The tea I got to drink was also sweet; I wish I had known that in advance as I would have just had water. I tried a coco bread (presumably with coconut milk in it), which was handy for sopping up my sauce but not anything that really jumped out at me. There were a few other vegetable dishes and an extensive selection of juices and Caribbean sodas, so plenty of ways to get the island flavor. This particular culinary tradition isn't all that easy to find in the U.S., so I was happy to have found it here.
