    Brown Stew Chicken
    Icy E.

I really don't eat Carribbean cuisine as much as I did years ago, but I just recently started coming back here during the summer. I hadn't been in a very long time. I was happy to know they no longer put mixed veggies in the cabbage. Brown stew chicken is my favorite and they had enough for a medium portion tonight. The food is really good. But there is always an overwhelming amount of rice to meat ratio. I was a little bummed because I didn't get plantains on my plate. I'm figuring they were out as they close at 8, and I got there 10 mins after 7. They didn't have beef patties either. I used to go in the upper part of the day, but I will have to be honest and say I don't like the food as much. I always feel my meat is dry as if it's reheated or sat in warmer too long. That's just the best I can describe it. So when I can I try to do 5pm or later. I always feel as if I'm getting something better...tasty and flavorful.

This is a authentic restaurant ! They serve plates as well as cake. I ordered a double meat plates of oxtail and curry goat , Mac and cheese and island rice. The oxtails and curry goat were delicious! The curry goat was not as tender as the oxtail but both had amazing flavors. The rice and peas(island rice ) was well cooked and flavored. The oxtail was on top of the rice and the my put oxtail gravy on it. The oxtail and rice was my favorite and I will be back for more. The Mac and cheese was ok. I won't get the Mac and cheese again but I will be back to explore more of the menu ! The plate also came with two plantain and I loved them so I will order a separate order next time for more. The staff and food experience was great and I will return.

Friendly staff and good cooked-to-order food. I appreciate the vegan options. I was told that one of the cooks is a vegan and makes the juiced himself. There is a bit of a wait time to be prepared to chill or order ahead. The portions are huge and the selection is large. I ordered the Curry Tofu with two sides (collard greens and mac & cheese). It also came with 2 pieces of plantains. Overall I enjoyed the food, just a little too salty. I would definitely return. I want to try their Vegetable Roti.

It just depends on you!!! I was at the barbershop and heard people talking about this place, so I pulled up!!! Got the red snapper with my sauce on the side... Gillldlee that Rasta pasta is amazing and I would come back just for that, and it was just a side dish... The steamed veggies include cabbage!!! I would of posted pictures of my food, but it was so good I couldn't. Got the menu tho! The customer service was amazing and I definitely will be returning! They also have desserts and healthy drinks. Looking forward to going ba

Absolutely the best Caribbean food in the mid south. This place is ridiculous. The food is so good!! I had the jerk chicken (large) with cabbage and rice and beans with a side of oxtail gravy and immediately was in Caribbean heaven. This is now my favorite place to eat. If you love Caribbean food, come here. You will not be disappointed. .

Hands down my favorite Jamaican place. I might be strongly biased because it is also the only Jamaican place that I've tried in Macon. I was sold from the first bite! I'm a human of habit, so I almost always order the same thing. I highly recommend the curry goat, oxtail and also the beef patties! The gentleman who works the register and phone is very polite. He's always pleasant and gives good vibes. My order is always ready on time too. Sometimes, there's a longer wait depending on how busy they are. In the restaurant, they've got cake slices and sodas in the refrigerator for sale. Overall 10/10.

Oxtail was good, but the overall cleanliness of the restaurant is not good. Won't eat there again.

The jerk chicken had a great kick, which was exactly what I was looking for, and the rasta pasta slapped. It was creamy and flavorful. Honestly, the best side option, and I wish I opted for more of that. Better than the mac n' cheese, which I found to be alright. I have been to other places that include rice, but the meal here doesn't come with rice, so you have to choose it as a side. Not that it's necessary since there's rasta pasta right there. It's not a particular big place, but you can definitely eat here. When I visited, it was empty but busy because most people seem to opt for takeout here. I wish that the person at the front was a little more helpful with the difference between a medium and a large. I understand it's more food, but is the container bigger? Or is it another scoop or portion of meat? Does making it a large mean the sides are more too? I don't know, I was only told it was more food. I got the impression that I was being annoying, and I should hurry up and order, so I did. Not the best experience, so it's a good thing the food makes up for that.

My husband got the jerk chicken. His taste hadn't returned fully so he couldn't tell me if what he had was good or not lol. I however thoroughly enjoyed my oxtails. They were flavorful, tender, and the portion size was hefty. I ate off this plate for three days. I think the price point was average for Jamaican food. The rice and peas were good, but just a little greasy from the oxtail gravy. I also was hoping the rice would have a more coconutty flavor than it did. The Mac and cheese had a really good flavor, it was nice and cheesy and they had some kind of pepper in there. The greens were alright, about as good as you can expect for a restaurant, nothing like homemade though. I would definitely like to come back to try their jerk chicken and rum cake.

The food itself was nothing short of incredible. We both had jerk chicken plates and although their sauce has a kick to it I wouldn't say it was overly hot.
