The venue is gorgeous and great for photos, outdoor wedding venue but they can move it in doors if it rains. I got married at Galway Downs last year. Looking back at the pictures reminds me of how much fun we had and how the staff made everything possible. Our wedding coordinator, Austin, was amazing--I couldn't have asked for more. It brought me to tears thinking about how sweet, kind, and patient he was, and I'm so thankful for him. When I was frustrated on my wedding day, he said things that calmed me down. Our DJ, also named Austin (I got confused too, lol), went above and beyond. He was not just our DJ, but also our videographer and even acted as a bouncer (hehe, lol). The sweetest thing he did was make sure we got to eat, which I loved. He knew we'd need the energy for the long night ahead. I also loved the small video clip he made for us. The bridal suite is huge. You can even shower and have your entire bridal party get ready there. They also provide beverages if you decide to get ready in the bridal suite. As for the groom's suite, it's not as big as the bridal suite, but there are table games and drinks, so you can start the party early--haha! The venue was stunningly beautiful, and there was plenty of parking, so that wasn't an issue. The food was great, so much so that our guests were asking for seconds. read more

Our Wedding at Galway Downs Was Absolutely Perfect We had our wedding at Galway Downs by Wedgewood Weddings this past weeked and from start to finish the experience was nothing short of amazing. Every single part of the process, from planning to the big day, was handled with such care, professionalism, and attention to detail that it made what could have been a stressful process completely seamless. Communication: The staff at Galway Downs were incredibly responsive, organized, and supportive. Any question or concern we had was answered quickly, and they made us feel like our wedding truly mattered to them. The Venue: Absolutely stunning. Our guests were blown away by how beautiful and well-maintained everything was, from the ceremony site to the reception area. It felt elegant but comfortable, the perfect mix for our day. Food and Service: The food was fantastic. We received so many compliments from guests about how delicious everything was, which is rare for a wedding. The service staff were attentive and kind all night. Our Coordinator: We need to give a huge shout-out to Ramey, our day-of coordinator. She was hands down the best in existence. Calm, organized, and an absolute pro at what she does. She made sure every little detail ran perfectly and truly allowed us to relax and enjoy the moment. She deserves a raise, seriously. The Only Downside: The only area we felt could use improvement was the DJ. Provided he was a contracted vendor through JC Entertainment. While they are not directly part of Galway Downs, it is worth mentioning for couples considering them. The music selection and transitions could have been smoother as well as some other minor details. Maybe I am just picky because I work in the nightlife industry, but overall, guests still danced, and the party vibe was great. Absolutely a beautiful venue! If you are looking for a "ranch chic" style with horses, this is your venue. A lot of outdoor nature and the reception hall was nice as well since it had a lot of windows. The bridal sweet and grooms suit was nice as well. The adorable touch to the venue was that bride and the father of the bride came on a carriage, such a great idea! I just had my wedding yesterday and Makenna, michael and Gianna that were FANTASTIC in every way. They were attentive to my every need and were there for EVERYTHING. This place is not absolutely perfect to have a wedding. My daughter got married there yesterday, about 100 guest. The bathrooms need attention. They supposedly flush by themselves but the odor I could not believe. It smelled so bad the doors where always kept shut and I could see why. I've never smelled anything so foul. Seriously , this is a weddings with everyone in there best attire and to go to the restroom there was unbelievable. In addition , the walk from the bridal suit to the reception hall needs attention. There is no lighting to and from there . There is not a direct path. There are slabs of stone on the ground but not cemented close. It is definitely a high risk for a fall. In fact, several of us slid and tripped despite being careful. A lot of dirt. These two things I would seriously address with the bathroom being number one. read more

