding school for two months to fix his past traumas and let him do a one month daycare here afterwards. I would recommend the 30 day daycare if pet parents are busy with their day or want socialization for their dogs

Shame on you Wag Hotel!…read more I scheduled boarding for my dog Hans at your facility back on 1/28 in preparation for a trip to Japan on May 3 - 8, which you accepted on 1/31. However, when we arrived at your facility on May 2nd, the day before my flight to Japan, your front desk staff informed me that Hans' 5/2 - 5/8 boarding was being denied due to him having a heart murmur condition. Even though I've been a loyal customer to you for over 10 years; and that Hans' heart murmur condition had already been noted in your system since 2024; and given that my flight to Japan was less than 24 hours away; and given the fact that your facility waited until I was at the checkin desk in order to inform me of Hans' boarding denial; I was still told that there was nothing that your facility could do and that it was simply following company policy. Luckily for me, I demanded to speak with a manager who then took it upon himself to assist me in finding another facility that would board Hans at the very last minute. So kudos to that manager. However, you should know that he had to make several calls going down your "other recommended facilities" list in order to find a facility that was willing to board Hans on such short notice even with him having a preexisting heart murmur condition. So again, kudos to that manager. So unfortunately, this is how our relationship ends after I've been a loyal customer to you for over 10 years. Policy aside, not only should I have been notified far in advance to my May 2nd boarding schedule, but that I should have also been given an accommodation due to the last minute nature of your notification. It was simply amazing to me to hear both your Manager, and your front desk staff all admit that a notification error had, in fact, been made by your boarding authorization unit, but due to company policy there was nothing that could be done and that Hans would simply have to boarded elsewhere. Obviously, both my years of customer loyalty and the fact that your authorization unit had made a horrendous mistake, made absolutely no difference whatsoever in my situation. So goodbye, and again shame on you Wag Hotel!

She always runs right in when we drop her off and we can tell she has a lot of fun when we watch her on the webcam. Her latest stay was 2.5 weeks and while she was exhausted when we picked her up from playing so much she is very healthy and happy. In situations where our travel plans have delayed us in picking her up, they have always been incredibly kind and understanding. We started adding walks to her long stays so she gets some individual outside time in addition to all day inside playtime. I have nothing but good things to report about the Barkmont and they make being a dog owner in the Bay so much easier. I also think they are just really good people, I heard they now partner with local pet rescues to give their foster dogs some socialization and love. Makes us feel good supporting them. Picture is from home but the boarder in question.

At the other facility, Ollie for the first time displayed separation anxiety. The first time he did so, I thought he was just a bit nervous. The second time he had that look in his eyes that said, "do not leave me." Recently, we returned to the Barkmont. There was and continues to be a completely different response from Ollie. HE CANNOT WAIT TO GET IN THE DOOR AT THE BARKMONT. He absolutely loves the staff - professionals who are all very loving, kind and tender with the dogs. I should add that Ollie is somewhat of a higher maintenance dog - a 2-year-old 80 lb Samoyed who is an attention hound. I really like that the Barkmont has cameras so that you can log into to see how your fur baby is doing during a stay. The dogs are constantly monitored by staff who are in the various rooms - to ensure that no one gets out of line. Alot of additional services - meals, walks, bath etc. Kirk and Amanda - the owners both love dogs. They have provided in my opinion the VERY BEST DAYCARE FACILITY in the Bay Area.
