I can't be happier with Atlas Contracting (AC), who installed my new Owens Corning (OC) 40 year…read morewarranty, 130 mph, algae resistant, etc., etc., etc., total roofing system (TRS)! You'll do yourself a big favor to read all of this review. And a much bigger favor to be sure and choose AC for your new TRS! I got quotes from 5 contractors, and AC was far and away The Best! They were the only one to give me in depth materials showing me exactly what TRS I was getting. With synthetic underlayment over the entire roof, starter shingles and drip edge/gutter apron along the edges, hip ridge shingles across the peak, ice and water shield in the valleys, new box roof vents, and new lead plumbing boots, my entire roof's TRS is brand new and ready for any weather! Will and Colin were Fantastic! I couldn't have asked for better or more! They went above and beyond on all matters. Will, the Manager, was my main contact person, and was very knowledgeable, very responsive to my many questions, and very easy to work with. Colin was very helpful and easy to work with too; he even created a support for a spot of my vaulted ceiling with its prior damage to avoid further injury! Their gutter specialist Josh (and his friend) even fixed old issues with my downspouts and dented gutters, and removed an old whiskey rain barrel for me, reinstalling the original downspout. They even rehung a series of zig zag, leaking gutters that wouldn't drain properly over my front door! Will and Colin showed me photos on their large TV in their new showroom off Nandino of other roofs they had done, with various colors, etc., and helped me pick out the best color for my home. Cassa in their office helped me multiple times on the phone and via email, and helped me file my 10 year full, 40 year prorated, warranty with OC. Will had gone through potential upgrades, including a 50 warranty option, etc. And AC gave me a 5 warranty on their workmanship. And to top it off, they gave me far and away the best final price, beating all others by over $1,000! I am so happy I picked them, because there is not a doubt in my mind: They Are Absolutely The BEST! Heh, tell them Tom D sent you. Maybe I'll get some referral checks! We paid him $17,000 which was over half the estimated job to build a master bathroom in upstairs bedroom. First went ok, the plumber came and ran some pipes from the crawl space to the second floor. after that week thinks just stopped. Mike said framers would be there but never showed and when we texted him he said something came up and they had to do something else. this went on for weeks. He then claims he paid them and they never showed. 4 weeks have now went by and mold had grown on the lumber he had delivered and placed in our upstairs bedroom. my wife is very allergic to mold and carries a Epinephrine pen so she can no longer go upstairs were the lumber is sitting. we have to live in our downstairs bedroom. Mike tells us that he can't get anyone so he will come and do it. he brags about how hard of a worker he is and he will show up at 9am sharp and put in the work of 2 men. the day comes and he is 3 hours late. I start texting him asking when will he be here because my wife has to leave and I have meeting and need to know when he will arrive so I can leave the meeting to let him in. He sends me a unprofessional text. you can see the attached image. Shows up hours late put in 6 hours of work then leaves. He doesn't do anything to address the mold on the lumber. Puts the lumber over the floor joists and covers it with plywood. I text him a questions about the work he did. He responds the next day with a text telling use to stop being nosy and let him do his job. Very unprofessional. Out of desperation we have him sign a contract to dissolve the original contract and he gets the wood out of the house but he also agrees to pay us $2,000 of the original $17,000 back. We gave him over a month to pay this back I even suggested he could do payments but he said paying the lump sum was fine. The month passed, he says he doesn't have it and then says to sue him and he would enjoy every minute of it. So instead I said if you don't have the money then you are to poor to sue so I will just write a review of your company and in my opinion very unprofessional behavior. he then begins cussing me and threatening me that he has some dirt on my from a previous city. which is absolutely laughable. I also started recording our phone conversations so if he disputes it I will post the audio files to prove what when on. Oh and now he has a different company name on his truck that says "Mike's General Contracting".