My wife and I had our wedding with Wedgewood at Galways Downs and can't and won't shut up about our experience. The planning process was extremely productive with each meeting. The planning binder that they provide is very clear and concise. They provide so many different vendors and give you the opportunity to use their or choose your own. Our day of coordinator, Ireland, was truly fantastic. She checked up on us from the time we stepped foot onto the property. She checked up on us so often that I couldn't even be stressed about anything and if we needed something right away, it was resolved in a matter of minutes after a quick text. After her duties were done, she introduced us to DJ the banquet coordinator and he made sure our plates were full and our drinks were filled at all times. The food was fantastic. Wedding food never stood out until our wedding. Our appetizers and dinner were great. We highly recommend the mini shrimp tostadas, mini crab cakes, mac and cheese balls, and dumplings. For dinner, the Parmesan crusted chicken, salmon with tarragon sauce, and prime rib is the best trip you can get. All I can say is Galway downs is truly the BEST Venue! From the time we went to tour the venue (March 12, 2023) to the meetings in between and all the way to the day of. We had our wedding here in October 2023 and I am beyond thankful this was the venue we chose! From the moment we toured we knew right away this was our place. We were lucky enough to have Mazie graciously be our tour guide and introduce Galway Downs to us on Day 1, as well as be there for us through our wedding planning appointments, and especially on the day of our wedding. I cannot rave about the customer service here enough! Everyone's generosity and hospitality throughout the (almost) 2 years of planning made the process SO much easier. Our wedding day was made to be a dream and I have to give tremendous kudos to our wedding coordinator Mazie, our DJ Austin, and banquet captain Victoria. If I haven't said it enough, Mazie helped me out marvelously on the day of our wedding. Whether she was running back and forth because I couldn't decide if I was wearing my heels or flats, or she was helping bustle my gown before the reception - she was there. Our DJ/MC Austin was incredible and we received SO many compliments for his services! We had a band perform for the first hour of the reception and Austin had the fantastic idea of locating the band from the corner, to the center of the garage opening right in front of our giant letters we rented. It not only looked incredible, but the band was able to be right in front of the guests getting to see their faces and dance moves up close! My husband hasn't stopped talking about how great of an idea it was to move them and is so thankful for Austin's idea. Lastly (and certainly not least), our banquet captain Victoria was so sweet and caring the entire night - I truly felt cared for and appreciated her kindness and generosity so much! We had the BEST experience with Galway!! We are so happy we had our wedding there. The venue is absolutely gorgeous-- the ceremony site has beautiful eucalyptus trees, ponds, and birds/butterflies all around. The carriage house was so beautiful with the glass garage doors, tall ceilings and warm lighting. Our guests loved the food (buffet) and we had a great experience working with all of their preferred vendors (DJ, floral, cake). One of the best parts of the experience was how communicative Galway's staff were during months of planning. So the day of event it was raining, no signage no direction to get to event. We walked in the mud. When guest got to venue they had nothing in place for guest to get into the seats for the wedding. They were scrambling around to accommodate due to weather. They were still setting up 15 minutes prior to the start of the wedding. Wedding coordinator was no help to anyone. No one knew where they were going or what they were doing. Fortunately, the DJ actually knew what he was doing and I was giving somewhat of direction about five minutes to the start of the wedding. Food was OK. The bartenders were fabulous. All in all I was really not impressed with the Wedgewood logo or wedding venue. I however, was still a bit torn up that I didn't get any sunny outdoor wedding ceremony photos. A perfect wedding day at the most beautiful SoCal oasis. The venue, the vendors, the staff, and the MAGIC at Wedgewood Weddings/Galway Downs is truly unmatched. The highest compliment was our guests and friends and family making remarks such as "that was one of the best weddings of my life, it was so so beautiful, everything went smoothly and seamlessly, the food was excellent, etc." We had actually originally booked for another new Wedgewood location (Danza Del Sol) as one of the first weddings to be had there, but construction was unfortunately stalled beyond the initial estimate. Wedgewood went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate us, and helped us secure Galway Downs on our initial chosen wedding date (their property was still unbooked and available). We are so beyond grateful for the team and were overjoyed to end up here. The universe works in mysterious ways and our day truly went off without a hitch--Maise and Amanda our day of coordinators killed it. We are so