Came at 9pm on a Monday night. Super packed!! I haven't been back since I was little. Great addition of the skatepark! The park and trail is super clean with trash cans everywhere. Many dogs walking around too so super pet friendly with trash bags and bins. There are 2 big playgrounds and a fitness center as well. There's also a little rose garden! Of course Rosemead had to have roses haha. Parking is convenient either street parking or parking in the basketball court or swimming pool lots. There are couple public restrooms open at night. The area feels very safe and well lit. I saw people dancing, baseball and soccer teams practicing and many people going out on their daily walks. I'd imagine it would be a great place for bbq as well during the day. Little details matter. Great job city of rosemead. Bugs and mosquitos love me but I managed to not get a single bite!! The gazebo is powered by solar which is pretty cool. Water fountains are dog friendly. I can't think of any improvements haha keep up the good work! read more

This is my second go-to park when Almansor Park is a further distance from me when I would like to get a good walk in. I enjoy walking at the park and I appreciate a padded walking trail at the park. I haven't tried walking here during the mornings, but overall at night, it is decently lit. The track has several curves so I don't know if it is that suitable for running although I have seen runners on the track before. There's also some exercise equipment along the track as well. Other amenities for the park- -swimming pool, skate park, basketball court, soccer field, baseball field, picnic benches Overall, I usually would prefer Almansor for walking/ running but if I can't get to Almansor, I would prefer this as an alternative park to get a walk in. read more

It's been a while since I came to this park but my friend suggested to come because on a Saturday afternoon, the other parks we've been to were crowded. The parking was plenty at 11:30am, I parked on the street instead of the north lot. The first playground was on a hill and another on the corner southeast side across the pool/skatepark. They had sand around the play structure and swings, so be careful with sand everywhere. Restrooms are open, they have a couple spread out the park. Great park, plenty of benches to sit and shade in most areas depending on the time! read more

3/1/26 First time visiting this park. It must look amazing during the day because it sure looks great at night. Plenty to do besides walking, basketball, swimming, playing sports on the greens, skate (skate park), and many more! Hubby & I pass by this park almost daily since we stayed at an Airbnb for about 3 months just a few blocks away. Before 6 am, I see many residents walking already. At night I see many also play basketball at the courts. It sort of reminds me of Cerritos' Liberty Park. The walking/running area has the soft cement just like Liberty Park, easy on the feet. There's a playground for children. The grass is lush & green. We parked on the street, free. There is a designated parking lot for this park. I can see Hubby & I doing our walks here. Great park. The swim gym has 12 lanes. Will look into whatever else they offer when I visit it during the day time hours. read more

I've been to this park a few times. There are two playground - one has lots of sand so I tend to stay away from that one because kids would go wild there. We tend to go to the other one that has wood chips. Nice well help playground with basketball ground, running/walking track and lots of space for BBQ. read more

Great local park with plenty of amenities. There is aquatic center, basketball courts, baseball fields, plenty of picnic tables, two playgrounds, and walking/running path. The place gets pretty crowded, especially on weekends. There is weekly farmer's market on Monday located in the parking lot near by the courts. Rosemead park is a solid park that has a small track that many run on. Each lap is .5 a mile so it's easy to calculate the distance you run. Field is pretty big as well and many groups play volleyball and soccer on the field. Has a a swimming pool, skate park, and basketball courts. Plenty of parking in the lots and the street. read more

Rosemead is a good place to come for a run/walk. They is also a basketball court and multiple grass area for you to come play sports and other fun exercise. I normally come here for a quick jog, I feel a little more safe running at the park than on the streets. If you follow the track, it's about 0.4 miles per loops. I often see people playing scoccer on the field, I think you probabaly have to come early to reserve the spot before other people takes it. I don't see people monitoring. The basketball court for sure is always taken. There are also restroom available, next to the pool entrance, and plenty of parking space. parking lot and street parking. read more

I love this park. I used to come here because we live nearby but now that we've moved (like 10 minute drive), we still find ourselves coming here. The park has plenty of parking spaces available. It is nice during the daytime and we would hang out while eating in and out, which is just around the corner. And it is bright and safe during the nighttime, where we would walk around the loop on the padded path, so it doesn't hurt our feet. There is really something for everyone in this park and it is always kept clean and safe! read more

