Super fun dessert spot with something for the whole family. This was my first time visit their new location (not the bowling alley). Really nice space but the dining concept has changed from my experience at three other locations. They now offer dine in or takeout, but the dine in is more full service restaurant style with a server. Not sure how you would take these shakes to go. Seems unnecessary for table service but I'm sure they rack up the tips now. Anyway, shakes are all fun and creative and always delicious. My kids love the strawberry cheesecake one, the cookie one, and the mint one. My wife and I decided to try something new on this stop. She has gone non-dairy so she got the açaí and oat, which was a nice açaí bowl like dessert option. She really enjoyed it. I got the turtle waffle. They make liege waffles (never noticed that before!) and this one was topped with brownie batter ice cream, brownie bites, chocolate covered pretzels, whipped cream, and caramel. Absolutely scrumptious. Look, it's pricy here, but they do a great job and it's something that everyone will get a kick out of. We do crazy mason about 1-2 times a year and that's enough for us probably. If you haven't been, it's worth bringing the family when everyone has saved a lot of room for dessert. This was definitely a good experience after a day of shopping at the mall. It got us out of the craziness from Black Friday. It is a really cute set up and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There was even a small arcade area for the kiddos. We were a little surprised when we were seated at a table with a waitress (we expected an order counter and open seating). Both milkshakes were great! One topped with a sugar waffle and the other with an entire piece of cheesecake. The flavors were rich and the whipped cream was perfect. Lucky for us we visited the one in Myrtle Beach which wasn't as crowded and was a big place. It was nicely decorated almost whimsical. We were sat immediately by the hostess. The menu is a bit overwhelming if you have a sweet tooth. There is so much to ready over and to decide! The prices are expected for the masterpieces that they make. However it is a big serving of everything, even the kids size. The flavors were very tasty and creamy. There is also an arcade for the kids to enjoy. Portion sizes were a lot smaller than I expected. These aren't full size Mason jars and for thr price, they definitely should be. I see this place as simply a novelty for tourists to primarily waste money on their kids. They whole entire brand and everything they do is geared toward that and that's fine, it's just way, way, way overpriced. I dont really see what theyre offering as being very creative. They use Blue Bell ice cream, which I can buy in the store, just as I can basically everything that they're serving. 17 bucks for a mini mason jar is just plain insane. You also have to clean up your own table and wash your own jar. One positive was that it didnt take them very long to complete our order even though it was very busy on a Friday in July. It's confusing when you walk in especially since no one is standing up front to direct you for carryout orders. But once you figure out where to to there will be a wait as the cashiers look like they also helping tables. We had a question about one of the items but no one was at the register we tried to ask an employee walking around if they could dip their cones but he said he didnt know. So seems there are still some kinks to work out here. But overall a nice vacation spot for those wanting to cool off. May give them another chance. read more

You can get really crazy shakes in Masson jars to a cobbler with ice cream. The staff is welcoming and friendly ready to help you with their menu. YASSSSS JUST YASSSSSS. I came from Texas and this has got to be the best milkshake I've ever had in my life. Pshhhhh and they say "everything's bigger in Texas". Not the milkshakes honey. The $21 is also worth it because you get to KEEP the mason jar. They even have a rinse station for them in the seating area. I will for sure be coming back next time I'm in town. A hoppin' place to be for a good time with family and friends, even in the off-season. I was grateful that we got our seats when we did, but my goodness did these decadent treats take time to create! We watched as others were served huge creations of sugar and decorations. One of the 4 of us enjoyed a slice of peanut butter pie. I had a mini shake and the other two got official, crazy Mason jar shakes with souvenir glasses. Went here again on Sunday July 27th 2025 with my parents and Aunt. There was actually a wait for both to go and inside dining- can you believe- a wait for ice cream? In all due credit though, The Crazy Mason is a popular ice cream place. Anyways, after waiting for a while, we finally sat down at a high top table. Our server was very nice, and explained menu options, as well as was knowledgable on what the restaurant had that night, as they did run out of vanila ice cream. Side note also- Sunday night could be a bad time to go because they are out of some items, but I was also informed that they get more items the next morning. Anyways, I got Cotton Candy in a cup with gummy bears, My mom got vanila soft serve, my dad got a sundae, and my aunt got something with pistacio ice cream in which she said was good! I only indulge in ice cream goodness twice a year, and I make sure it is worth the wait. So, each year, I pick 2 new places to try ice cream. I came across Crazy Mason via their billboard ads on hwy 17, and a quick search on yelp convinced me that I should give this a try. I came here during early spring on a day when the weather was 80 degrees, so the place was not crazy busy but was close to full. We sat inside, and a nice staff took our order.  