I thought it was really cool to see everyone's personality really shine through in their picture, and it was especially awesome having a keepsake for everyone to remember my bachelorette party. Only book if you're fluent in planning weddings or plan to use an outside planner. The venue is beautiful but WORST SERVICE EVER!!! And at about $30K!!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. We never felt welcomed, and I will never forget walking in less than a week before my wedding (because my wedding planner changed a week before) and being scanned up and down by my old wedding planner and the management as I said hi and smiled to them, and didn't get a single response or smile in return as a walked by with my new wedding planner who was provided by Ashton Gardens. It is now November, and they still struggle with communication of whether a clothes steamer was left there. It's been over a month since I have reached out, I have reached out three times to a personal number and no response. Just about sums up the communication with said wedding planner for 14 months. The day of was a disaster and yelp would not let me type everything out because it was 'too negative'... when it was the order of events and how many things went wrong. Don't recommend. What a wonderful event we had at the Petroleum Club of Houston to celebrate our 40th anniversary…read more Since our anniversary is sandwiched between Christmas and Valentine's, House of Hough steered us in the right direction with only a touch of red (40th anniversary color) in the napkins on the dining tables and more red on the hors d'oeuvres and cocktail tables, They offer a choice of napkin folds, and we chose the vertical cummerbund. We thought it worked perfectly! They also suggested that we use the platinum linen on the table where we placed our pictures so that they would be the star rather than a red or brighter color. And the champagne charger fit perfectly pulling in the gold tones of the candle holders. It was a delight to work with all of the staff and all went smoothly. We thought the pricing was reasonable. We highly recommend them!!

I want to express my deep disappointment with the management at La Fontaine. We have used this…read moreballroom for multiple events over the years, including my own wedding, but this recent experience was by far the worst. Our niece's 15th party on 7/12 had several issues starting with the setup. Two main decor features listed in the contract were not installed. When we raised this with the manager on duty, Mr. Sergio , we were told these features were missing and too late to be set up. The decor manager should have proactively informed us about the shortfall and arranged a credit for the missing items, but no communication was made. The decor manager did not hold any accountability that she list some decor in the ballroom. The maintenance of the ballroom also showed a significant decline. Four industrial portable AC units were in use--was this communicated beforehand? Was the main AC not functioning? If so, should we receive compensation for this? Additionally, many ceiling tiles had visible water stains hidden behind fabric. Why weren't these replaced? It feels like an attempt to hide the damage. The gold glass tables inside were dirty and not cleaned before the event as well. Customer service at the bar was equally disappointing. The bartender, Patricia, displayed a poor attitude, was slow, and lacked the energy expected in her role. My father-in-law even had to step behind the bar to help because of her slow service, which offended her. She also cut people off arbitrarily, handling the situation poorly and causing discomfort for many guests. A bartender should be upbeat, efficient, and courteous, none of which were evident. On a positive note, the manager Sergio was great trying to resolve these issues, though the decor manager did not support him well and clearly needs retraining on client communication and decor management. Overall, this experience was hugely disappointing, especially given the high price and reputation La Fontaine portrays was not refilled and run down. I hope my feedback is taken seriously to improve the quality of service in the future.

The process was easy and the set up was quick. The quality and the cleanliness of the rental was excellent. My kids enjoyed their time with the bounce house and when it came time to break the rental down, the process was quick and professional. The owner was mindful of my property and maneuvered through my yard with care when setting up and breaking down the rental. I will absolutely utilize this company in the future for birthday parties, pool parties etc.
