I found this place on yelp and chose it because it is minority owned. I felt that they would understand my skin better as I have really thick curly hair and prone to ingrowns. My aesthetician was Kat and she was amazing. I went for a full Brazilian wax, underarms and upper lip wax. I used their premium wax which is hypoallergenic and great for sensitive skin. She gave me some great skin tips. I scheduled a vaginal microdermabrasion with her for 4 days after. Let's just say my skin there is looking and feeling beautifully smooth! Jema is the absolutely best. Before I started training to compete in bikini fitness I decided that I wanted to get parts of my body wax and get used to it before show day just in case I show any signs of allergy to the wax. I have never been wax before and took the advice of one of my neighbors and this was one of the best experience ever. First time waxing was not easy and was still painful but Jema made the experience very pleasurable and made me feel very comfortable. It is officially one year since I've been going to iWaxU and never had any bad experience. I have been staying consistent and I always feel smooth right after my appointment without feeling sticky. All of the ladies working there are wonderful and friendly, they have an easy appointment system. They offer gift cards in any amounts and occasionally run specials. I moved here recently and was happy I came across iwaxu! I've actually been twice now and the first time was my first wax since the world shut down. So, while waxing is not usually an overall pleasant experience, having months between waxing is basically like starting over. Luckily I had Ashley! She did an excellent job and told me about the Biker package. Basically covers anywhere you'd wear biker shorts. Brilliant idea and perfect for me. 5 stars are not enough for this business! I have been going to them for about 6 years for all my wax needs and now facials. I have PCOS so I suffer from Hirutism, since I have been going there, my hair growth has lessened, become sparse and thin. I have even started getting Brazilians and facials. I have even talked my husband into getting Brazilians :). They are extremely knowledgeable and are always willing to answer any beauty/spa related questions. Updated review after owners response which was deleted. I never received a follow up call after 24 hours so this is obviously not a standard procedure. Nor did I receive a response to my review til a week after my review so clearly the 72 hour touch up would not be valid. I was also not waxed by Jema so I'm unsure why she would say she offered me a modesty towel. I was waxed by Valerie and a towel was not offered, but the towel wasn't the issue as stated in my previous review. I left my appointment happy that I was done and getting the heck out of there and no longer being put through pain. The issue was the skin not being pulled taut, the strips being pulled multiple times not one swift pull causing extreme pain, the hair still left, and the wax still on my skin sticking to my clothing. Not once was my skin pressed after the pull of a strip. I know she could tell she was causing me a lot of pain as I was jumping off the table. I'm unsure of why a generic response of how you properly wax someone was given but I can assure you this was not the service I received and I'm not interested in giving iwaxu a second chance. read more

The person who booked my appointment on the phone took the time to explain the different bikini waxes available so I could make sure I got the one I wanted. Periodic text reminders are available and came in handy. The location was a bit tricky to find the first time since I'd never been to Salon Lofts before, and my GPS didn't take me to the right building. Salon Lofts is in the same row of buildings as Honeybaked Ham in the Target Plaza. Salon Lofts actually houses a lot of different businesses too, but just wait in the front for the waxer to come get you. Marjorie was really friendly and explained her whole process when I told her I'd never had a bikini wax before. It honestly didn't hurt as bad as I thought, and she regularly asked me if I was doing okay. My Brazilian turned out great, and Marjorie did a great job making sure she got everything out. We just talked the whole time, and she made me feel really comfortable. Would definitely recommend her! She's usually only there on Mondays, though. read more

I ended up not being able to get scheduled for an eyebrow waxing and went to the "Nails on Nails" in the same parking lot.