I got the fudging best (a must have for chocolate lovers), and my husband got the dashing through the dough (aka cookie dough). You can order a small size or a regular size, the small ones come in a plastic mason jar, while the regular ones come in a glass jar. We opted for the regular size, even though I knew I wouldn't be able to finish the ice cream/milk shake in one sitting. The ice cream shakes didn't disappoint. The flavors were very rich, and the portions are quite huge; they don't skimp on any of the toppings. I had about 1/3 of it at the restaurant, and it took me 2 days to finish the rest. The place has a very chic decor. The ice creams were delivered within 10-15 minutes after we ordered. The staff was very friendly. One thing I've always said is that there should be a dessert restaurant and I can't believe I actually found one. Of course it's not located where I live but at least I know it exists. The milk and cookies dessert, while good for the first two bites the cookie got hard and was overly too sweet. My daughter got the Fudg'n Good was Fudg'n Looked good but was disgustingly too chocolately. The brownie flavor was not good at all and the syrup used was chocolate I think...but I'm still not certain. So I have wanted to try Crazy Mason when it was at a different location. We were near the mall so we stopped by to try ! It was a little hard to figure out how things work- we grabbed a menu and waited in line- the cashier was very efficient using both registers to get orders quickly. She was very friendly and efficient. So after you order they take your phone number and text when your order is ready. Looks like there is a play area for kids. T-shirts for sale and a separate register just for scoops of ice cream. Ice cream order was finished- they called our name long before I got the text (text didn't show until after we left)... I guess it depends on your phone service- AT&T didn't seem to work well there. I had the Sweet and Salty, my hubby had the Short and Sweet. Delicious and fun. If you are craving fun ice cream it's a must try. The dishes that are in mason jars- the jars are yours to keep. Average mason jar treat is about 15$. While waiting at the mall for my Aunt I quickly glanced at the area map. I saw this milk shake spot on the map and figured my daugther would want one. Once I looked at the menu I couldn't believe my eyes. We quickly headed over once my aunt returned. The menu is quite massive. A ton of different options. We sat down and went through the options as well as reviewing the photos. I believe each shake is $15 which to me is more than worth it for the quality milkshake that you get. We ordered the following: You Gotta Be Puddin Me Where it all Pecan Have Your Cake and Eat it too Crazy Pop Of Color I personally ordered the Have Your cake and eat it too. The cupcake was delicious. The milkshake was SUPERB. It was so good, I almost went back before the closed. My daughter devoured her Crazy Pop of Color. She enjoyed the sour patch's they include with the shake. This restaurant is just for ice creams and desserts only. It's cute and stylish with nice Decor and pretty Chandeliers. They were busy when we came last night and had about a 10 minute wait. They have an array of flavors, swirls and mix-ins and their signature concoctions. We got the Mash Up which consists of Chocolate Cookie Dough, Oreo Cookie, Chips Ahoy Cookie, blended with Vanilla ice cream, vanilla icing and other oowey gooey stuff. And they have a cleaning station where you can clean your Mason Jar before you leave. Our server and the Staff were friendly and attentive. So had to wash my shoe in the sink. We discovered Crazy Mason two years ago when it was a counter service concept in a bowling alley. It was a gem and we decided it should be an annual tradition for us. Then they moved. The new stand alone is disappointing from start to finish. The restaurant is now table service. But I use that term very lightly. I used to wait tables and I don't mind tipping servers. But there are things that a customer should be able to expect from a table service establishment. One is water. We were told that we had to purchase bottles of water because they didn't have a filtered tap. If I am expected to tip, you should be expected to refill my drink. Our server took our order (it didn't help that she wasn't