I'm very clearly upset and in pain and this receptionist proceeds to comment "girrrrl, rawr" and ask me if I want an appointment for Monday. After that comment, I shook my head no and proceed to walk out.

Wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend......but The only reason I give this one star is due to one person, Misty who is in charge of FMLA paperwork. This particular FMLA that my employer required was not something she was familiar with. The form was filled out incorrectly multiple times. Multiple messages, calls and emails were left to no avail. Finally reached her colleague, who then filled it out by herself within 2 hours, because she left early. Must recently I asked for a return to work form. Misty once again did not respond to multiple emails. One box needed to be marked that I have no restrictions and can return with a date became another mountain. Like before she never once called me back and after multiple calls had to explain to her coworker that by not filling out this paperwork, I could lose my job. The one and only email she finally replies, with we will not extend your leave. I never asked her to extend my time off. Again multiple calls, to wherein which her colleague said, she may or may not get back to you right away but we'll backlog the date and make sure it's done. In the end she submitted a fax with incorrect info and incorrect location. The experience was wonderful but turned sour due to the inability to fill 2 pieces of paper. Emergency surgery is not easy and to almost beg for a correctly filled paper is extremely exhausting. I won't be asking again as it appears it won't ever be filled out correctly. My experience was like a lavishly decorated cupcake with a little poop on top.

Luckily, you will find both at Naab Road Surgical Center. I was not a patient at the surgical center, just a loved one in the waiting room. But from my perspective, this place runs like a well-oiled machine. I thought we would be in there for at least three hours, but we were out in 2 hours, and I didn't feel like they rushed anything -- they just knew what they were doing. From a patient's perspective: The nurses and doctors all took the time to explain the procedure, made sure to answer questions, and made sure you're comfortable. You get warm blankets, too. That's a nice touch. Everyone we encountered was friendly and professional. You could tell that they had everything under control, which puts a person's mind at ease. As for the waiting room: It's a little boring, so be sure to bring reading material or your laptop or what have you. They have free wifi, but you need to ask the person at the front desk for the password. There's free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and there's a vending machine with snacks and beverages. There's also a water fountain with a water-bottle refilling station. There's one big TV, but it was on a weather channel. I brought my laptop with me to work while I waited, but we were in and out so quickly that I didn't have much time to get anything done! I like a medical facility that is orderly and gets you in and out in a timely manner.

After writing our names on blue slips of paper our interaction with the front desk was nonexistent. We were called to the back by a friendly young lady where we filled out forms and answers questions. Then taken for our weight and blood pressure. Next room we talked to the nurse further and filled out more paperwork. Dr Lobo came in and we talked to her about where we were traveling to. Filled out more forms and consent for getting a vaccine produced outside the US. The US vaccine is currently out of production. Signed the forms and and nice young lady came in and gave is our vaccine. She did a very good job. I despise needles and I get very nervous. Only a slight pinch and it was done. We did wait a few minutes just incase we had a reaction but we were good and on our way. Great until the bill comes if insurance doesn't pay.

I was poked 4 times by 3 different people to finally get one tube of blood. My only other complaint is the time it took. I got there at 2:50 for a 3:00 appointment and I didn't get out of there until almost 5:30.

We got to see Dr. Vanatta I think that's how you spell it and she was a pediatrician. I really loved how great of a job she did with my bubba and how nice she was! She was very knowledgeable about what was going on with him and I left out feeling much better. After I sat down I got the txt to check in and had to dig my phone out and take a picture front and back of the ins. card and ID, after 2 people at the checkin desk had already entered all of the info. (appalling). Another 15 minutes before being called back, then 2 different people had to come in and get my entire rundown, which was such a minor problem that I was there for. The truth that they are lazy, and they're satisfied with their fat take from taxpayer dollars for doing a substandard job. Instead of working for admiration and respect, they take on honors made for themselves, but do not live up to them by earning their keep. They're not asking for people's opinion on that either. The supporting staff that make it all work, the Nurses, CNAs, Housekeeper, Dietary, Admissions and Discharge all work so well together for the best outcome of the patient emotionally and physically! . This team of everyone made my surgery and my stay there as pleasant as they possibly could. I cannot say enough wonderful things about these professionals and this facility. This is the IU Health - Glendale Town Center practice, a practice devoted to primary care and also…read morepediatrics. There's also a lab available in this office. For those familiar with Glendale Town Center, this is located on the second floor of the offices section of the complex on the side directly off of East 62nd Street. There's a small lobby/storefront area directly next to Mattress Firm that has an elevator that will take you to the second floor. There's also a set of stairs available for those who prefer. I needed to establish care with a new primary care physician as my previous one relocated to Shelbyville and is just a bit too far away for me. I'd previously looked at appointments here, however, they were a couple months out and I skipped it. However, because I attend an IU Health clinic elsewhere they were able to get me in within a couple weeks. They do have automatic doors for those who need them. That's a plus. I also noted very quickly that this was one of the better looking and cleaner IU Health clinics I've experienced. I arrived a good 15-20 minutes before my scheduled check-in time and checked in at the front desk. Because I'm an established IU Health patient, I didn't really need to do much else. I waited in the waiting room until I was called. I was taken back in a timely manner. They asked me how I usually got weighed (I don't usually as most clinics are not set up for wheelchair users) and I did note they didn't have any of the modern tech that would do that without a scale. I was taken into an exam room - very small room that would definitely not be considered ADA compliant. It was so small I had to move quite a bit in order for the employees to get around me. I did like that they had an exam bed that was lower to the ground and adjustable. However, this was definitely not an appropriate room for a wheelchair user. My doctor was Dr. Boyce. We had a nice conversation about my needs for the day. She only works part-time in the clinic and we also discussed that. It was a fine appointment - not outstanding, however, there was really nothing wrong with it. I was somewhat hesitant to establish with IU as they are not the top tier of my insurance, however, Dr. Boyce seems nice and this is very close to my home. So, it should work. My hope is that in the future I can utilize a more appropriate exam room. However, overall, this was a solid experience with friendly staff and a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
