I was told this office took walk-ins & could also take an X-Ray. So, I drove over to Culpeper. I got signed in quickly, waited for a bit before being called back but was seen by a very cordial nurse first and then a doctor. X-Ray taken & within 10 min the doctor was back to tell/show me where my foot was broken. While we were talking, the system updated with the Radiologist's report. Our children have been patients at two of the "top-rated" pediatricians as we've moved over the years--and this is the only practice where you're truly treated as a person, not just a number. If you're looking for speed and convenience, you can always go to an assembly-line pediatrician. But if you want a true care team--literally two doctors who will know your children by name, provide thoughtful and individualized treatment, and actually keep you informed--this is the place for you. When I first called, Anastasia let me know they're a smaller practice. So yes, I may wait on hold for a couple minutes while they're helping another patient--but I'll take that any day over the rushed, impersonal care we've experienced elsewhere. At the other offices, they'd order multiple bacterial infection tests based only on symptoms I described over the phone--without even seeing my children. That's not care--that's just billing insurance as quickly as possible. Sky Valley is the complete opposite. Here, they take the time to listen, assess thoughtfully, and treat your family like their own.

She prescribe me an anti depressant, said see how this does, I went asked her for something for anxiety and on the notes from that day, a year ago, says I denied having anxiety, when that was the reason I went in for! So, a year later, taking the same anti depressant she put me on, I start having bad thoughts and so I went in to try to figure out what we can do. I then find out, she had me on a children's dose, for over a year. Never told me to come back so she could keep an eye on me. I went to another apt and told her it made me yawn and tired, she said take it at night then. I had to Google search about this medicine, to find out I should be taking it during the day cause of my insomnia, which she prescribed me trazadone for, so she should've known it wouldn't let me sleep right. I had to find out, I haven't slept right since I been on it, until 2 nights ago, I researched my self about this medication, have had the best sleep in a year, the past 2 nights. So in the apt, talking about the thoughts I've been having and instead of her caring about the child's dose anti depressant I've been on a year, since it would be her fault. She decided to try to take me off a kind of medication I have been taking my whole life and never had a problem. She said she wouldn't give me any more. So I stood up, walked out and said, guess this apt is over, wasted and stole my money again to this careless place. She then called the cops, saying I said I want to hurt people and kill myself. I never said that stuff at all, she twisted all the thoughts I told her about, and lied about alot more, that I have proof of. When I go back and read the notes in my chart, its made up stuff and twisted what I said, to cover her ass I guess. So the cops showed up at my house, embarrassed me in front of, family, friends and neighbors, for no reason. I have gone to this office since I was a kid, my mom works there, I will never give a cent to UVA or commonwealth medical again and hope that this review will help save someone else's headache. If she isn't gonna listen to my thoughts and what's going on, then she shouldn't have a license to prescribe an anti depressant she knows nothing about, I've never had these thoughts or anything, until she just put me on this and said, try this, that's all she said. I didn't know what I was in for with side affects or if I'm supposed to come back and see her or not, she never said a word, I had to research myself, that on this medication, that I should be under close watch with a Dr, I think that's something she should have said from day 1. I've seen her 3 times in a year and not once has she asked if it was doing better or gave a shit if it was or not, all 3 times I seen her, she has tried taking me off the medication I've taken my whole life, that's all she cared about. So all the Dr's know my story cause she told all them, my dad called, wondering what was going on and guess what, she told him as well. None of them are on my list and my rights have been violated. This is the kind of business this is, so beware, there are way better out there, this has been an embarrassing, scary weekend for me and I just have to deal with it, I've contacted HR, wrote a complaint to hippa, gave feedback, they asked for, wrote reviews where ever I can, to try to get heard from this crazy old lady and haven't heard a thing, obviously UVA doesn't care about us either. The Healthcare system is a joke and useless, ever since uva took it over. Every Dr use to know me and was polite and talked to me for years, now a bunch new people in and this old lady and I don't mind the other people not knowing me or talking to me, but this old lady, all 3 Appts, has said, guess this is the first time we met huh? I said, no, it's the 3rd... she doesn't care or take pride in her job at all, I can just imagine, it goes down the line of Dr's, the way this place has been to me, since uva took over. I have a month left of my meds and no clue where I want to go or where I can trust to go, I'll never trust another Dr again, so I guess I'll just let them run out and quit cold turkey, since this ding bat old woman did not do her job in any way or form.