friendly or personable), then came back with cheap plastic spoons and the worst paper napkins I have ever used. Again, if I am paying a premium for service, I expect better quality. Give me a real spoon and order better napkins for my $20 milkshake. At the end of the experience she asked if we wanted boxes (for milkshakes?!) and told us that we could wash our own glass in the sink, but not the left one because that was broken. So even with very few customers present, I waited in line to wash my cup. The sink smelled horrible like the pipes are backed up. When I got to the sink, the water could not run hot enough to clean frosting and peanut butter off the cups. I'd also note that this is extremely dangerous for anyone with peanut allergies because there is no cross-contamination control. Oh. And they forgot the lollipop on my daughter's shake. I didn't even realize that until I was writing this. The "server" (really a food runner) came back to run our card and the screen asked if we wanted to tip 25%. I would be happy to if there was any attempt at customer service here. Oh, and they charged us 2% extra for using a credit card. More fees for standard operating costs. The customer is definitely not valued in this establishment. This is definitely not the gem it once was. The milkshakes are delicious, and that is the only reason this is a 2 star instead of a 1 star. read more

Undeniably fun novelty treat - we have been repeat customers with our kids every year on vacation. But this newer location is so poorly executed / managed I can't imagine returning again. When paying almost $20 bucks a head for a *milkshake* I would not expect to be 1) charged for WATER, 2) required to wait through full table service, or 3) then also be charged additional fees for using my credit card. If you're going to force people to wait and pay for table service for a milkshake then it should include something more than slapping down some disposable cutlery with the added privilege of washing your own cup. read more

Very well done, also got a double scoop of Oatmeal Cream Pie and Peanut Butter Overload. Peanut Butter Overload was a little bit closer to chocolate ice cream than I had hoped. But was still really good. Pound cake is a little thick, but can still be broken down and mixed into your milkshake. All in all, very delicious and obviously very sweet. Wanted to take the kids out for a treat and found this place on Yelp. The place was packed when we got there, so we took pics and people watched. Everyone was having such a great time. The place is decorated cute, definitely a very popular place. The kids didn't take long to pick what they wanted. I don't eat ice cream so it was easy to be good. I did enjoy watching the kids devour their shakes. This place would easily be a five-star experience, but it's a solid four. When you get the mason jars milkshakes, you get to keep the mason jars as a souvenir. The problem with that is you have to go wash your own mason jar at the sinks that are next to two tables. It gets very congested over there with a long line, unfortunately, there are two tables right next to it. I would not have been happy if I was sitting there. They could turn over tables quickly If they just had somebody bus the tables and give the customers a new mason jar. It would stop the crowds by the sink and open up the tables for new customers. They spent about 10 minutes in line. When we left, the line was out the door and the tables outside were packed. We came at a great time and kids enjoyed. read more

Server location = worst experience Non server location = great experience This location was the lowest out of 5 I have been to. This location has you sit and then a server takes it from there. I'm not sure why a shake place would want to have servers as opposed to all their other locations I've been to. We had a party of 12 and it took awhile to be seated. Because this one has servers and supposedly we all have to sit at one table. We told them they didn't need to. But with gum smacking and easily seen the person who later was our server put our name in. Once seated the server made sure we had ample time to look at the menu before ordering, because apparently she didn't think while waiting and holding menus we would have done that already. While talking our order, with her mouth not far behind my ear, not only did she make sure to project loud but also continue smacking her mint gum. Later my friend with me said the server had her thigh against his shoulder while taking orders. It took almost 45-60 minutes for the shakes to come out. While the server placed the shakes on the table she leaned between my wife and me, with her chest turned toward my face only inches away to place the shake down for my friend in my other side. When we were done, it was like being held hostage to get our checks so we could pay. The device you are shown your bill on is very tiny writing and difficult to see without readers. We have always enjoyed Crazy Mason, but I won't be back for server service. 1.5 hours for shakes, is a bit crazy. read more
