We dropped it off and waited in the lounge area. We were told two hours and it was done in under an hour! It looks great and all the cameras are working fine:) I didn't get any names, but thank you to the gentleman that installed our glass and another thanks to the guy that was busy yet stopped what he was doing to help me find the bathroom and the secretarial assistant was very nice too! I was treated terrible and my security cameras recorded every time with sound because I asked him last time I seen him If I fix this problem then what and he said then grind the paint off the metal where the windshield goes so he decided a long time ago he was never going to install it but he liked coming over to watch me beg for it like a dog. After waiting for a month. The up side is I called a different glass company and they installed it the next day. it looks really beautiful now. Just my opinion Austin did say he can't install because he might lose his job so he must only getting paid by the hour because he doesn't want to work. so he driving around on satellite's dime that's sad. yelp says this is going on a pattern and many reviews say they won't install other windshields either. I have a 2005 Ford truck. The first appointment was 5/26/26. The last appointment was some gentleman called me and he sounded like a nice guy but instead of someone new coming out who might of installed it. They sent Austin again. He came out on 05/13/26 and took pictures and left. Thanks Austin . So 05/15/26 I called precision Glass and they installed the next day. I am giving a 3 star only because the service techs Brad and Chris were great. They are…read moreknowledgeable about their job, they are conscientious about their work and making sure we were satisfied. Lucas on the other hand could definitely take a class in people skills. I originally called to schedule an estimate, David the tech came and did the measure to replace a double pane picture window. He provided the estimate in an email, when I called to accept the estimate Lucas did not schedule an appointment to do the install and did not mention if they would call me back or what. A week later I called back and they helped me schedule the install. On the day of the scheduled appointment I re-arranged my work day to be available when the service people were to be here. I got a text telling me David would be arriving in 30 minutes. When he arrived he did not have the window because Lucas scheduled the appointment as a estimate not an install. I then had to re-schedule the install for the next week which meant another day of re-arranging my work schedule. Lucas refused to discount the total cost and told me if I didn't like it he would refund the 50% down and I could go to another company, which there are not any other companies that I am aware of that do this type or window pane replacement. When I found Glass Doctors on the internet, the Daytona Beach location had a Senior Discount up to $200.00, Lucas said that it was not good for Daytona Beach and that it was not suppose to be on their and refused to honor that discount and in his words "he would go broke in Florida if he honored a senior discount". Would I use Glass Doctors again, yes if I only needed the panes replaced versus the entire window unit. But that is because there are not other options available that I am aware of. But if I do use them again I will be going into the agreement with a new set of eyes and expectations.

Obviously anyone in the autobody repair business faces a customer base suffering from significant "humor failure." I was such a customer. I thought the staff were very professional and dealt with me professionally, promptly and, indeed, empathically. The estimator who examined my vehicle was prompt, professional and helpful in the extreme. Unfortunately my vehicle was assessed as a likely "total loss." He was exceptionally helpful in informing me of the process if/when the insurer accepted his judgement--which they did. When I returned to retrieve my personal belongings and license plate from the truck, the office staff were very accommodating and helpful. The estimator personally took time to help me remove some of the installed personal equipment. Hopefully, I will NEVER find my myself in need of Gerber's services; but if I do, I am coming back!
