Good Energy + Good Hair = A Win! ‍ I recently visited Drybar at Vinings Jubilee for a little hair refresh. The location is convenient, and there's plenty of parking right out front, which is always a plus! You can book your appointment online, but since I was already in the area, I decided to walk in and schedule my service. The lady who booked my appointment was very nice and was able to get me in about an hour later. Now, while I was waiting and watching some of the other stylists, I noticed there weren't many smiles, nods, or even a little acknowledgment. I quietly prayed neither of those ladies would be my stylist. When someone is about to have their hands in my hair, I need GOOD ENERGY! While I waited, I was offered a glass of champagne. Nice touch! Then came Esperanza! She greeted me with a bubbly personality, a beautiful smile, and great energy from the start. YES! That's exactly what I needed. When someone is dealing with your hair, you definitely don't want any negative energy transferring over. I really enjoyed my service. Esperanza shampooed and conditioned my hair, gave me a good blow-dry, and finished everything off with some pretty loose curls. ‍ I walked out very satisfied with my hair. The salon also has TVs playing movies, along with information about current promotions and services. They offer memberships and service packages if you're looking to make Drybar part of your regular hair routine. Before I left, Esperanza gave me her schedule, and THAT sealed the deal. Usually good blowouts. I recommend the barfly membership since the prices have gone up so much. Today the stylist didn't show up and the front desk person didn't start calling backup stylists until I was waiting for 15 minutes. I had to leave to go to work so my recommendation would be allow yourself enough time. They didn't even offer a free blowout, but if I had missed the appointment, I would've had to pay for the blowout. Overall Drybar is usually consistent and this is the first time I've had a stylist not show up for my appointment. read more

Good afternoon. I want to share feedback from my visit today. I get the same blowout every time I come. Today I walked out with tangles in the back and my roots curly. I did not have the patience to explain to the young lady the same thing over and over. I asked for no part and she made a part. I asked for round brush curls and my hair was not curled on the ends. And when I pointed out the areas that were not blown out she rushed to blow dry the section in the back while also pulling the hair from the front. When you sit in someone's chair to do your hair the vibe must be right and today it was not. Very disappointed to the point where I left no gratuity which I never do. I will have to go home and redo my hair which is quite unfortunate but I did not want to make a scene in the store today. read more

The worst Drybar. I would not depend on them. I was charged a cancellation fee even though I was booked at this Drybar. Now I am headed to my son's rehearsal dinner with my hair a mess. I really wanted to love the Drybar. I had just gotten off a flight and didn't want to do my own hair since I was heading to see my boyfriend. I thought it would be nice to let someone else handle it and give me that super cute look. I didn't quite get what I asked for as far as the curls, but when I left the salon my hair did look super cute. The problem was that by the time I drove three hours to see him, my curls had completely fallen flat. I drove in AC mind you. That was disappointing because my curls usually last, and even my heatless curls the next day held up better. For the amount of heat and styling used, I expected longer-lasting results. The actual experience was nice...being able to just sit and not worry about styling after traveling was a big plus. Since I'm in Atlanta at least once a month, I liked the idea of not having to pack my own tools and having a go-to place to get my hair done. Unfortunately, it just didn't work the way I hoped, which makes me hesitant to go back. It also felt rushed toward the end because the salon was getting busier, and I noticed people waiting were starting to get irritated with how long it was taking. From the moment I walked in, the front desk bartender Hailey was really helpful. She got me my champagne immediately! My stylist Bria called me immediately and we went to the shampoo room and she washed my hair twice! She used this nice deep conditioning treatment on my hair as well and then she went straight in and blow dried it and added curls, just the way that I like! Walked in the door right at the 15 minute late policy as I had gotten stuck in traffic from multiple school drop offs. They charged me the no show and said they couldn't service me even though I had walked in the door right at 15 minutes. Mind you I have shoulder length thin hair and just wanted a basic blow dry with no hot tool styling that could have been done in the 30 remaining minutes if the stylists actually wanted to get off their butts and come out from the break room. I have also had my appointments start 15 minutes late and sometimes even as late as 30 minutes after my appointment time at this location resulting in being late to work multiple times. Very frustrating that they don't feel the need to start on time but make sure a customer is charged if they aren't on time. They also refused to refund the no show fee read more

