[[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm just disappointed at this point.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was referred to Dr Agha's office by my amazing doctor. After an initial consultation, I found myself scheduled for two procedures (both venograms along with treatments). Billing refused to tell me what they charge or what to expect for these, which was a huge red flag. I couldn't get any information from them at all. Now I'm left with a $2k bill to pay off after insurance. (And I have a top of the line insurance plan with no deductible). The charges were over $30k. Sadly, I haven't felt better since these procedures. My health has taken a negative turn, and I now have other issues, along with phantom pains. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With no follow up appointment with the doctor, and in reaching out, I'm now told I need to go to my "primary care" or they "strongly suggest" I see a cardiologist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The care and attention [[HIGHLIGHT]]existed up until I was finished with the procedures. Then they stopped responding. I left two voicemails in one week and never heard back. Reached out again and finally heard from a nurse. She said she'd call me back after talking to the doctor. It has now b[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]een another week and a half and I haven't heard. I'm just disappointed. It's very frustrating being a person who has been so intentional with my health after having autoimmune issues in the past to now be looking at the hamster wheel of being passed around in the medical field to another specialist. It's a weird place. They have I guess two sections the cosmetic portion that is doing the things like laser skin treatments and the other doing medical procedures for things like cancer treatment. They have the design of the place mimicking a spa like feel. I was there for a medical procedure and it was super uncomfortable being in the place. First off, even though we were at a high risk level at the time per the CDC for COVID and masks should have been worn if it was a medical facility. Absolutely no one there was wearing a mask. And I get that is the overall vibe in Arizona, but a medical facility that has high risk patients coming through seems insane. I'm sure though they would prefer to cater to their rich Scottsdale type cosmetic patients who probably bring in most of the revenue, and want things to be "normal". So people just have to sacrifice to maintain that vibe. The hilarious part is they still asked me the typical COVID risk exposure questions, and all I'm thinking is you do know talking to me without a mask in this enclosed space is literally the highest risk for me being exposed. But other than that, I didn't have any issues with the procedure. I'd return if my referring doctor told me to go back, but would prefer a traditional medical facility if I had the option. read more

This place is IT! Doc Agha, he is one of a kind! Before I get into him, I want to start off by saying his staff is always a pleasure to interact with. I've been there several times and it's always the same kindness . You The first time I met Doc Agha be told me that moving forward I'm a part of the family and he will always be there to help Me if needed. He even gave me his personal cell to reach out to him with any questions or concerns regarding my medical issues. I thought, wow is he for real? How common is this? For me, not common at all! He's the only doctor to care more than the rest !! When I have reached out to him in the past, he responds and if he can't - then his staff is calling me immediately to see how they can help me. When I'm with him In the office, he's nice and funny and acts like a part of the fam! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Come here- I promise you, you won't regret it. Thanks Doc Agha ! Hmmm...where to start. Dr. Agha was referred to me by another doctor. Being in an emergency situation, there was no time to shop around. My relationship with Dr. Agha for a clot was, right out of the gate, stressed. Where to start? I think a list of issues is probably the easiest. I will preface my list with the fact that I am a patient who has serious trust issues with medical staff, therefore I ask A LOT of questions. If I don't get an answer I like, I press. That did not go over well at all. I was dismissed, chastised, labeled difficult, and, I believe, punished (services withheld). Reasons I will not go back to Iya Medical: - incompetent nurse who got almost all of my medical information wrong - nurse with zero sense of humor and when I tried to make light, she gave me attitude - Dr. Agha is often unavailable, even though he encourages patients to contact him via text or phone - family is not allowed back with patient - refusal to share information for a second opinion (by law they have to, but boy...it was a fight to get records) - it took WEEKS to get the information I needed with me making two trips between the two offices only to have the wrong information shared - refusal to share patient record images despite six requests pre-, post-procedure, and during scheduled consult - procedure information wrong between staff - restraints used during procedure but