You will find candy here that you wont find anywhere else. But typical tourist trap.. their prices are outragesous. Their pirces are 3-5 time what you normally pay for things. Such as some peeler gummies that you buy at 5 below, they were "on sale" for 2 for $15.. makes me wonder how much they are when they are not "on sale". read more

The candy choices are immense!! There's even places to buy by the pound! My sons are grown and they all love going in and seeing the candy they grew up on and more!! This place never disappoints!! Candy everywhere! My first visit to IT'SUGAR was in Atlantic City. We love gummy bears and had to drop by this location while in SC. Their gummy bears are always fresh. They have a nice chew and don't taste like they've been sitting there for years. In addition to regular sized gummy bears, IT'SUGAR offers mini and super sized ones. Their mini and regular sized come in a variety of flavors: Green Apple, Strawberry, Pineapple, Raspberry, Grape, Peach, Watermelon, and Cherry. My favorites are the Strawberry, Peach, and Watermelon. If you're not into gummy candies, they have plenty of other items to fulfill your sweet tooth. There are zip lock bags available throughout the store. You help yourself with the candy, which can be dangerous. We definitely loaded our bags and it can get pricey. read more

I love all the funny and ironic special candies they sell, plus all the usual bulk type items. We stopped in while at Broadway on the Beach and the selection is HUGE. As others have said, don't go too crazy, it is expensive. Expensive, but fun. You can find lots of unique gifts for people here and the place is huge. This is a must stop for my kids during any visit to Broadway at the Beach. Its a large store and centrally located. A lot of times there are fun things happening right outside the store cause its situated in like a "square" where people gather and street performers entertain. Sometimes the balloon animal guy is out there too! Anyway back inside its a spacious store and its bright and there's always loud fun music playing. They have an ice cream and donut shop attached at the far end of the store which is fun. The prices are pricier as you would expect but they often run specials and they always have a sale section so you can get out of there with a treat and not break the bank. My rule of thumb to the kids is to only pick something we can't find at any of our local stores. That way it kind of justifies the increase in price? You want a kit kat? No. We can get that anywhere for half the price. You want some gummy sushi? Sure. That's harder to find and fun too. read more

This place rocks! It gives the candy stores in New York City a run for their money. It's always packed and the music is fun; last time the "Casper Slide" was on and many customers in the store were dancing and clapping along. The candy is a priced higher than you would pay for it at Wal-Mart, but the selection can't be beat. There are five-pound Gummy Bears, foot long Twizzlers, and Nerds and Runts that come in cereal boxes. Not to mention about fifty different Pez dispensers. This store has every candy known to man. They have candy related apparel from different candy brands as well as their own. The It's Sugar apparel is aimed at teenage girls, but a bit on the racy side. There's also an "adult" candy section with edible underwear and things of that nature. I can spend a good thirty minutes in this store every time I visit. There are so many things to look at and if it wasn't so expensive, I would have walked out with some bacon flavored toothpaste and pickle floss as a joke for my friends. Okay, so I turned 30 this year, so during my vacation when I found out there was a big candy store in Myrtle Beach, I tried to play it cool. I was all "yeah, I guess we could head over and take a look." I feigned indifference even as we walked up to the store, but as soon as I crossed the threshold and my eyes adjusted to the light, I took off running with a giant smile on my face. There was so much candy, I couldn't stop smiling as I ran from bulk bin to bulk bin going "oh look they have wax bottles!! Candy legos!! Gummy bears sorted by flavor!!!" I was about to grab a bag to fill which would be weighed when I noticed a cute little take out container box that was brightly colored and said "addicted to sugar" on the side. The sign said $14.99 filled. I had to ask someone if the box needed to be able to close and she said yes. Boo. I bought it anyway and I packed and filled that thing to the brim. Rock candy, blue raspberry twizzlers, gummy bears, chewy spree, you name it, it went in my box of treats. It's Sugar had plenty of candy, but they also had candy related stuff like pillows, clothes, headphones, and more. We had a lot of fun looking around at everything and I was even more excited to learn that there's an It's Sugar within 30 minutes from where I live. While visiting Broadway at the Beach, I noticed an enormous candy store. Considering my love of candy, I promptly dragged my friend inside. It'Sugar is a very interesting candy shop... most of the sweets are domestic, novelty, and familiar items. But there are occasional items that are harder to find and really cute candy-themed clothes, accessories, pillows, and household items. You can even make your own candy bar! My favorite find was a milk chocolate bar that had popping candy inside (like pop rocks). I think popping candy is the way of the future and I loved the idea! It is so festive and such bright colors everywhere and it is so much fun just to watch the people. You can grab a bag and fill it with dark chocolate covered raisins, gummy bears. twizzlers, whatever you dream of. It is $2.99 a quarter pound so select carefully. Weigh it on your own before you go to the counter. It does not take a lot to hit that weight. My two grandsons and their parents and myself had a blast just walking around. We found purple and black m&m's for our beloved Ravens. Candy every where! They have giant candy bars, giant gummy bears, candy sushi, 4-5 big round tables of assortment candies to fill your own bag. We were in candy heaven! They have candy labeled pillows and other novelties. It was very overwhelming in this store, so it's very important to be prepared, stay calm, breath, and don't get over your head! We ended up spending more money then we would have liked (the candy better last us a month!). So being that it's pricey, I'm giving it a 4 star. Wall to wall candy, every sort you could imagine. You can mix and match anything you like, which is cool. They also have some cool novelty items like candy cereal and GIANT candy bars. A little expensive, but that seems to be the trend with candy stores in the area. Not sure about their $1 sucker to benefit kids in hospitals. If you look closely at the sign, it says "a portion of the proceeds" goes to those kids. Every time I visit I ask what the portion is, I even e-mailed their website, still haven't gotten an answer. For the second time going into its sugar I have been short changed. Yesterday my total was $12 and I paid with a $20 and they gave me $1 back. They then told me oh I thought it was $19 sorry. I thought maybe a mistake. Then today we happen to go back spent $4 paid with a $50 she gave me back $26 not the $46 I was owed. The manager had to come over to get the money out of the cash register period never apologized for anything these people are con artists. Best one stop shop at the beach for seasoned crickets and bacon band-aids. I can spend hours in this store with my kids looking at all of the unique little baubles. Unfortunately the candy bar candy is more money per pound than a top sirloin, so getting out without spending is near impossible. read more

a bit expensive as other reviewers have stated (especially on the overseas candy!! world market has them beat there), but i guess you're paying for the experience (which includes /very/ loud music and /very/ bright colors - so if you're prone to sensory overload like me and most people i know you might want to proceed with caution lol). they do have a pick your own candy thing with little bags so that's fun if you like a variety, as well as lots and lots of novelty home brand and blue q goods, which are always fun to look through. in summary, it's worth going through even if just for a minute to see everything they have and maybe blow $30 on candy you'll completely finish on the walk back to your car. read more

We took the kids to Broadway at the Beach and I could not believe when we saw the big IT'SUGAR sign. Myrtle Beach had an IT'SUGAR!!! Second IT'SUGAR store i have been in and just as awesome as the other! It is HUGE. My kids had never been in an IT'SUGAR so they went crazy buying all the candy. The product tends to skew slightly older hi-lighted by their portrats of incredible IT'SUGAR models. My daughter wants to be an IT'SUGAR model when she grows up. My husband baught me a gummy bra. This store is a MUST see when you are in Myrtle Beach. By far the best part of our vacation (it rained all three days). Bring your wallet unless you can keep control of the kids (and husband). read more
