Bug infestation a week after moving in....called customer service redirected my call to warranty dept. Warranty dept said we have a lot of bugs in Tennessee....well hey, there is great quote. I have lived in TN more than 20 yrs. , owned 4 different houses....the Summertown Barndo build is the very first house I have owned which had bug infestation issues. Stink bugs in almost every light dome (about 30 of them in my house), each had to be removed by hand on a 12 ft ladder and cleaned. I work as a nurse (since 2004) and have heard and read about several patients falling from ladders. Before my Barndo build started I was contacted and assigned to 4 different building supervisors -- I did hear the one who oversaw my build is no longer there. The contract at Summertown is basically after move in they are hardly responsible for anything in the first yr. warranty. They offer "arbitration" in said contract I signed....I have asked about arbitration to receive a "we don't need arbitration" or no reply at all. My wrong floor color and wainscoting was corrected by Summertown. These guys are lock step in the wrong direction of what's good and has integrity. I was asked twice for more money after I had already signed my mortgage contract -- as if they were pan handling of things not mentioned until after I was close to moving date. It used to be here in TN and man's word was his bond. My building supervisor at the time told me everything could be corrected after I move in. The warranty dept. said no even to a light fixture installed by their hires (has no purpose), I kindly asked STM to remove it after I moved in, they said it's not our responsibility.

The face frames for my base cabinets were not routed correctly and the replacements were exactly the same. Ended up having a local cabinet maker route the channels out correctly. The next issue was the drawer fronts on one cabinet and two doors for two different cabinets which were supposed to be made of Birch. Mine were MDF. The reason I found this out is I wanted the base cabinets to be a different color, so they were sanded...MDF shows up. Timberline said the drawer fronts and doors were supposed to be out of Birch but they would not take care of the problem that I had to have Shane deal with this issue. Shane is ignoring my emails. I will be filing with the consumer protection agencies on both these companies for bait and switch. Don't buy from Online Cabinets Direct or Timberlane. The quality is not there and the Customer Service is non-existent.

Suffice it to say that they were TERRIBLE when it came to delivering on what they promised. They would CONSTANTLY say product would arrive on a day and when that day came around they would call and say it was not going to arrive. And then many times when it did arrive very late, it was the complete WRONG door or stair parts. I get normal delays and a mistake here and there--that is just the construction process, but here the salesperson (Carter) just straight up lied about things and whenever there was a mistake he ALWAYS blamed someone else, it was never his responsibility or fault. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING because they DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORD and your project will be delayed, cost a fortune, and you will end up pretty pissed off.

Also, the company never answered the phone in 3 consecutive days of calling, messaging them on "their" website, and emailing them (oh, sorry, they emailed back a day or so later, but that really did not do any good at all --- too late).