initiated prior to sedation - procedures are strung along to make the patient come back more times than necessary (as confirmed by two independent doctors who reviewed records) - diagnosis added but nothing done to alleviate the problem - procedure consent not complete, just "sign here" - procedure consent does not indicate procedure/s done, only indicates that problems could arise - procedure plan changed without consent - no information given regarding cost of procedures (by law, the office must provide potential costs) The two biggest incidents that really pushed me over the edge were a situation where I was not getting information I wanted and needed so I scheduled a consult with Dr. Agha. I showed up for the appt and the scheduler had added it to the schedule incorrectly but they blamed me. Being over an hour away from the office, I take great care in making sure the appointments are correct. When I showed up for the adjusted appointment, Dr. Agha was an hour late and did not give me any attention at all. He was called out several times during our 30 min time together. In the end, he did not answer any of my questions, but diagnosed me with another issue and indicated he would fix it during my next scheduled procedure. He did not. Instead, he told me we would "play it by ear" and I could come back for another procedure (see above, with stringing patients along). The next incident that really bothered me is the patient information the nurse took at the first appointment. She got almost all of the information I shared wrong, even accusing me of saying things I did not say, as well as recording conversations that were completely irrelevant to the reason for my procedure. Two other doctors reviewed the records and indicated her notes were completely out of line and unprofessional. When I complained to Dr. Agha, he brushed it off saying the notes were not important. If they collect the information, it is important. While Dr. Agha is very personable and has great knowledge in vascular issues, I find him unprofessional, unfocused, and only after patients' money. I also want to be clear that Dr. Agha is not an MD, but a DO. That's all well and good, but if you are considering going to see him, you should know the difference. Dr. Agha also owns Iya Medical so he has great interest in making as much money as he can. Dr. Agha, if you're reading this, I'm sorry things could not have been different. I tried hard to make it work and just found you to be bothered by me, my questions, and my needs. I was in a life-threatening situation (your words, not mine), yet you could not be bothered to help me understand what was happening. I was extremely disappointed. To add insult to injury, you promised to help me feel better with the second diagnosis, only to pull that out from under me and tell me to come back for yet ANOTHER procedure. I will not be back for any reason. I know that probably makes you happy since I am too "difficult" with all of my questions. read more

Dr. AYAD AGHA and his staff are beyond exceptional, as well as one of the most professional and comprehensive medical offices I have ever encountered . For anyone frustrated with medical professionals these days ( right?!) this is one of the most patient centric facilities you could visit. I received a referral for Dr Agha, and he personally called me on his cell phone, did not make me feel hurried or rushed, explained the entire procedure and what I could expect and graciously answered all of my questions without making me feel I waste wasting his time. From each touch point there on, I continued to be impressed. The office staff actually ANSWERS THE PHONE WITHIN 3 rings at the most. I was scheduled for my procedure within 1 day of that and it was a stat situation and they accommodated me and had me scheduled for the procedure within 6 days... that is UNHEARD OF now especially with Covid and the backlog you encounter at most medical facilities. The facility is beautiful, convenient and clean. I did not have a ride to the facility and they graciously picked me up as they have a personal limo service which was so convenient. The nurses- Charlotte , Deepa Nelly, Nora, Omar and Leanne and Carl as well as Carol who answers and routes the calls with Helen, Jennifer at the front who greets you when you arrive, Ash who was my driver and every other person I encountered the day of my procedure that made it a success and made me feel comfortable and acknowledged. The recovery period is a difficult one and I knew that going into this. I needed to speak with the office several times following the procedure and NEVER ONCE had an issue when I called the office or needed to ask a question. I also had Dr. Agha's cell phone, as well as the main nurses cell phone. I credit Dr. Agha for saving my life when I had Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pulmonary Embolisms, and pneumonia at the same time. After leaving the hospital I still required nearly 8 months of treatment to get rid of all the blood clots that may have never gone away by themselves. He put in a filter so that if they did travel during the time of treatment, they would not hit a vital organ. I am now free of clots. He is helping me find a doctor to clear up the original problem - knee injury. He takes so much