    Perch and poutine!
    Stephen B.

I had the perch with poutine, both were delicious. They source locally what they serve as much as possible, except the poutine gravy and curds which are the real thing coming from Quebec City. So make sure you get the poutine because it's the real deal and awesome.

Schooner's is great. Newer owner has completed extensive renovations. Outside patio is so much fun in the summer. Meal are good and priced reasonably. Owner is very accommodating for any special needs.

Wing House - Potato skins with a big rotten spot.

Not impressed. I placed an order online, which was not ready at my pickup time. I spent over $100 for 6 items and was only pleased with the salad. Very unhappy and this is not the first bad experience with this place. Enough chances, will never go back.

The nachos were barley nachos there was maybe five chips smothered in way to much cheese and were in total a waste to call nachos. Family Member #2 had the Mexican nacho and lost his appetite mid bite. Again way to much cheese, and it had a rubbery texture and taste. And forgot to put it above, but both nachos were sticking to the paper it came in. It stuck so bad just picking up a nachos would tare the paper and the ink on the paper would transfer to the food. Family Member #3 got boneless wings and a garden salad. Her wings were suposed to be honey garlic but had a very weird taste and texture far from what a wing should be the only good thing was her salad. I got the Mexican fries which were good at the start then went down hill. All the flavors started to taste strange and didn't sit well. 2. Service: From my experiences waiters attitude feels forced and uncomfortable. Even in a dead slow restaurant the food still takes ages to get to me even with a small order. Waiters after seating us would either ignore us entirely or avoid us and not interact until our bill. Every server I've had has also struggled with getting our order right even with clear communication. Recently made an online order when they opend (4:00) to pickup at 5:30. Got to the building about 5 mins late and still had to wait an extra 10 mins for the food. 3. Price: the nachos from above the first one was $14.99 and the second nachos was $16.99. The wings had only a few peices and was $14.95. Potato skins were $11.95 for four peices with barley any other the add ons. Prices were far from reasonable, and way to expensive for the result of the food.

The food was also delicious. I'm a sucker for fresh cut fries and they did not disappoint at all. I had a foot-long hotdog and it was a great quality beef hotdog... and the roll it was on was delicious, not just a regular hotdog roll. Now for the star of the show and what brought us there (even though it was a two hour ride from Buffalo, NY) was the dill pickle poutine... and it was worth the drive. Something different that was also delicious, two thumbs up. I didn't taste the burger but my daughter said it was delicious also... it was on a nice roll and they even toasted that also. Great job guys, we will be back.

I ordered the tiny sizes, but still, I wish they could just combine the two delicious dishes into one. All my questions were answered at the window (wasn't busy), and the food was hot & ready in moments. The grackles were delighted that I tossed a couple extra fries their way. While this is 'just a food truck', it's also something very special. The area is known for boating and birdwatching, and you really feel like you've arrived at the soul of the place watching over the mini harbor from the two picnic tables. A tiny little spot, but worth stopping.

This place has a lot of character! The wallpaper made me smile:). We ordered the calamari and pierogi appetizers and they were both very good. I ordered the Turkey sandwich and my husband had the steak sandwich. I enjoyed my Turkey sandwich and the fries were very good. My husband wound up eating half of my sandwich because the steak sandwich just was not good. There were spices on it that my husband and I just did not like, and the bread was hard to chew. Everything else was very good, so this sandwich was disappointing. Our server was friendly and took care of us despite the busyness of the festival. I'm glad we stopped here and if we're ever back in Ashtabula, we will try it again, but won't get the steak sandwich.

The staff was friendly, courteous, and willing to chat about recommendations as well as the history of the meat market. we both ordered a glass of red wine which was served promptly. I ordered a ribeye steak, and my wife ordered a strip steak. The orders took about forty minutes to be served but both entrees were delicious and prepared as ordered, clearly the best meal we have had in some time. My wife ordered thin onion rings as a side which were the best of the sides we tried. Our waitress also suggested we try several other restaurants within the bridge area. Our dining experience was excellent.
