She did an amazing job and they lasted a long time without a touch up. Fast-forward two years and now 2026 - on my birthday I was gifted to do my eyebrows again! Not only was I satisfied for the second time, I just did my touch up on Friday and I am beyond happy with the color , the shape, i am so pleased on how she made my eyebrows just totally make my face symmetry look amazing! There are a few reasons I felt comfortable moving forward with Broderie Ink: - Angela herself. She's a perfectionist and a pro. She was patient with me and her knowledge of her craft convinced me to trust her with my virgin brows. - Nanoblading: this technique is what she specializes in and yes, there is a difference between nanoblading and microblading so do your research. Nanoblading takes time, but it's well worth it. - Natural brow strokes/style: I wanted very natural-looking hair strokes and a no makeup look - basically, I wanted my brows to look the same but fuller. I don't wear make-up often and having very defined brows all the sudden (although they look nice on others) wouldn't be natural on me. Ultimately everyone has different wants for their brows, so speak up about what you want, trust Angela and know that everyone's brows heal differently - you may need a touch-up and that's normal. I honestly had never thought about getting the bottom lashline done, and I was genuinely not sure about adding it on--it was Angela's suggestion! But I am thrilled with how it came out. It definitely makes me look more awake and does NOT emphasize my dark under eye circles, which I worried about. Honestly, in my admittedly limited experience (got my brows/top lashline done once before elsewhere), lashlines last SO LONG on me that they're totally worth it. Last time my brows didn't even make the 2 year mark, but I could still see the lashline clearly after 5 years! So here's hoping they hang around this time. 2) If something is asymmetrical after your initial job, don't freak out, just let Angela know and it'll get taken care of in the touchup. She spent a good long time on my touchup; she is a perfectionist who honestly just wants to do a good job. 3) It is normal for the eyes and brows to feel a bit swollen while the process is going on, but once she is done, Angela will apply this magical epinephrine and the swelling will basically disappear (for me, anyway!) I don't remember my previous place doing this and it was really nice. Kathy's is the first place I've been to here in California to get a facial, ever since I came in…read more2007. With so many places I was skeptical to try, because most Asians are pretty brutal and harsh and they do not change routine. Anyhow, I got introduced to Kathy by a guy helping us out at work, and Kathy happens to be his girlfriend. And she just happens to do facials. That and a promise for a decent hookup? SOLD! Anyhoo, getting to Kathy's isn't too hard. Just remember, her little "booth" is located inside Mira's Hair, right next to the Korean restaurant. Kathy's area is partitioned off and has a folding door. So you WILL hear the hairdressers' chatter, clients mumbling, and the door opening/closing. However, Kathy was very very warm and polite and man does her skin look AWESOME! She does NOT look her age, so I know I'll be in good hands. Anyhoo, she recommended microdermabrasion for my long-time acne scars and demonstrated it on a tiny area to make sure I felt comfortable. The process of the dermabrasion is not pleasant, but not uncomfortable. I ended up feeling a bit raw, but Kathy made sure to make me feel comfortable afterwards, w/ steam, seaweed extract, an awesome cooling mask, and a rocking massage. She did mentioned that I had to lay off using the benzoyl peroxide (everyday routine) for just 2 days and to resume again. Also, she giggled to me that putting on makeup the following day, it's going to look GOOD. And she was RIGHT. Wow, the mineral makeup looked fantastic! Anyhow, make sure you allot at least 2 hrs b/c that's roughly how long my session lasted. Her prices are SUPER SUPER SUPER affordable. Kathy also does permanent makeup and waxing - but I declined the Brazilian...lol. Oh yes, cash only folks!
