    Headlight bulb not working

Please read this review in its ENTIRETY before taking your car to this less than professional family business. I called and spoke w/Jen about an accident I had and could I bring my car in and have the progressive adjuster go there and review the damage and she said yes but to bring it the first part of the week, I made arrangements to drop it on the morning on 10/01/24, which at that the owner (father of Jen) looked at the damage and stated, oh it's nothing. I left my car there that day and did not hear anything the following day, so I called them back. I was told the adjuster had been there late that day to look at my car and that's why I did not received a call to come pick it up. I picked up my car on 10/02/24 and was told they could not get me in until 10/21/24 and to bring it back then plus, they needed time to order the part. I put this on my schedule as I had to rent a car while mine was being fixed. When I took it in I also wanted my 2 headlights replaced and was quoted aftermarket price and OEM price for my Mazda, it wasn't a huge difference in price a little over $100 so I opted for the OEM headlights, the owner Ray "supposedly" wrote that down and then I still got a call from Jen asking which headlights I wanted. So I took my car back on the date Jen told 10/21/24 to have them start the work, I hear nothing for several days/week so I finally call them to find out what's going on and I was told by Ray (the owner) it was waiting for paint and he would get it in that day or no later than the following day, still no calls with an update. I called on Friday 11/02/24 to ask if my car was done, I was told no they had another car in front of mine and it would be ready by Monday 11/04. I called Monday 11/04 about my car and talked to Ray again and was told now it may be Wednesday, at this point I was upset I kept getting pushed back (my damage was a small claim pay out and I feel this was part of the reason). I explained I was told on Friday it would be ready Monday 11/04 and NOW you're telling me it's going to Wednesday, 11/06 I stated this is not acceptable, you have had my car since 10/21/24 which I was on the schedule for that day. He stated, I will see what I can do. I get a call on 11/05/24 (mid-day) that my car was ready finally. I pick it up and Jen didn't even deduct the labor costs from the Progressive claim for my EOM Mazda headlights, I had to point that out - she provided a not so nice comment " it was only XYZ for the labor" well, that was money I was paying out of pocket ($900 for the headlights) plus my $500 policy deductible and I expect if I'm coming out of pocket for something that would have been covered by labor I should not have had to point that out. Now the REAL drama begins, I take my car home & later that night I notice one of the new headlights the yellow bulb is not working so I call the next the day they say fine, bring it by and we will look at it. I bring it by and Jen asks the mechanic to take a look at it, he comes back and says it's probably just the bulb she tells him to replace it, he does he comes back in and hands me my keys says I'm all set. I got out to my car to look where he replaced it and there is a HUGE SCRATCH on my car that was not there before. I go back in and tell them this is not acceptable that the mechanic did the scratch. So Jen comes out to look at it and accuses ME that the scratch was not "freshly done or you could see metal". I stated yes, that was just done I take excellent care of my car and I said you would not always see metal in a fresh scratch (see photos) he nasty comment back to me was what, do you know do you work on cars? I stated as a matter of fact I know quite a bit about cars as I have a brother in the car industry for many years. Jens starts pointing her finger at me and said "you've been combative since you brought your car in to us when we had no power", I stated excuse me- I brought my car in on 10/21/24 when YOU (Jen) told me to and I have no idea what you are talking about having no power, there was power when I took my car in, I simply said obviously you have me confused with someone else. We go back in to the office and I can hear here call her dad on her cell phone in her office and explain what happened again, accusing me of having the scratch there before the guy replaced my headlight bulb. She then calls the mechanic back to her office and I can hear her asking him exactly what happened, he response was to soft to hear but I'm quite sure he admitted to causing the scratch. They agree to fix it and ask me to bring it back the next day which I did, the father (Ray) comes out and says I hear you claim we scratched your car, I stated I don't claim I know you guys did and I expect it be fixed and the chip in the hood paint that you guys did as a sloppy paint job that I originally was not going to complain about. He walks over to my car looks/touches it, refused to look at the photos I had on my phone.

Went in for an estimate and everyone was great, nice and accommodating. They also make it easier for people going through insurance and try their best to ease the customers as well. It only took me a few days for my car to get fixed! Everything went smoothly, I recommend J&J to everyone. They're a really great small auto business!

J & J's awesome job. That little mark is a reflection and NOT in the paint.

This is my second vehicle that I've taken there. (3 years) I am very happy with both outcomes. No need to look any further!

I'm going to do my best to keep this review focused without dumping everything in one review. The…read morefull footage review with proof is on youtube. This started the day I dropped the vehicle off on February 2nd. I had seen mixed reviews, but I took a chance. When I spoke with Harold and Dakota (his son), they quoted me what felt like a fair price and told me the car would be ready in about two weeks. I made it clear I needed it back by Monday because I had jury duty and VA doctor appointments. Dakota assured me that wouldn't be an issue. About a week in, I reached out for an update -- no calls back. That became a pattern. I called around 15 times. Only two were answered, both by the front desk. Most of the time my calls were ignored. That level of communication is frustrating and honestly unprofessional. Roughly ten days after dropping the car off, I went to check on it and saw they had only just started sanding. At that point the promised completion date was only a few days away, which didn't make sense. Because I couldn't get updates by phone, I had to keep driving there in person. I was even told at one point, "Don't call, just come up and talk to me." Each time I showed up, I was given another date. Monday. Then Tuesday. Then Wednesday. None of those happened. Calls still weren't returned. The front desk repeatedly said I'd get a call back, I never did. Meanwhile I missed three VA appointments and had to reschedule jury duty because I didn't have my vehicle. By Thursday I was done waiting. I told them I was coming down. When I arrived, it was clear communication had broken down completely. At that point I contacted the police, not to cause problems, but to document that I was trying to retrieve my vehicle. The officer explained there wasn't much they could do beyond advising a civil standby when I picked the car up. I had also seen other reviews mentioning confrontations, so I wanted everything documented just in case. When I finally went to pick the car up on Friday, at first glance it looked fine through the window. Once I saw it up close at home and under the sun, there were lots of issues. The top had been installed incorrectly -- the gasket was flipped on both sides. There were areas where touch-up paint was used instead of proper finishing. Parts like the inside of the door handle were sanded but not repainted, leaving a rough texture where you constantly touch the car. The interior was also left very dirty. They had the vehicle for three weeks. Some people may ask why I didn't have them fix it. After waiting that long and dealing with the communication problems, I didn't have confidence the process would improve. The timeline kept slipping, and most of the time the car was just sitting there when I visited. My biggest issue here isn't just the quality -- it's the lack of communication, the owner lying about me saying things I didnt say and missed commitments. If phone calls were returned and timelines were realistic, this experience would have felt very different. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking into other body shops. If you check BBB and Google reviews, you'll see similar complaints about delays and communication. Cars seem to sit for long stretches, and the person doing the work often wasn't the one I originally spoke with. The reason im giving a 2 star instead of a 1, is because they actually painted it the color I wanted. That was my experience. The full footage is on youtube

Long story short they install an aftermarket part on my car when I specifically wanted my car repaired to OEM specs. It was even more telling, after I price the OEM part based off how low the estimate price was. The aftermarket part was a lot smaller than the original. They did not reinstall my fender well clips. Instead that rolled my fender damaging the paint. The front facia has a lot of scratches as if it were dropped. Also noticed the ripped the facia clips on removal. As I mentioned long story short, this "$600"repair resulted in an extra $3500 in damage to my car. I highly recommend going to another shop. I've heard a lot of horror stories since dealing with this shop. I really wish I heard all of it before hand.