Rosemead Park is located next to Rosemead High School. This park has plenty of free parking spaces. They have two parking lots & plenty of street parking. Their amenities include a walking/jogging path, a swimming pool, a baseball field, skate area, and more. I came here to walk a few times during the pandemic & face masks are required which is good. The skate area is currently closed. Every time I am here, people always practice their social distance so it makes me feel safe to walk along the pathways. This park had been renovated and is much nicer than before! They now have a walking/jogging track and a skatepark area for the skateboarders and etc. they have several children's playground throughout the park, one of the children's playground near the restrooms by the basketball court is fully gated and is locked at a certain time everyday- this might be the newer playgrounds so I guess they afraid it gonna be messed up faster or something. The parking lot is small and there are street parking- make sure you read the signs though. If you bring your kids to the playground make sure you got them in their dirty clothes or their play clothes. the playgrounds has sand/dirt and it goes everywhere! Well the playgrounds by the community swimming pool has the sand/dirt for the ground. Park/playground is marked with signs on what time they close at so make sure you pay attention. They got tables with benches and bbq grills- recommend to bring foil or clean the grills before you use them Overall it's a nice park to come to. read more

Here on Sunday for a baseball tournament. restroom by fields is disgusting! toilet is stacked to the top with toilet paper and shit. 'My 5 year old had to go number two. drove to the restroom by the pool. just as disgusting and no efen toilet paper. had to use toilet seat covers to wipe him. Nasty and lazy park staff! read more

Beautiful park but lack of usable restrooms makes it a dump. A literal dump. Parents let kids go #2 in the bathroom sink because the toilets are full and backed up. (Yes, we have seen this!) Must walk at least 1/2 mile from baseball fields to the only open bathroom, and it's disgusting! 2 port a potties were near the fields and both filled to the brim! The beauty and purpose of this park is shadowed by the city not maintaining it on weekends! Do not recommend unless you go to the nearest Starbucks and buy a drink to use their bathroom. read more

Cool, big clean park where we watched summer concerts here like "Hard Days Night" Beatles tribute band. We had a GREAT time and people were cool, nice and well-behaved. It's good when the city sets up these free concerts and events for the neighborhood. I wish they would do more in my town of Pasadena. Bring back the Levitt Pavilion shows! Is anybody out there? I've ran at this park a few times...and for purposes of running, it's not my favorite. 1 lap is a little more than half a mile, so as a distance runner, I'd have to run around this park more times than I can count on my fingers in order to do what I consider 1 run. HOWEVER, if you're planning a short leisurely run/jog/walk, this is the place for you! Also it's a pretty awesome park in general! There are public exercise equipment as you go around the track (kind of like those you see in Taiwan parks), and large areas for kids, families, and DOGS to run around and play! I'm not sure if dogs are allowed at this park (they're not allowed at Almansor Park...BOO!), but I have an inkling that they are! There are full-court...courts for basketball, on the other side of the park. There are plenty of benches to picnic at and bbq. Make sure you bring wipes, as the tables can be kind of filthy. There is a little kiddy playground...that's not as little as I make it sound. And best of all, there's a POOL! I hear it's free for Rosemead residents...and a small fee if you're not. My non-Rosemead resident boyfriend used it a couple of times and says it's pretty cool (heh). FINAL VERDICT: It is great place to do a short run/walk at. And as a PARK, it sure beats Almansor! Fun for you, your family, your friends and perhaps your 4-legged friends! Play some sports, bbq some meat, take a swim, or go play with random exercise equipment! I literally grew up with this park and after its remodeling it looks way better than the past. They have a running path and is dog friendly also. The bad part is that it is poorly lit at night. Kinda scared running around those areas. The basketball courts needs to be repaved. It's easy for someone to sprain their ankles if they are not careful. read more

