When Cheron called me at 9:10 I immediately apologized and even offered twice to reschedule if that was easier. Instead she just asked for my ETA in an irritated tone and said she'd see me soon. From the minute I got there the whole appointment felt tense. I asked for a simple trim, some face framing pieces, and something low maintenance since I don't spend a lot of time styling my hair. It didn't feel like a difficult request but I felt like my preferences were an inconvenience. Even the shampoo was so rough it was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. The haircut itself turned out nice but what really shocked me was the finish. I paid $150 and expected at least a basic styling. Instead, my hair was blow dried with her fingers... no round brush, no comb, no straightener, no curls. Nothing. I genuinely couldn't believe that was the finished result. I'm happy I ended up with a decent haircut but the overall experience felt uncomfortable from start to finish and nowhere near the level of service I expected.

I explained to Erica that as per the condition of my release I had to get 2 negative tests in a matter of 1 week but I was still thrown out of the salon. It is note worthy to mention that neither the young lady herself nor Erica did offer proof that both were recently tested and were negative. I was the only person who knew their Covid status as I had gotten testers that very same day oddly enough. She did a good job on the touch up relaxer, no complaints. Before doing my hair she said she would be able to lift unwanted color that sometimes happen from coloring and gives the hair a weird tint. After washing and applying the supposed necessary solution, it did not take. She wanted me to again sit under the bowl (very uncomfortable) and repeat the process. I mentioned I was literally freezing in the bowl area and made her aware of the extreme coldness with with wet hair. She said "she should adjust the temperature" but that did not happen. Ultimately, I am now doing my best to stave off a cold and looks like I may lose the battle. ""No hint of any illness in any way prior to getting my hair done. The following day I experienced chills and a sore throat. Bottom line, it is always better to under promise and over deliver than to under deliver and overpromise.
