This was the second bridal shop I had tried to find a wedding dress (something I wasn't even convinced I really wanted). That was until I met Katie in a last minute Saturday morning try on appointment with my future mother-in-law in attendance. She was very friendly, straight forward & made this visit effortless. The experience was comfortable and felt undemanding. What surprised me is; I got a dress that 100% loved on the hanger but was not what I thought I wanted AT ALL! However; when I put it on, I just absolutely loved how fun & unique it was! I'm glad Katie was so honest and had me try on different styles to rule some out. My only hope is that I can convince my fiancé to come try on tux's. I would recommend this business to anyone! Side note; this was an old bank & the vault inside is super cool.

The staff informed us that this is the original location, so it's the smallest of the three in town, but there was so much to look at! I can't wait to check out the larger locations! All of the staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. Everything was pretty well organized and not too overwhelming. There is definitely a lot inside, but in my opinion, you don't feel crowded and can easily look around for hours in here. All of the prices are wonderful as well! Everything is so affordable as well, and in great condition; some items are even brand new! Overflow beats Goodwill any day of the week! Most yarn stores I go to don't have cotton yarns which are great for Amigurumi (something I'm really into right now). They even had a cool Amigurumi book that I've had my eye on for a while. They also had some Amigurumi animals that they had made up using the cotton yarns, which is really a smart idea because they showed off the yarns really well. I chatted with a person who I think was the owner and she was really friendly and helpful. We talked about Amigurumi and crocheting, which I found very refreshing because most of the yarn stores I've been to cater mostly to knitters. I really like that they had books and tools for knitters and crocheters. I do both but I'm more comfortable with crocheting. I bought a hank of cotton yarn and the woman I was chatting with wound it into a ball for me. I really love that! They also teach knitting and crocheting classes. I can't wait to take one of their classes. I just can't say enough good things about this place. It feels like a relaxed and fun environment. I wish there was a store like this in Des Moines.