Met up with old and new friends to play some ball here the other night. So this review is solely for the basketball courts. Finding basketball courts that are busy is quite the tough task. Some nights one place is busy, another night it's another park. There's nothing worse than wanting to play pick up ball and having no one to play pick up with, it's quite sad. This problem, from what I saw last Friday and what I've heard from others, is never an issue down at these courts. Three courts, packed, running 6 different 4v4 pick up games with waits at almost every court. This, this mecca to substandard basketball makes my heart sing. The people are nice enough but take the game seriously, and that's all you can really ask for. Why this place is only 4 stars, like every other person who has ever played here will tell you, is because of the fact that the great city of rosemead decided to use some kind of material to build their hoops on that resemble a slip and slide. This place is a minefield for sprained ankles, inadvertent sprains, and just about anything else associated with slick surfaces and basketball you can think of. You have been warned. Come out to this spot for some half court pick up if that's your cup of tea, but remember that you have been warneddd. Play at your own risk read more

This is a very safe, wide open park, with plenty of space for everyone. You'll mostly just see a bunch of older people walking their dogs, or doing some jogging in the evenings, as well as kids practicing whatever after school activities they have going on. There are also basketball courts, playgrounds, and other amenities, so there's a little something for everyone. It's very family-friendly, so it's great for get-togethers and Sunday outings. A far cry from the rush and excitement of the ghetto parks I grew up near, but I suppose most people wouldn't go for that sort of thing, anyway. read more

NOTE: This review is purely based on their BASKETBALL courts. So, I've been coming to Rosemead Park ever since I moved to Temple City. I was brought here by my friends because many of them lived between the borderline of Temple City and Rosemead, which meant that they lived close to the park. The courts are not the best or cleanest, but they are always readily available. If you're used to playing on completely flat polished floors or indoor courts, then this place may not be suitable for you, but for everybody else that either cannot afford the extensive costs of a gym membership or just straight out don't care to ever purchase one, these courts might be right for you. Currently, there are 5 hoops that are working and are pretty much suitable for any normal pickup game. If you come here in a big group (i.e. anything larger than 4), you may find it difficult to get a court to yourself because there are always people on the courts. It's not necessarily a bad thing because it makes finding pickup games really easy. Most of the people that play are usually willing to share and play. Probably the only thing that I wish would be different is when the lights turn off. The lights turn off at exactly 10:15 PM every night, so if you want to play late ball, you have to either go to 24 or just find some other place where the lights are still on. read more

My favorite park in all of the 626. It's beautiful, huge, and has just about anything you'd need for any occasion. From the track, to the fitness machines, to the plethora of benches and bbq pits, and pool and skate park... there's nothing else I could ask for--except maybe better maintenance of the bathrooms! Since they remodeled this park a few years back, this park has became more lively especially in the mornings. tons of old [mainly asian] folks exercising. it's actually pretty cute. there's a group that does tai chi. there's another asian group that does like some type of dancing but with country music. sometimes you'll see the kids from rosemead high there running for track and field or practicing for something in the later afternoons. there's people who play baseball, basketball, or soccer in the evenings. Street parking and two small parking lots. Public restroom is available. There's two small playgrounds for the little ones with swings in one. Pros: 1) free workout machines (I.e. elliptical, etc.); the machines that area available is not the stuff you see at the gym. It's like a super lower version but it does the trick. its like plastic instead of metal. 2) there's a walking/running path 3) they're dog friendly and supplies you with doggy bags for the poop. 4) plenty of trash bins around. 5) basketball courts are available. Cons: 1) the germs that may be on the workout machines. 2) at night they would probably benefit from more lights. there's a few areas where there's benches and with grills for bbqs. lots of shade. i prefer rosemead park for my walks/runs than almansor because its less crowded. less chance of running into people i know. i have gym membership to LA fitness and sometimes i prefer to come here instead. that tells you a lot! there's no guys standing around pretending to workout just to gawk or hit up on girls. i'm a fan! make sure you be polite and say hi to folks that pass by you if you're walking/running. ive come across many polite ppl who always say hi first. even with my headset on. just FYI! good job city of rosemead for the renovations! read more

What I like about this park: -Its not super ghetto despite its location. -It has 2 baseball fields. -Spongy running track around the park (no concerted=awesome) -Tai Chi or whatever groups in the park every morning (u can get ur Mr. Myiagi on). -workout machines i.e. stationary bike, elliptical, sit up bench, oblique twister thing, and pull up bar (pretty cool if you ask me) -3 playgrounds (including swings). -Clean -basketball court (hoop it up) -Lots of trees. -Lots of picnic benches with bbq pits ("Hot Coals" trash can near by too) Summary? I come here for my morning walk, twice per week. Its an excellent place to have your daily walk. The walking trail will lead you through many pine trees, bushes & lots of green grass. It takes about 15 minutes to walk around the entire trail. A very fresh place to be with lots of oxygen in the air, from all of the greenery. It gets very crowded at night. Mornings are best. Bring your favorite music playlist & headphones, and enjoy your walking exercise. Have fun ! read more

