This company is a literal blessing from the Lord and an answer to prayer…read more We searched and searched for someone to fix up our 1958 home for well over a year. The house was in such poor shape that we had gutted it down to the studs so we needed a whole home remodel. We had interviewed over a dozen companies that all fell through (more on that below) We got a call from a friend one day who recommended Andre Julien from STAC Construction. Andre reached out to us within 24 hours and scheduled a visit with us 2 days later. We sent him our architectural plans and when he arrived at our house, he had printed them out on 24"x36" paper to go over with us. He also had tracing paper on several pages where he had drawn out some phenomenal changes to the interior and exterior to make the house more logical, symmetrical and visually pleasing. One of the changes paved the way for us to have "his" and "hers" primary closets without adding square footage. Another change added two exterior gables to our home to make it less flat and added immeasurable curb appeal. Our favorite recommendation was raising our living room area from a squatty 8 feet up to 9 feet (therefore raising the roof) and adding a covered back patio in the process. Andre has a degree in architecture so his expertise as a general contractor is unmatched! We were basically blown away by his professionalism on day one. Pros: - Does quality work - Knowledgeable in architectural design and general contracting - Keeps the site clean after every step in the remodel process - Resolves problems or issues that come up in a highly professional and integrity filled way - A pleasure to work with. He is friendly, laid back, jolly - Patient and helpful with all kinds of questions from an inexperienced home remodeler such as myself. - Punctual and easily accessible via phone, text and email - Prices are affordable and not artificially inflated I would recommend Andre to anyone looking for a well priced and quality home remodel with an amiable general contractor. He can handle something as small a bathroom up to an entire home. All of the other general contractors we interviewed quoted us astronomical prices, did not listen to a word we said, came in acting like they knew what they were doing and were very inexperienced; others ghosted us for months after going through an entire bid process and we had many many other mishaps. We also interviewed places that sent you their "sales" guy and then would inform you that you would be working with whatever random person they sent out. Word to the wise, go with STAC Construction!!
