Park Offerings: 1) Playgrounds for the kids 2) Baseball field 3) Indoor basketball/Volleyball courts in their gymnasium. Just have to find out when it's open gym for those relative sports. 4) Tennis courts and Pickleball courts. For pickleball, there's specific times to play Monday through Sunday: 5pm to 930pm (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 8am to 1pm (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). Just have to be mindful of the hours that they have it. The city sets up the nets for everyone to use. They're not permanent courts. 5) Splash Zone/Swimming Pool. You'll have to be mindful of the times and rates. 6) Dog Park: Located next to the tennis courts. 7) Picnic Tables/Gazebo 8) Fitness Zones: You'll see some manual outdoor exercise machines 9) Restrooms: They're nice. Location/Parking: Located on Emerson between San Gabriel and Del Mar.. Parking can be found on the street or in their parking lot. Ambiance/Decor: Go outside and touch grass for a bit. It's like a escape for a bit. Garvey Park For Thought: Don't mind coming back to touch grass. I'll primarily be playing pickleball courts when I have time.

The tennis courts here are very neglected, and it's honestly disappointing. Every week, we see the…read moresame trash sitting in the same corners -- sometimes it just gets blown around to other areas. It seems like the courts are being ignored, which doesn't make sense because they're used often. Families come here all the time, and we see kids riding their bikes or learning how to ride -- but there are sharp metal strips from tennis ball cans and all kinds of trash around. I've seen pizza boxes, candy wrappers, flyers, bottles -- you name it, it's probably in the courts. I even spoke with one of the cleaning staff who was cleaning other areas but skipped over the courts. I mentioned to him that people, including children, use these courts regularly, and they deserve to be clean and safe. I plan to email the city about this because it's not right that we pay taxes and our local courts are being overlooked. The courts are always in use, so it's not like they're forgotten or abandoned. They're right next to the splash pad, which makes it a popular area for families -- another reason why maintenance should be a higher priority. Please, keep our tennis courts and parks clean so families and children can safely enjoy them.

You can play with beginners or advanced players here. + Good indoor setting to play badmin free from weather. + If you don't know anyone here, you can join the badminton MeetUp group led by Nora. They meet Saturday and Sunday evenings. Nice people will help get you settled in and playing among people your level. + Though one vending machine was out of order, thankfully there's a second one. It sells water and energy drinks. + The Thai restaurant in the front has a back table to offer food and drink within this badmin area. + They open late, past 1am. I wish pickleball lights stayed on that late. . The clerk doesn't seem to have much sense of humor. Non-likes: - Disorganized reservation system. We were kicked off our court because some people said they reserved it. I checked the electronic display for. It didn't say anyone booked that court. - Another time, two of us were waiting to join another two, but another other two waltzed right onto the court, making us have to wait longer even though we were there first. - No water fountain nor water bottle refill station. - Faulty lights. At times almost all the lights randomly turned off, and the players just had to stand there twiddling their thumbs waiting for the lights to turn back on to continue playing. - The restroom paper towel dispenser only ejects 3-4 inches of paper at a time - Not quite enough room to walk behind the courts. - Many broken chairs. - It may be hard for you to communicate or connect with some people here because of a language/culture barrier. - There's no big sign in the front of the parking lot pointing you to the back. I was confused trying to find this place. - At $11/day, the facility needs more badminton courts. Perhaps total 15 or more. -- Given all these lingering flaws that the Los Angeles Badminton Club has, $11/day seems expensive. You can access other sports with better amenities for free. For a high quality facility, yes. For a subpar one such as this, $5/day max seems more fair.

It was $10 or $11 bucks for a day pass here in April 2024…read more Lots of parking but it was extremely crowded at 10pm on a Friday night. The facility is clean but apparently groups will reserve the courts for hours which makes walk in on busy day especially Friday night impossible to play. Not a bad thing just a testament to how popular this place is! You can reserve the court online and split the price with friends. However I do not recommend coming as walk in as I waited 2.5 hours and only played 30 mins in 3 broken segments of 10 minutes. Everyone is nice here including the guests, lots of seniors, kids, teenagers. There are about 16 courts, very very warm, no ventilation, there is a Thai restaurant that serves the courts directly. They have a cool rfid system to queue up and the lights turns off to indicate the court is moving to the next queue.

Many dogs walking around too so super pet friendly with trash bags and bins. There are 2 big playgrounds and a fitness center as well. There's also a little rose garden! The area feels very safe and well lit. I saw people dancing, baseball and soccer teams practicing and many people going out on their daily walks. I'd imagine it would be a great place for bbq as well during the day. Little details matter. Great job city of rosemead. Bugs and mosquitos love me but I managed to not get a single bite!! Our corgi…read moremix had the best afternoon frolicking in the grass of the small dog area with so many new doggie friends. There's great benches all around the grassy area and a few tables with shade in the corner of the small dog area. Right behind it, the large dog area offers a long pen for dogs to run across and back, with a good mix of grass and dirt patches. There are even a few fun obstacles for the pups to interact with. They were a bit too large for our boy's stubby legs, but could be lots of fun for larger dogs. Also a few tables there for owners to sit if desired, as well as a few nice clean benches. Fountains available in both the large and small pen for the dogs, in addition to waste baskets as well as poop bags. Everything you need. Relatively large free parking lot in the front. Just an overall five star experience and we'll definitely be back soon.

Been coming here for years upon years, a solid dog park for the locals. They separate the dog park…read morebetween smaller and large dogs which is a good thing to see to avoid any extensive harm, etc. It's often pretty clean here but occasionally, you'll see dogs poop and people not being responsible picking up the poop. There's some obstacles around in both sections but dogs don't really use them. Not much shade around, people usually stand by the wall or sit on the benches. There's a couple tables in the big dog section though with umbrellas for shade which is nice. The big dog section is certainly way bigger than the small dog section. They're able to explore more, and sniff around all around. PROS: - Small dogs vs Big Dogs section - Big space for big dogs to roam around - Free poop bags - Water fountain in both sections CONS: - Sometimes too dirty - Puddles after rain - Not sure if water is clean - Lots of sand which causes dust up that can cause damage to dogs eyes Overall, a decent dog park, not much to do besides watch your dog roam around. My wife and I have met plenty of friendly dogs here and also a decent amount of non friendly dogs. Usually owners are responsible but you'll often find that sometimes there's dog owners that are just on their phones and not watching their dog.