This is an awesome park!! Rubberized running track. Swimming pool. Multiple plastic play sets. Multiple picnic and BBQ areas. It's got charm and a sprawling area to walk around. Lots of shade for adults and kiddies to frolic. The graveyard across the street makes for an interesting backdrop whilst children are at play. I think this place has really grew ever since they added the new all weather track. People just love running in circles! Its great! This is one of my favorite city park. It located next to the Rosemead High School. Parking is no is issue, you can park in the lot as well as the street. All are short distance walking unlike some other park. This park has a lot to offer. It got a running track, bbq grill, basketball court, volleyball court, and a pool as well. It can crowded here since it got so many things to do here. Especially if you wanna play hoops, better come early. I forgot to mention they also got few workout equipment. I do wish they add better light condition here in the park. Since is can be quite dark at night time. The light doesn't cover well in some area. This park has gotten a lot better over the years with renovation. As far as complaints go, the play area (for kids) is pretty small. Actually the park itself seems pretty small in comparison to other parks like Almansor. Parking is not fantastic either, as more and more people are discovering this park. Now onto the positives. The running area is nice, maybe better than Almansor's, and encompasses a large area, circling the park. It is a great area for family to go there and relax or barbeque. The basketball area has not changed, and is still good, with full court. If you're like me, going park hopping in case one is too overcrowded, you might want to consider going here. read more

Rosemead Park has definitely gotten better over the years, and is probably one of the safer and "nicer" parks in the area. Parks are definitely hard to come by in this day and age. The park is fairly large, and has a nice running path encompassing it. There is a swings and play area (WAY better than the broken down one found at Almansor Park). They also provide a full size basketball court, where many locals come for pick up games. Benches are plentiful, and BBQ areas are pretty nice as well. Overall, great park to bring your loved ones to. read more

This park is great as it has a decent comfortable walking path. Never tried the pool but a lot of people use it. The basketball court area was recently redone and they added new lights along the walking path all around. So even at night it feels safer than before when it had areas hidden in darkness. The most recent addition is the skate area next to the pool. Great new addition as more kids and grown ups come to skate. The recent downside I have noticed is the reeking smell of pot/weed/marijuana as you come across the skate area. Even seen a teenager openly making his joint at the table located inside the skate area. To parents just be cautious of your kids getting second hand smoke from such items. read more

Weekday schedule: 5AM - You will find me and my partner working out, and ONLY US. 6AM - 60+ seniors walking on the track 7AM - Young ambitious weight losers walking around 8AM - Gradually, some dogs and their lazy owners begin to show up 9AM - Late comers 10AM - Those "I just can't get enough workouts!" still there... too reluctant to leave QUIET AS my backyard 4PM - Those old farts who can't wake up early enough 5PM - Students/kids start to show up 6PM - Some distance runners begin to show up 7PM - After-meal walkers with their dogs 8PM - walkers are still walking... 9PM - Again..Still walking 10PM - Swimming lifeguards begin their closing routine 11PM - Still not creepy yet! 12AM - You better go home if you are still wandering around. Weekend Schedule: 5AM - You will find me and my partner there sweating 5:30AM - one or two Mexicanos come to reserve the bbq grills for their 6PM parties while preparing the tables.... 6AM - Taichi group comes 7AM - Senior dancers come 8AM - Music and dancing 9AM - Weekend walkers with their dogs 10AM - Some kids may show up 11AM - 9PM Mexican music, loud noises, volleyball and soccer. Track is half a mile long, divided into 6 marked "segments", lots of BBQ spots (please dispose of your own trash!), playground in centre, basketball courts to the north-east, huge soccer fields in the north-centre, baseball fields in the north-west. The early evening is when the park has the most people on the track. There's little equipment to use to exercise along the inner side of the track and it's fun.
