Our…read moreoriginal wedding was supposed to be a year earlier, but we had to postpone (twice!) due to COVID, and Bob and Lisa were the kindest, most accommodating hosts ever! We actually ended up staying at the ranch for a mini-vacation in August 2020 and had a great time, and then we had a 115-person wedding in May, and it was so perfect! We originally booked the venue back in March of 2019 after visiting and falling in love with the gorgeous and unique house, INCREDIBLE view, and the owners' enthusiasm and responsiveness. After communicating with a few venues, we were so impressed at how helpful Lisa and Bob were, and they were more than happy to answer any question we had (and responded to emails at the drop of a hat, even after we booked!). What was also great about the venue is that so many things are included, and you aren't stuck making decisions about what type of plates to have, etc -- they have done so many weddings that they know what will work, and you can feel confident that everything will turn out awesome. We even went into the prop room and picked out a few things to put out (they have everything you could imagine), but the staff took it to the next level on the actual wedding day, and everything looked so beautiful. In addition, they work with great vendors -- in particular, everyone was raving about Buckboard catering, who we also used for our rehearsal dinner. Their coordinator, Jen, is so fantastic and organized! Once we had our initial call, she maintained constant communication and made sure everything went off without a hitch. She even had lots of helpful tips for where to set things up and helped our day run very smoothly. I definitely recommend staying in the house for a few days if you choose CNR as your wedding venue -- it's such a fun place to stay! We stayed for four nights, and our families had a blast bonding together, and it's also fun to feed the animals and swim in the pool! There's so much to do at the ranch (and it also makes for a special experience for wedding guests -- we had lots of people commenting on how much fun it was to get off the shuttle and feed carrots to all the animals!). Thanks to Lisa and Bob for the most special day ever! We are so happy to have chosen CNR as our venue!!

We loved this place because it was so BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN every time we came to visit, and they allowed for a larger guest count. From the manicured lawns to the pavilion, these guys keep it looking sharp all the time. Honestly, I was a little nervous in the weeks leading up to the wedding because I wasn't sure just how much the coordinator & the Morgan Estate team would help with set-up. Now, we had everything pretty well-labeled and in boxes, but I just didn't know how much they would do. We were prepared to have to do some set up ourselves. (The one thing I will say that added to this nervousness was some lacking communication, particularly when we went to do our walk-through a couple months before the wedding day and our appointment was not on their calendar--or rather, it was put down at a different time.They definitely redeemed themselves from this though!) Tiffany, our main contact & their principal coordinator, let us know ahead of time that she wouldn't be present the day of the wedding, but to rest assured, because she had 2 other coordinators that would take care of the day. And let me tell you, they (Crystal & Jordan) were AMAZING! Like I said, I had the bridal party ready to help set up if needed, but the help we had to do was minimal. Jordan and her team set the tables up so beautifully, and I just sent her a picture of what we wanted. Crystal was on top of everything and would come to me periodically to let me know how everything was going (ceremony set-up wise) and I let her know of any changes, etc. She basically kept assuring me that things were done & would be great--and they were! And they were all so so nice and respectful! Planning a wedding is STRESSFUL, but I'm grateful fo these wonderful people who helped so much the day of. All our guests kept commenting on how beautiful the place & the view were! I'm so glad my sister & brother-in-law chose this place as their wedding venue.

He was unbelievably rude and was rushing people out. Picked up three full glasses of wine sitting right in front of us! I told him we were still drinking our wine and he got aggravated. Then it came time for people calling Ubers, we were told he would not give the staff on the golf carts the WiFi so we could call Ubers. There is zero reception at the venue and no communication regarding the WiFi to call for rides and car service. A few of us had to stop him to get it and were finally able to call a car. No reflection on the bartenders and staff, they were all lovely. Just a rude owner and directing the clean up start way before the wedding was slated to end. Otherwise, would have been a five star review.