personal care of each of his patients. His staff is beyond reproach and over the treatment, have become friends. I can't say enough about all of them. Jim T. may be dissatisfied with his business practices, but I have found his front desk very helpful, the cost was more than super reasonable even during a change of insurance. Today I had the delight and pleasure to Visit IYA medial under the Professional Supervision Oversight of Dr. Agha. I had been to this facility previously for the treatment for a Thrombosis when Simon Med operated it and with great luck, I had Dr. Agha as my tending physician then and will working with my professional Healer Dr Agha once more. For this medical journey I am trying to address a torn meniscus in my left knee that I just let be for 10-12 years for I was working and at that time the technology was very surgical based and ALOT OF UNKNOWNS and success rate was marginal so let my body heal it as best it could. Well, in 2023 medicine and the new technological breakthroughs over that time along with the advent of A.I. are offering many more options and breakthrough technologies that were not ready for humanity back in 2005-2009 Today on the agenda was to get an ultrasound of the knee and check out some pressure in the left calf ensuring there wasn't a lingering blood clot for as a wise Professional Medical Professional named Jenny advised me once you get on chances are very good you could get more! The journey with IYA Medical, like all doctors offices, is the front office where check-in, insurance validation and appointment are handled. As with all other Medical Offices/Check-Ins BE PREPARED TO WAIT for that is an ultimate truism in this business model and IYA is the same here though they work very hard to get you into the back treatment rooms as quickly/efficiently as possible. The Superstar in this initial process is TJ. The man is a master at the phones, Customer Service Superstar and could have been a circus juggler in another life for he is attentive, warm, engaging, professional, polite and quite congenial to all customers. Sooner than later they called me and I began the long walk to the treatment room which some refer to it as the "Green Mile" for the hallways are very long (just kidding) nevertheless I met my Ultrasound Medical Professional Jenny who have been with IYA and Dr. Agha for a few years. Jenny was very professional, civil, direct, engaging, knowledgeable & very competent given the discussion of the procedure I was receiving that day. I found her approachable, conversant, great listener and very efficient. I have a gift of talking to much and I was bantering her with questions and my medical history and past experiences with Dr. Agha. In spite of my interruptions and distractive stories she quickly finished up with my ultrasound and did a quick check on my leg calf looking for any more blood clots. In all I was in and out of the procedure room in 20 minutes or less. THAT IS FAST and Jenny was very thorough and proficient in tending to my scan, answering my medical questions along with smiling at my satirical comments on Dr. Agha for he is fun to tease. Jenny walked me to the exist and kicked me out for I probably wore her out for that is one of my unique gifts of being query minded and quite loquacious. All In All and productive visit and successful one as I get ready for my Stem Cell and my GAE. Kudos off to the Front Office Team led by TJ and a few others whose names I was unable to get yet it was true team work. I arrived to my scheduled appointment on April 1, 2021 to have a small cyst in my shoulder joint aspirated. A full week since our Governor lifted a mask-wearing mandate. I was asked to wear a mask. When I politely declined and asked why a medical office, that did not require a mask to be worn before a government mandate, would now be enforcing one after the same government lifted the mandate, I did not get an answer to the question. Instead I was invited to fill out all of my paperwork outside. I politely accepted that request. Upon completing the paperwork outside and returning to the front desk, I was told by a receptionist that the doctor didn't feel comfortable seeing me without a mask. Of course I did not believe that a trained practitioner of medical science would say such a foolish thing, so I simply asked for my paperwork back and politely left their office. People in the lobby, some wearing masks, some not, and others half way wearing them, noticed. Until more consumers start to push back against the science-fiction virtue signaling crowd with our wallets, they will continue their unscientific power trip. I never met the doctor, and my guess is that he's a competent doctor and a nice guy who was probably not made aware of the real situation in the lobby of his office. If he was, and he still asked his staff to treat a patient in this manner, I'm glad I left the building before putting any trust in his abilities or money in his account. Ironically, I was never asked if I'd already been vaccinated. And this medical office is supposedly following science? Social studies, maybe. Science, no chance. Oh well, it was only a slight inconvenience and I'm confident that making another appointment with another reasonable doctor's office will be fairly easy. read more
