My nail tech Mai is the best. She gives you professional, personable, friendly service. The interior just received a renovation and it was excellent, modern and beautiful. They offer pedicure that are magical. The new massage chairs even massage your arms... it relaxes you to a point of taking a nap. When I think of safe care I think of this wonderful place. I don't have anything terrible to say about this place but nothing spectacular either. I thought my pedicure was fine. Very average. The space is seems clean and very typical for a nail salon. What is shocking is the $16 upcharge for gel nails on top of the pedicure fee. Especially when you don't get the basic pedicure. I don't think the upgraded pedicure was worth it anyway. I'm not sure I noticed much time difference or extra attention. I'll think twice before visiting again. read more

I hate to give only 1 star but this place was the worst place I've ever gotten my nails done at! I went in with an appointment for dip powder and the person doing my nails did a terrible job. The dip was uneven, on my cuticles, and super messy. When I spoke up he said he was the manager and they were short staffed and doesn't really do nails... this upset me because I made an appointment. I expressed my concern and he gave me a gift card to return. My nails the first time chipped after 2 days!!! I went back with my gift card to get them done giving them a second chance... my nails lasted 3 days before they started chipping again. Super disappointed and won't be back. read more

That was absolutely RIDICULOUS! I walk in asking for a fill and for my 5 year olds nails to be painted. When there's a 30 MINUTE WAIT YOU TELL THEM THAT! Do not trick someone into sitting there that long. Then to top it off you finish my nails and I ask my daughter if she's ready for hers and you want us to wait AGAIN! The person you wanted me to wait for literally just started which meant ANOTHER 30 MINS! I have never in my entire life seen this happen. That was horrible to deny a small child who had been waiting an HOUR! I would of happily given up my spot if someone would of told me literally anything! Your front desk girl needs to learn how to speak and say if it's going to be a long wait time and ALL OF YOU should of said something when you KNEW there wasn't enough time for both of us. Now we have a crying child who was excited to get her nails done because your multiple people on you staff chose to lie and deceive instead of tell thing truth. The person doing my nails complained the whole time., being very fussy about the positioning of my hand, etc. There was unnecessary roughness and her treatment made me feel uncomfortable. This spa is fantastic! It has been a test to find a great nail salon with good service and quality but this place checks off all the boxes you might be looking for. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the past three visits have been wonderful. Linda does great work and I am always happy with the results. I don't like writing bad reviews, but I HATE how my nails came out. I had a previous dip removed. My real nails were visible underneath and clearly long so I asked for my natural nails to be dipped. She filed them shorter than wanted and clearly cut my middle finger nail way too short. I asked if it broke and she said that's how it was (it was not). Twice I pointed out it was too short and she said that's how it was. My index finger was even longer than what you see in the photo. That was her filing it down twice after I asked again and again. My index finger is a lot thicker than the rest of the nails. Both of my thumbs look uneven and far from the cuticle. Unfortunately, I am going to file them down when I get home. ;( I will not return to this salon. read more