happy, and can't wait to recommend Wedgewood to our future friends and family in the wedding planning market. First off, Aubree J, you my love are quite literally an angel in earth, I am so glad I threatened to not get married at Galway unless you were our coordinator, you're just that amazing, I felt like I knew you forever. You made our entire experience nothing less than perfect. From me begging for you to be our coordinator and agreeing even on your time off when you should have been with you're family, to you pulling every messy detail together even through my chaotic adhd planning brain, to you literally putting together an entire bridesmaids bouquet in .5 seconds and letting me come down and help decorate to ease my nerves and just hangout with you was so special to me I will never ever forget you and how truly incredible of a human being you are. You being there made my stress no existent. You radiate pure positivity, eager to made everything special, personable, and also filled with love and kindness without judgement. Aubree was our coordinator who started It all and made us fall in love with our venue; the sweetest person, who genuinely loves her job and making dreams come true. We got Jess as our coordinator on the day of and she was absolutely perfect. Now if we're being honest, My one complaint and advice for future brides is to use your own florist. There's 2 to choose from in your package and we got HCD. We had emails back and forth on bouquets and overall flowers. Keep in mind only the centerpieces are included in the package. All else is extra and we were getting quite a bit extra. (Bouquet, arch flowers, mothers flowers, groom, flower girl, ring bearer) We were not on the same page at all over emails. Not vibing. I offered to go into her shop to get a better idea overall and pick my own designs but she insisted on a zoom meeting. She was basically, in my opinion rude. But I called Galway to see if I could use the other vendor and they insisted they would straighten everything out. We stuck it out and I repeatedly told her I didn't like the centerpieces and I wanted everything to match cohesively!!!! When the day came she brought me the flowers for the mothers which were DEAD. Small white flowers which people commented on saying they looked dead. The centerpieces were the exact ones I said I didn't like. Which didn't match. Mind you I spent an addiction $1500 on flowers. And some of the flowers on my bouquet were wilted. I did not make a big deal of it on my wedding day but did mention it to my husband and family. I wrote about it on my follow up with Wedgewood but never got a response. My only advice is use your own vendors. It's way worth it. So disappointing Since they are contracted and get paid on the centerpieces and decided to use the cheapest flowers. I've seen many ig posts since using the same as ours. A guest at the wedding works with a florist and was shocked and commented on the centerpieces not matching. Incredibly embarrassing when you spent so much money and the florist makes you day seem cheap. read more

AMAZING!!!! highly recommend anyone getting married to check out Galway downs! They were so helpful along the way of planning our wedding. Any questions or concerns we had they helped us immediately. Austin was our day of coordinator and he was amazing! Any and everything we needed he took care of. He was always making sure we were good and if he could do anything for us! We love Austin! AHH, I literally don't even know where to start!!!!! First of all, Thank you SO much to the entire staff at Galway Downs. ASHLEY, AUBREE, AUSTIN, DEVIN, IRELAND, & JESS! You are all WONDERFUL! We cannot speak highly enough of Galway Downs by Wedgewood Weddings! From the moment we set foot on the property, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. It was the third venue we toured, and we booked it within 10 minutes of seeing it. The contagious energy and enthusiasm of Austin, who guided us through the tour, truly sold us that day. Austin, you are such a light. We were lucky enough to have Austin as our Day of Coordinator. He went ABOVE & BEYOND. Running around back and forth between Cody & I ( My now HUSBAND! ) Making sure we were taken care of, calm, and checking in on us with updates and photos as the venue was being set up. Ashley, you are simply a beautiful soul. THANK YOU for keeping me calm as I patiently waited to meet my Groom at the alter. You made me laugh, helped me with my Wedding Dress and even gave me mints so I was ready for my first kiss lol! The venue at Galway is incredibly beautiful, with stunning landscapes and meticulously maintained grounds that brought our wedding dreams to life. Every corner of the property exudes charm and elegance, creating a breathtaking backdrop for our special day. The food is FANTASTIC! Our guests can't stop raving about it! (Highly suggest the Herb Roasted Potatoes for a side