I dread going to any garage because I always feel like I am getting the "she is a woman, we can charge her for anything" treatment but I didn't receive that kind of treatment from Jason and his team. From the moment I called until the time I left I felt no pressure or anxiety.They explain things well and do their best to help customers. AWESOME!!!! After going to Monroe for years, ONLY because of Jason, I was so happy to read in about him opening his OWN auto service, He is one of the most honest mechanic you will ever meet! Sorry for those that lost the Fall Creek location but there loss is NOT really a loss. Its still open, Its still the best place to have ALL your car needs addressed, It is extremely easy to get to. This is the only place I will take my car. They are so helpful and honest there. I never enter thinking I'm going to leave with unnecessary repairs. If something needs to be fixed they explain why instead of giving me ultimatums like some car repair places do. I'm a young girl who doesn't know a lot about cars and they have never tried to take advantage of that and have always taken the time to explain things to me and show me things on my car. I have had two very positive experiences with this repair shop. In both cases I was uncertain of the repairs needed and feared that I was headed for substantial parts and labor charges. They could have told me most anything. In one instance they completed the repair for a fraction of what I have been told to expect at another auto repair shop and in the second case they were able to make a minor repair without any charge. After a national chain told me that I needed to replace my transmission, I wanted a second opinion. Ten minutes at Ithaca Auto Service and I was told that contrary to what the aforementioned chain location had told me, I only needed to replace one little (inexpensive) part. They also replaced a seeping brake line and gave me an oil change (hint: check their website for awesome coupons). Awesome, honest service. I am very happy to say that the service and genuine care given is something I have never had especially from a car repair shop. They've helped me out in a crisis multiple times and have worked with me when my needs/conditions were less than favorable ( "I need this fixed in the next hour" kinda stuff). I cannot recommend them enough. When they do repairs they show you exactly what's wrong and tell you exactly what NEEDS to be fixed. I'm from out of town, and drove over some uneven ground when leaving a nearby state park. A panel from beneath the front bumper was scraped out of position, and was dragging on the pavement. I stopped at IAS and they put the car on a hoist, zip-tied the parts that were dragging, to restore ground clearance, and sent me on my way without charge! If I lived in Ithaca I would make them my regular mechanic. read more

The owner of this company is the 1st honest mechanic I have ever met he will not try to sell you brakes if you go in for a oil change like other garages around town do. I had a issue with my car and he got it in and fixed the same day for a very reasonable price. If I ever need work done to my car again I plan on going back to Kyle to have it done. read more

I use this business for all my fleet repairs. The mechanics are courteous and fast. And the prices are great! I am so happy a place like this opened up in downtown Ithaca. It's a little tricky to find, but easy with Google maps. And worth checking out for the savings and efficient service. It's on the north side of town, right by the DMV. read more