4 stars, although 5+ for Eva & my gorgeous Ombre nails (see pic) & 5+ for Marie & my gel pedicure. Manager Mike (who "does everything," according to his staff) was abrupt & rough around the edges immediately upon my entering the salon, but he later walked over to converse, which was welcomed. He was very pleasant. The two friendly, dedicated, & professional women mentioned above spent from 1 PM until 4:40 PM on my fingers & toes. (I am happy I avoided the busy weekend.) I've never had a salon worker take more time w/ my toes; Marie gave each nail so much attention. And Eva was a pro w/ my Ombre nails; she made the process look easy. Beautiful work! This is a clean salon located beside Dillard's; the entrance is on Paseo Dr. The salon has been here 5 years. The hours are CONVENIENT: seven days a week from 10 AM till 7:30 PM Monday thru Saturday, & Sundays from 11 AM till 6 PM. There are 4 wall TV's-- all were set on the HGTV channel. The massage chairs are comfortable. A blue plastic liner sits in every basin. I really enjoyed the surround sound relaxing instrumental music. Each nail station was fronted w/ plexiglass, & each offered a knee-level built-in fan to dry newly polished fingernails. Avalon offers many services. (See the pic of the 2 sided pricing sheet.) Services include Nail Enhancements (Ombre; Gel; Pink & White; etc.) Dips; & Pedicures & Manicures (including children's). There are multiple Spa Treatments such as Lavender; Green Tea; Peppermint Spice; Orange; Honey; Aloe; Chamomile; & Organic. (Mike requested that I not post the menu pics I took of the spa treatments.) Foot Massages & Waxing services are available. Facials, Eyelash Extensions, & many other services are listed. Staffers wear masks. Guests may choose to wear masks (or not). Hand sanitizer is available. Soft drinks, water, & wine are offered to each patron. This salon will even arrange a party here for your special occasion. Groups of 7+ receive 10% off. Gift certificates are available for purchase. I did not award 5 stars for one reason-- "Add-On" prices. Prices here are higher than the four other salons I've visited -- perhaps to cover for the mall overhead. The Ombre nails were $67, which was a little high. But my pedicure was MUCH too expensive. This salon has more Add-On services than any salon I've ever visited. For instance, I was charged $29 for a Classic Pedi then an additional $16 for gel. $5 was added for French nails on top of a $15 charge for the floral nail design-- a total of two flowers, no rhinestones. This $65 pedicure is what normally costs me much less elsewhere. Additionally, my floral design was rudimentary-- far less detailed than what I've received at two other salons. $15 was simply too much money for the design & design quality. (See pic.) Will I return? Most likely. Both women did PHENOMENAL work w/ my manicure & pedicure. Will I get gel French nails? No, due to the cost. Will I get a another design? I'm unsure. But if I do, I'll request pricing prior to any work being completed & I'll ask to see pics of previous designs completed by the nail tech. read more

I walked in the nail salon waited a long time with my daughter and sons. We wanted to do pedicures well my daughter was not happy with the color nail polish they use seems cheap and clumpy. She had them repaint it another color but still was disappointed. She was going to do her nails but she was smart not too. My son waited too long and changed his mind in getting pedicures. I had pedi and acrylic fill and color red. The lady did my nails she was horrible on sanding my nails and burning my skin (multiple times and she didn't care after I told her) for rushing. And the results of my nails not neatly painted as you can see in the photo. I told the owner and only took off $3. I didn't think that was responsible because when I go to my usual tech will cost more than $3 to fix it. I was not going to argue I paid over $100 for me and my daughter I just won't go back . Horrible service and experience. It's so disappointing when you spend so much money they do a sloppy job but expect you to pay in full. Smh read more

This was my second time getting dip powder done at Avalon and it has honestly become my new nail spot! I've tried so many other salons in the Tampa/Wesley Chapel area and this one by far is the best. I had the pleasure of having Mike do my nails both times and his work has been consistent and gorgeous. On top of that, he is probably the friendliest nail tech I've ever met. He remembered me and our whole conversation from the first time I stopped by which was a couple months ago. I got the acrylics with gel polish while my mother in law got the high end best pedicure. I will have to say this is our new spot we will be going to! After a long search, I am so glad I chose to try this nail salon! Not only are the prices extremely reasonable, but they do a job well done! This salon is tucked away near Dillard's at Wiregrass Mall. Prices range depending on what service you choose, however mine was $28 for a basic acrylic full set (which is amazing!!). I have returned for a fill and am equally happy with my second visit! I would highly recommend Amy! She is fabulous!!! The inside is nothing too fancy, they don't have fancy machines or anything but their services are high end and very clean! They offer basic or gel manicures/pedicures, waxing, massages, facials, and many other services! I would highly recommend coming here for not only the prices but the quality of work! This was probably top in the 3 of the worst nail salons that I've ever been to, I rarely ever write reviews especially bad one unless I strongly feel that I had a bad experience, the woman that did my nails was horrible, she was very rough and aggressive and I've never felt so uncomfortable. I left feeling so upset, she would aggressively file my nails,push my hand aggressively when moving to the next finger and practically rip at my finger nails when cutting them. The entire process was rushed and slightly painful and my nails looked worse then when I do them my self.I've been to countless salons and I've never had that level of aggression. I seen such good reviews so I wasn't sure why my experience was so bad I wasn't sure if it was a racial thing? I hope not but that's the only reason I could think of given that they have such high reviews:/ read more

This was my first and definitely not my last time going to see them. I've been trying to find a new nail salon and I'm happy to say that Avalon is it. I came in super early in the morning. Got a fill and I dont know the ladies name that did my nail but she knows her stuff. She shaped my nails to perfection. My nails are super smooth and no bumps what's so ever.