Oh, and by the way, the previous owner MURDERED someone on this property. LONG VERSION: Booked Wilson Creek Manor directly through Avantstay's website but the day before check-in I got an email saying they had to cancel my reservation because of a broken water heater. Why wouldn't you CALL instead of just emailing? My reservation was less than 2 days away, call and leave a voicemail. I called Avantstay immediately after I saw the email and the call gets routed to some overseas call center. The person can't help and says they'll reach out to the dept that handles this and I should hear back within the hour. 1.5 hours later I still haven't received a callback so I call again. Same response, said I should hear back in an hour. 1.5 hours later, still no call, I call again, now they say I should receive a call by 5pm (5.5 hours later). My check-in date is the NEXT DAY! 5pm might be too late because what if they don't call me back and everyone goes home for the day? Then they change their answer to someone will call back in an hour. But I've heard that one before. FINALLY someone who can help calls back and finds me a replacement property. After we hangup I discover a hiccup. One of the families staying with us was planning to bring their dog they noticed that the new property doesn't allow pets. We paid a pet deposit so this is something that Avantstay should've caught and pointed out. That family had to find a last minute accommodation for their dog so that was another added inconvenience. Another hiccup: I was told I'd receive check-in instructions the next morning. On the way to the property my wife asks for the details of how to get inside the property so she could send it to the other families. Realized I didn't receive those details. Had to call Avantstay once again. Another inconvenience. This is all BEFORE we even stepped foot onto the property. While on the property we discovered someone was MURDERED in that house. This spooked everyone and no one was able to sleep well. There was plenty of space for 150 people, and it felt like the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner were all slightly separated despite being in the same spot. We appreciated the convenience of staying in the same location while also having the experience of moving guests around. - The Stone House is not accessible by foot or private vehicle. It was incredibly private, and we were able to control when guests arrived. No one was able to get there super early, which helped with the schedule. The shuttling was also very easy. - We loved creating our signature cocktails with the mixologist Eric. He's super knowledgeable and it was so much fun. We came up with 3 perfect cocktails. - The food was great, and I never like wedding food. It was hot! The tasting was also really fun, we liked meeting vendors and the other couples getting married there. - The Creekside House was a huge plus. We used it to get ready. I had 9 bridesmaids, 2 groomswomen and 3 mothers all getting ready there. It never felt crowded. We also did our Sunday farewell brunch there. There was plenty of parking and lots of space inside and outside. We had music on while we got ready and a football game Sunday. We also had a couple bridesmaids and a few guests stay there, which was great. - I loved Devon. She was super friendly, really great at explaining all sorts of information when I first viewed the venue, and overall very helpful. We had a small hiccup with a suite for the getting ready space. She called me, we talked it out and she came up with the idea for the Creekside House, which was better than the suite anyway. - Every in-person interaction I had with any staff member was always positive. Checking in was easy and we were able to get into the house early. Everyone was always kind and attentive. - The property is beautiful and we used a lot of it. We did our rehearsal on the oasis lawn, which was a good size. We did our welcome reception on the patio beneath the Corkfire grill (including glow ball which was so fun), took photos at the Meadows and a few guests golfed. It was great as an all-in-one venue. - Our bridal suite was beautiful, we really loved it. There was a bottle of champagne, a cookie and a cute little note when we arrived. They gifted us a very soft blanket. Some Challenges: - There was a lot of nickel and diming. We needed an extra microphone for our ceremony vocalist. That was an additional charge ($130). We needed an extra cord, that was a charge. etc. I get that those things are usually rented for a fee. We paid around $50,000. You'd think they could just let us use the mic. - I don't feel like the amount everything would cost was accurately explained prior to us signing. Maybe that's on me and my understanding, which is why I didn't choose 4 stars. My advice would just be to really try to get clarity about what it's all going to cost. - It was pretty cold that night. To be clear, this is not the venue's fault, just something to consider. The ground also gets very slick and would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, we are so happy we got married at TCI. We can't wait to visit in the future and remember our beautiful wedding.
