Linda gave us directions on how to get there. Once there, she helped me rent a car, secure a temp EZ Pass and insurance, within record time, in order for me to get to work. On top of that, I left my Better Brella umbrella at the office. Linda called me and assured me that she would hold it for me (which she did, until my rental was over). We were able to check out comparable 16 footer trucks prior to the rental, which definitely helped map out how we were going to pack the truck. The rental did start a little late as the truck was still in transit to the location but when it did arrive, we got essentially a new truck with less than 100 miles on the odometer, which was super ideal. Bernard also comped a hand truck to help with the move, so that was definitely appreciated! During the trip, noticed that SirrusXM was also included, which made a 36+ hour drive so much easier not having to search for nearby radio stations across the states. This truck also had two USB ports, two cigarette plugs, a standard electrical plug and a rocking AC. The captain chairs are still somewhat uncomfortable and don't recline very much but hey, these trucks aren't built for comfort,.... PS Bernard is definitely skilled with parking trucks. Watching him park a 25+footer, I swear I thought for sure he was going to side swipe the porch to the office trailer but he made it, with no more than 2 inches to spare. I'd trust this guy to park anything with more than 4 wheels.

They have super reviews for a truck rental place which is primarily why I selected them. The only bright side is that let me know on Wednesday instead of Friday when I went to pick up the truck but it still left me feeling negatively about them.

Once I got it full with all the items Iwas moving, I realized that I could had gotten a Cargo Van instead, anyhow, everything worked out. The back had a metal ramp which made it so nice and easy to load and unload. At the front desk finishing all the paperwork of the rental procedure was easy and fast. If you don't have that many things to move but need the assist then yeah! Small tip though. When you return your van/truck. Make sure to drive back down on Woodhaven and hang a left to the gas station. I drove back on that local street. The truck was not the newest or nicest to drive, but it did its job. Some blemishes to the experience were: 1. receiving the truck close to E and having to fill it up the tank, but not knowing how much to put in for what I need to get done. For a truck, it seems like there should be a minimum fuel level people should be required to return it at. And 2. Dealing with overnight parking was an added challenge because it takes a lot of research to figure out where you're allowed to park a commercial truck overnight in NYC. Maybe these are burdens that are expected to fall onto the customer, but from an above and beyond service perspective, I think a few more tips or a quick sheet guide to carry along would've again been super helpful during a period time that is already immensely stressful. From a basic moving truck perspective, this was a great choice and made me feel a lot better going with a local business and avoiding some competitors who had horrific reviews.

When picking up the van, we didn't have a full tank of gas. However, on the receipt, we only drove four miles BUT we were charged for the refill of 9 gallons of gas and the total ended up being approximately $116.00 due to the inflated price of filling up the tank and the service charge of $30. However, having only drive four miles, this would've have been less than a single gallon of gas. To anyone looking to rent from this place, do take a photo of both the mileage and the tank of gas at the pickup and at drop off. Luckily, we have the mileage as well as their website which states how much mileage goes off a single gallon of gas so we have the credibility to dispute. I will say, this issue was easily resolved with an email to the company.