I was so excited to hear Drybar was coming to Vinings and my first visit did not disappoint! Booking my appointment was a breeze, I booked through the Drybar app. Upon arrival, I checked in and was offered a beverage. I only waited 2-3 minutes before my stylist, Eliz, came over and introduced herself. We brainstormed what I wanted as I had a formal event that evening and was undecided. She talked with me about the style of my dress and we landed on the Manhattan hairstyle. My hair turned out AMAZING and Eliz had great attention to detail- always noting what products she was using and checking in throughout the styling process to make sure everything was to my liking. My hair turned out PERFECT and is still looking great a day later! I spent just under an hour in the studio- from check in to check out. The space was modern, extremely clean and had great vibes. The staff was SO pleasant. There was popular music playing at a reasonable volume to still hold a conversation and a movie playing on the TV in front of me. The product cabinet was well stocked and the displays were presented beautifully. I am so excited to go to Drybar more often now that this location is so close to me. It was so nice having an hour of relaxation and time to myself. If you're on the fence it's definitely worth a try! read more

Extremely poor customer service! Every single time I come to this location, they are running behind on appointments for whatever reason. This appointment, I arrived in the parking lot 20 minutes early but did not go inside until 5 minutes before my daughter's 5:30pm appointment. Her appointment did not start on time, it started at 5:40pm but it's the end of the day so I was not bothered. (Last visit they started her appointment 50 minutes late, and only took $5 off the total bill. INSULTING!) I looked up a few times when I noticed the salon felt empty and was silent, to see no one was on the floor at all besides my daughter. I am unsure if the front desk receptionist and 2 hair stylists went to the back for breaks or what (one break at 6:09pm). There was a small group of 3 women who came in at 6:22pm meaning they were late for their 6pm appointments. Those women left, and it's now 2 employees at the front desk calling someone else discussing how they charged the wrong Jennifer a $50 no-show or broken appointment fee and the wrong credit cards being on file for both Jennifer's. My daughter's hair was finished approximately 6:38pm based on the timestamp of photos in my phone. At checkout, the girl tells me my total is $80. I asked why? She said a $30 extra time/over appointment time add-on. EXCUSE ME? The girl said they are allotted only 45 minutes for appointments, and after that, it's $30 extra. For a 7 year old?! It feels as though since they lost out on 2 or 3 appointments with that group of 3 who came in late that they were trying to nickel and dime me instead. I asked where was this communicated? If that's the case, the appointments should start on time and employees should not be disappearing, especially without communication. Then another woman who was still on the phone discussing charging the wrong Jennifer's credit card the $50 no-show fee said "just make the adjustment, but document that she now knows about the charge!" This entire experience was totally, extremely subpar service! I have frequented Drybar Midtown and Drybar Buckhead for years, both myself and my daughter, and I have never had appointments start late until coming to this location! But to all of a sudden be charged for a policy that was not communicated during booking my appointment, my last appointment in March nor my daughter's last appointment in February, is absurd! This 45-minute time allotment this location has created seems to be a way to discriminate against or upcharge those with type 4b and 4c hair, because who can wash, condition, blow dry, straighten and style 4b/c hair in 45 minutes flat? Drybar doesn't even trim ends or cut hair as well. Too many mistakes, lack of proper communication, and poor practice. And since they're charging the wrong peoples' cards, sounds like there's a financial security issue with credit/debit card numbers being compromised as well and I should replace all of my cards on file as a precaution. Take only $5 off when they're almost an hour late to start an appointment, but want to tack on an additional $30 for appointments that run longer than 45 minutes? Shady business practices! read more

This location has amazing staff and I always walk out with a killer blowout! My last blowout was with Bria, who is incredible. I've been to a lot of DryBar locations but I've made this spot my go-to for special occasions or a "just because" blowout. I never, ever leave disappointed. read more

I have been to Dry Bars all over the country. This is by far the Bedt one ever. Beautiful facility that makes you feel as if at a spa. Employees were so nice. My daughter was so excited to go to Dry Bar in Vinings to have her hair done for Senior Prom. When she left the house, her hair appeared dry, but when she arrived (early) to her appointment, the receptionist said she couldn't be seen due to wet hair. About 30 seconds of hair drying time for a girl who was there for the first time for prom would have fixed whatever dampness was left in her hair, and she would have left a very happy and grateful customer. Instead, I drove to the Dry Bar with a hair dryer and my daughter dried her hair outside of the store front for approximately 1 minute to make sure it was completely dry because the woman wouldn't let her dry inside. By 2:02, TWO minutes past her appointment time, she walked back in the salon with dry hair. The woman at the counter still refused to see her because she said it would mess up 10 other appointments after. I asked why my daughter couldn't have the remaining 28 minutes of her appointment time. Finally, she agreed to do her hair, but wouldn't let her pick the style. 12 minutes later, at 2:14, she pushed her out the door with less than satisfactory hair. Talk about a bad and lazy attitude. We will NEVER go back. Save your money and go somewhere else. It's not worth messing things up for a special event. read more