dish) Our DJ Austin Murray (who was one of the recommended Venders at Galway) went above and beyond for us. He is so much fun and the kindest soul. He helped Cody & I from DAY 1. He even got on the phone with me 2 days before the wedding to change our first dance song and cut it as well. He is so so accommodating and easy to talk to. Our Ceremony was the ceremony of our Dreams. I couldn't imagine a more perfect and beautiful day. So excited to see our photos and videos! Since day one, the entire team at Galway Downs has been nothing short of amazing. Everyone has been so accommodating and responsive, ensuring that no question went unanswered. Their attention to detail and commitment to making our day perfect was evident in every interaction we had. The overwhelming positivity and support we received made the entire planning process a joy. 4.5 stars I want to be transparent in my review and will list all the price and cons of this venue. Pros: absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. So much space with high ceilings. I like that it can still be considered an "outdoor" venue because of the way the doors can stay open. The bridal suite is so spacious and gorgeous, perfect for photos. So much space to walk around, plenty of parking. I love the all inclusive option because it made things so much easier to plan. Cons: During Covid, the communication was lacking quite a little bit. We had to be the ones to constantly reach out to the staff when it should be the other way around. It was starting to feel like a burden asking them for updates. The energy felt different compared to when we were first booking them. We get it, COVID has hit the wedding industry hard but to ask for an official statement or update email isn't too much to ask for when you are shelling out thousands of dollars. It is important to note that we weren't allowed to postpone our wedding early in the year (2020) because they only gave priority to weddings that were occurring a couple months later. So by the time fall and winter time hit, there were no dates available in 2021 to postpone to. My father in law passed away in the fall but with the "options" Wedgewood gave, we had no choice but to keep our December date. read more

My husband and I had our wedding here last Friday on Jan 26 and I have no words to describe how magical and amazing it was . Not just the venue but our wedding planners to name a few who helped us were Amanda , Austin , Aubree and Ashley and the manager whose name I forgot (ooops) . From signing with them to the day of they made our wedding journey so much easier and less stressful. They were so helpful and communicative and more . If I could do it all over I would will choose this place . The day of Amanda was so helpful and sweet and wonderful as well as our banquet captain Tori . We felt the love and the passion they put into their work . Even if I'm poor no because of pricing I don't regret one thing . You get your moneys worth and more ! They truely are an amazing venue and staff and I'm sad to part way lol but will forever recommend them . read more

In reviewing many of the positive and negative posts I agree with many things Food was great, however it would be nice to make sure guests knew about the carving station first. Not sure how they could rearrange that but other than that it was good. The venue is nice, beautiful inside and out. Maybe only suggest they have better paths for those staying on site. Now service. I am not sure I could say I felt as though the service was good. I have been in the services industry and never saw anyone walking around to help pour wine. They only came by after the meal service and took all the wine. They could have let people know somehow that the wine was only during the meal. The cash bar was ridiculously overpriced, full drinks were picked up and tossed during the event and the staff was rude when we asked why. Read your contract. I was with the bride when we looked at the venue and were told wine was included as part of the price. We were not informed that it was only during the meal. A little shady if you ask me. In general I felt as though they could have communicated better so that people were aware that wine was only part of the meal so that the guests weren't wondering why they just snatched the wine away from everyone. Also, they took away way too many of guests full drinks. Their excuse was that they can't leave a drink sitting for longer than 5 minutes since there were children. I have never heard of this from any event I have ever attended. Fine if they take a drink I have paid for - give me a token to get another. The DJ was decent but he never really got the crowd moving. He played the music and not much more interaction. At the end of the day, the couple was happy, but would want to rethink the packages and if you do a cash bar - ask for the prices to be posted somewhere and receipts given to guests.
