I have been with Ivy for over 13 years. I have taken hard "boot camp" classes and very easy stretching classes. The studio heating system maintains the heat in the 100s so you do sweat!!! I have scheduled assisted stretching and personal training sessions with her at her studio. I do not think there is any area concerning physical fitness that she cannot handle for her clients. She has filtered ice and water station. She is thoughtful but firm and wants you to do a proper workout with safety always on display. Quick story: Recently, I was very busy and missed a few weeks of her classes ( I try to attend 3-4 times per week) . I got a text "WHERE ARE YOU?" from her. I am prejudice and we have been friends for years, I know that she meant "you better be dead"... So I booked the next class. I had never taken a yoga class before, and had only played sports and weight lifted my entire life. That being said I was slightly intimidated to try yoga. I went to ivy because I bought 5 classes on Groupon for a great deal, and it was 100% worth every penny and then some. Not only did the intimidation I felt prior to going to her class melted away but the energy from ivy and the members are wonderful. Each person I encountered who attended the classes were very friendly and comforting. Ivy offers different levels of hot yoga, and each level is extremely challenging even for those who deem themselves fit. I went to one of Ivy's yoga events last summer, and I've been obsessed ever since. I go for hot yoga and Thai massage and she is the best at both. Hands down the best massage I've ever gotten. I've been taking classes from Ivy for almost 10 years and she just keeps getting better. It is the best. She offers creative classes of ALL kinds and is more of your anti-yoga yogi if you will. No granola or chakra aligning per se but you are encouraged to express yourself and have a badass time doing it with LOTS of sweat and cursing and the best music. I checked out Ivy's classes on a whim as a part of my recovery for all the fitness and martial arts training I do. It's been unlike anything I've ever tried before.
