I called the salon and asked for my money back and, they said it was their policy not to offer a full refund. Pretty much stated it was my fault and how I took care of them. The waiting massage chairs are worth it. Prior to being seated at at the pedicures there are massage chairs that are out of this world. Pedicure was awesome. My group did the jello package which was $50. Massage, hot stone, paraffin, and your water becomes a jelly. Overall good service with minor hiccups since water heater was not working to full capacity. We had an appt at 1:45 PM but didn't get back there until 2:30 PM. We understood that it was packed. She seem to be in a big hurry while buffing my toenails it was more she was buffing my toes yes it did hurt a bit. Next came the nails, regular nail polish manicure. Passing through from SW Iowa and called "It's All About You Nail and Spa" for quick pedis on the way to Denim Fest with the Iowa American Legion. Had no problem getting in when we arrived 15 minutes later from my initial phone call. We were warmly and promptly welcome, shown to some comfy seats, offered a drink and given the full menu of services. Best experience ever. It was about 2 minutes and we were sitting in wonderful massage chairs and receiving the SOS Pedi‼ The water was ready and perfect temperature and I was asked again if I needed a drink. The facility was clean and it was obvious the staff cares for the establishment and sanitation. I can't say enough about the kind and gentle service my tootsies received‼ Great music. Huge tv. Wonderful smell. Too bad I don't live in Waukee, IA‼ I highly recommend this nail salon. It is a special place. Just really a gem of a small business and so friendly and attentive. I rarely give a business a one star. But when 6 out of ten nails popped off after the 2nd worst nail salon experience in my life-- (the first one-- they ripped my skin off waxing in several places down in Austin/not sure if I yelped that as it's been years ago) But . After this place, The first nail popped off 24 hours after my "experience"... 2 more in the third day and one each the following the next few days. I wasn't going to review this place until that happened. I was taking my bad experience and moving on. Here's how it went: I was so excited to try this nail salon after having to give up my own nail tech of 3 years. I went quietly in, sat down and proceeded to have th e worst experience of my life. I tried being friendly after ignoring the nail clippers which almost cut the tip of my fingers tip off.. then by the 5th hard nail slice with the emery board.. it made me yelp really hard. I was in tears. I got the strangest feeling the tech didn't want to work in my nails from the moment she sat down and wouldn't even look me in the eyes. I thought maybe she had something personal going on so I stayed quiet and endured it.. but, I had never seen her before. I watched her put the regular "matching " polish on my toes and stated it didn't match the dip powder color I had picked out. She said "it's pretty"-- later I saw the lumpy finish when out in the light and I was annoyed that I let the whole thing continue. She kept hard filing my finger nails as if she were angry. I asked for a short coffin nail finish. She cut my regular nails down to the shortest. And then proceded to put longer nails on. I politely said I couldn't type with them that long. She kept saying she would file later.. not so. I had to ask a couple times at the end. I was just sucking it up for the most part until she did it so hard I cried out in pain as it was a sharp and sudden pain. The owner came over and finished up and HE took my hands and started a massage with gloves -- which was very rough and I felt like I was being punished for being hurt. I think he was doing it to save face with the people nearby. But it was awful. I didn't just leave because I was still in shock they spoke rudely and acted like it was my fault she kept cutting me with the emery board. He said-- this doesn't normally come with the service. I told him he didn't need to do it. I just wanted to leave I do wanted to like this place andkept giving them chances. He took me back to his wife for waxing , whom I had noticed upon arrival because she was beautiful and I stated that in an effort to keep the peace. . She was working on someone else also and stopped to do the wax job. I had started looking at the bad color match on my nails and toes again.. and she took a tone and said "what is wrong"... I said, " I'm just looking at the color." After that her nice demeanor disappeared. She waxed my brows and left was in my hair and ripped the wax things roughly off my face. All I gotta say is DON't. disagree with these people and nobody gets hurt. I read the reviews before going...I thought I was safe. I am a great tipper but only left 15.00 for my nails. That's the only statement I was gonna make until the nails all popped off. You can see the color on my nails do not even come close to being in the same hue of pink. And-- when I first sat down, I observed the male tech Ying working in a couple little girls... thinking to myself-- he is good with them-- until the mother walked away and he told the little girl who looked about 8.. that he couldn't handle all their drama! Who tells a little girl that? They were getting ready to leave town for a wedding and we're pretty good from what I could see. The little one who went first was spirited but not badly behaved. He came over to help my nail tech prep a little while she was working on my toes... During small talk .. He told me I was in Iowa, not Dallas, and that "up here " we are way more liberal than down there. I wanted to say something funny and sarcastic back but after his comments to the prior customers -- I didn't. I don't think his ego could take it. And later , after I cried over the hard slices with my nail tech he told me I was in Iowa , not Dallas... I merely said I had never had someone slice my fingers and almost cut the tip off my fingertip ... in all my years getting nails done. I almost left when I first arrived when I heard the male owner yell loudly and rude for someone out of the back to come do the nails. Wish I had. I was trying to ignore some little subtle red flags because the prior reviews and the very clean and nice facility were a big factor for me. I hate posting bad reviews .. but this place earned it. I was going to politely move on.. again, until the nails all started popping off. It's been a little over a week since I had them done but by day 6 -- 6 were gone. read more

I love this place! I had gotten dips done at another location, and they were poorly done. I came here and they got them taken off and pit new ones on, and showed me what to look for as signs it's not being done properly. They have a pretty good selection of colors in dip, acrylic, and regular polish. The nail art the do is beautiful, and the prices are very reasonable. I went to get my nails done here today and had the WORST nail experience of my life. I get my nails done monthly and decided to try this place since it had good reviews. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH HARASSMENT AND DISRESPECT AS I DID TODAY AT THIS PLACE. Upon arrival, the group of girls I was with and I were harassed by a male customer whom I later found out was a regular. They refused to kick him out even after an hour of verbal harassment towards my friends and myself. The workers kept telling him to hush and assured me that he would be leaving soon. He continued to bother us throughout our entire appointment. He even threatened to punch me in the face. I did not receive a discount on my services, just apologies from the nail techs and owner who did NOTHING to stop him from harassing us. I was expecting them to kick him out but they never did. Do not go here!!!! The lady who did my pedicure cut my big toenail WAY too short. And then proceeded to file it and scrub it when I leaned forward in pain and told her to be careful with it multiple times. She was not paying attention. And then add to the fact that I put my feet in shoes hours after I thought my toes had dried and the polish still got messed up. Made an appointment for a gel manicure. First reaction to the Salon was that it looked nice. The girl who did my nails stood up the entire time like she was in a hurry even though my sister and I were the only clients in at the time they opened. She did not let my nails sit under the light for the alloted 60 seconds like the girl who did my sister's. We started at the same time and it took my sister 15min longer to get hers done. The got a glob of the clear gel on my thumb nail, then dried it, and then tried to blame me for bumping my nail. The gel was all over my cuticles which made the gel polish pop clean off within 14 hours. 6 total have popped off within 4 days. Terrible job. I will not go back. read more

Love the massage chair! I actually dosed off for a couple minutes I was so relaxed. I have been getting dip manicures every three weeks at another area salon. I was excited to find out this salon offered dip manicures as they are much closer to home than my regular salon. Prices are a little higher but it is closer to home. I am very disappointed to report that after only six days one of my nails has chipped! I have never had this happen in the past year from my regular salon.
