I called this morning to establish care as a new patient, but unfortunately, I experienced one of the worst initial encounters with a primary care practice. I explained that I had been referred by a family member and was seeking more information about becoming a new patient, at which point I was placed on hold. The next employee who answered the call was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Rather than offering assistance, I was met with disrespect and even blamed for her frustrated tone. As someone who also works in the healthcare profession, I believe that every patient or client deserves to be treated as a priority in that moment. While I understand that this field can be demanding and overwhelming at times, the foundation of our work is compassion and a commitment to care for others as we would expect or want to be cared for. I feel that if this is not a priority, considering a role that does not involve direct interaction with individuals seeking help and guidance would be more appropriate. Professionalism and empathy are essential components in this setting. It's crucial that all staff members demonstrate principles that reflect integrity, grace, respect, and compassion in every patient interaction, from the front desk and beyond. I hope moving forward, other patients who contact your office will be provided with a different experience, and as a team, you can offer a more positive and compassionate experience in the future. read more

Called to get my DOT Physical long form faxed over to me while I'm in Missouri attending school. I was hung up on the 1st time. Called right back and the phone rung for 5 minutes before she answered again. When she finally answered, I provided all information needed and she told me to call back in 30 minutes because she was too busy to help me being that she had other customers. Am I not a customer? Why even answer the phone? Shouldn't they wait just like I have to? I've had nothing but bad experiences at this place and I've only been once. NEVER again and I'll be sure to let the company know not to send any drivers over there again. read more

This is the worst PCP practice I've ever been to. The front desk staff are rude and completely unprofessional. They are always talking loud and gossiping amongst themselves while ignoring patients walking in. They should be careful as to what they say when speaking Spanish as they don't know who can understand them. They never answer their phones. When they finally do answer they always place you on long hold times before disconnecting you. Every time I've called I had to call at least 5 times before someone would actually answer and every single time I was immediately put on hold. I've never been treated so badly as I was by the woman in the lab. The nurse told me to wait by her door and when I did it took her almost 5 minutes to even acknowledge me before she snapped at me to go sit down. She made me feel very uncomfortable with her extremely bad attitude and rudeness during my entire blood draw. She seemed overwhelmed with her job and took it out on me. They never call you back with lab work results. Yesterday during my appointment the nurse asked me to tell her what I needed to be seen for. Before I could even finish one sentence she cut me off and rudely said "tell it to the doctor when he comes in". Why ask me to tell you why I'm there if you don't want to hear it? Both her and Dr. Mo rushed me through my appointment so quickly. They both spent less than 2 minutes with me and neither listened to anything I said. They were both in a big hurry and seemed stressed out but they should learn how to be professional and not show it or take it out on their patients. The entire staff seem to all share the same bad attitude including the doctors. They could all stand to take a class on customer service. I refuse to ever continue going to a practice that employs these type of people who treat their patients so horribly. I found a new PCP and would never recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I had been a patient there for several years mainly because they at one time were open on Saturday mornings. I initially saw Dr. Mefford. Then I saw PAs who thought they were physicians changing my meds on the first visit. I want a doctor who I can see on a regular basis which did not happen in this office. I will no longer deal with the smart remarks from the PAs that I wear bad shoes, eat too many flour tortillas when that was not the reason for toenail fungus. They are not open to listening and are rude. One changed my Rx and my feet became swollen like footballs. She snapped at me that it was not a side effect of what she prescribed. I quit taking it and I'm fine. I agree that the woman taking blood was extremely rude. Office staff didn't seem to care. I switched to another PCP. After being there, I got a call from FB Premier that I needed to come in to get a refill for my meds. This was months after I no longer went there. Will not go back. Ridiculous I saw 6 different health providers in as many years. And they leave so that is an indication something is not right there. read more

Dr. Mefford needs to return to his roots at FortBend Premiere Care IMMEDIATELY. Me and my family have suffered through Prather and her unwillingness to administer antibiotics, her unwillingness to treat a distressed patient that was told to come in to the office to see the doctor in order to get meds; to only be greeted with "I can prescribe the one medicine but I can't prescribe the ADHD medicine because we only do sick patients on Saturday??" So in her mind, she thought it was acceptable to ask a patient to come back a second time and pay a second office visit, in order to prescribe ADHD medicine??? Really what happened to common sense? Now.... I call asking for special dispensation because my daughter, who lives out of state, will only be in town on Saturday and needs her monthly ADHD medicine refilled. Guess what!!...... the same response, nope... no way.... only if you're ill. I know doctors are busy but so is the rest of the world. Me and my family are the customers and what happened to customer satisfaction. I guess what ended it for me is when I sat in the waiting room on a Saturday morning for about 2 hours with NO air conditioning!!!! When I inquired as to why, I was told the air conditioner was turned off because the office manager was mad and had blamed the staff for the A/C unit braking. (I am grateful the front desk staff placed fans in the lobby for a little relief!) Once again... Gotta Love That Customer Service!!!!!!! Rubio was AWESOME but now she's gone. What remains is a poor excuse for quality medical care. We have been with this group for quite a long time but because of the lack of care and consideration we received at this establishment, they just lost 4 paying customers!!! read more

After seeing Liz Prather for the flu and an unrelenting sore throat with ulcers and thrush, she gave me absolutely nothing for the pain, nothing for the thrush that spread from untreated tonsillitis, no antibiotics to kill anything else invading my body while fighting the flu. Now I have strep... with a history of rheumatic fever at 17! The way these doctors think about giving antibiotics is delaying getting well, causing other infections to creep in, and I've had this for 7 days with no relief, missing an entire week of work( more than ever)!. I have eaten Ibuprofen every 4 hours, until my liver has now added diarhea to my ills for 2 days. Even if you don't think antibiotics will help a virus(and being a former nurse, we all know), they will stop something else lurking around while your T-cells are in the ER. Now I had to go to Urgent Care and I might get to go back to work on Tuesday. I've been bed bound longer and would have been back to work by now if Liz Prather had done her job. No more P.A.s for me. If it doesn't say M.D., you better find me one! I've changed my Preferred Provider and will NOT be going back to die! read more
