However, after the first visit with the high upfront cost, he says the monthly cost is actually for once a month work instead of the biweekly work as he first stated. The following month, he repeatedly flaked on appointments. He first charged me on Venmo, saying he would come "tomorrow". He never showed up. I ask him again when he will come out and why he didn't show up. He says "first thing tomorrow". Still no show. I reached out again a third time, he says "Saturday". This company is fraudulent and unreliable, avoid at all cost. Response to Owner: Here is a conversation of the owner admitting for over a month, he did not come to service my backyard. We called after he missed the appointment and he responded that he meant "tomorrow". When I asked what day he thought that means he responded by hanging up. There is something quite wrong with this person, he asks for your address then behaves like this, as he wanted us to call-in his name @ our secure gate access. We plan on informing our Anthem HOA to report this fraudulent activity ASAP.

The simple task was to upkeep the yard in the condition it got cleaned to for certain amount. They have been failing to do the job if supervision is not applied. Furthermore, when you ask them why they stopped watering the bushes for example, the answer was to pay them $25 more per visit so they hold the hose for 5 min. They do not upkeep the yard, the trees started to die, too much weed killer as well, perhaps. We never watered those bushes when we lived there, they are native to the desert and never died. The yard grows some weeds, oops, it is $120 more to spray the " extra" weeds. Because they have not being upkeeping or over spraying with weed killer, the bushes and the small trees started to die. I have a dead young palm tree as well. When you tell them to do what you have being paying them for, it is an extra $100 per visit. What have you been doing for the money you get? The bushes and small trees are the only things to maintain. Have you being mowing the rocks? When you do the " cleaning and maintenance trip" and you charge without getting the job done consistently, then ask for extra money to do what you were getting paid for and you did not do, it is a scam. $220 per hour for yard maintenance visit? I'm sorry , it's not BMW dealership service shop.

We use this company for our yard maintenance and they do great work. Highly recommended.read more

I decided to go for it, and he was there right on time took a look at the trees, and told me what he could do. He checked with me that the price he bid was still alright with me, I said yes, and he told me he had to wait for another guy to come. Once he got here the two of them got to work. They did the job fast, and did everything I expected, and then some. They went as far as cleaning everything and even skimming my pool. I would highly recommend Salvador for his professionalism, promptness and availability, and just general quality of work!

I requested a quote to replace dead grass with decorative rock in a small yard--about 750 sq ft (roughly 37 ft by 20 ft). His estimate came in at about $2,600. To understand the cost, I called local rock suppliers. Rock runs about $71 per ton, plus $75 delivery, and around a 10% fuel surcharge. For the 8-10 tons most companies quoted, that puts materials at roughly $900. Barrier/tarp material is around $100, so I estimated about $1,100 total for materials. Since he said the job would take about a day: removing the remaining grass, laying barrier, capping sprinklers, and spreading rock that means the remaining $1,500 of his quote would be labor. That number surprised me, because it made his total price about 65% higher than other quotes I received for the same amount of rock and the same scope of work. I will be going with another vendor because his price was over $1,000 more than the others. That said, he was polite and professional, and I can't comment on the quality of his work only the cost. I'm sharing this to help other customers make informed decisions. I recommend getting a few quotes for comparison. Hopefully this feedback also helps him stay competitive, because he seems like someone people would want to hire.

My concern was that I felt the result was very different from what I hoped. I was disappointed. I hoped to have one of the nicest properties in the community, and instead I felt a little embarrassed. This is my fault, but I was out of the country for a couple of months while the company was doing the install, and I was too busy to give the project the careful thought that it required. After being in the house for one week, I decided that I was unhappy enough to be feel bad instead of happy about my new front and back yards. I decided to find another landscaper to totally redo the landscaping. I had seen the Desert Sage Landscaping truck several times over the past few months working on nicely landscaped properties (I rented a house in the community for 8 moths while they built my house). I liked what I saw. I talked with one of the guys and he took me to the owner, Miguel. I liked having the owner actively maintaining landscapes because that gave me confidence that he had a lot of practical, on the job experience with plants in our desert environment. I showed him my front and back yards and told him what I wanted done. I asked him about many plants that I liked and he told me what was good and what was bad. He was speaking from experience in maintaining so many properties. He gave me a plan within 24 hours and began a couple of days later. He and his crew spent about a week replacing the walkways and plants, and adding boulders, hills, irrigation, lights and many plants. The price was reasonable and the result is excellent. I now have one of the nicest landscaping in the community. Thank you, Miguel and your team at Desert Sage Landscaping.

Right from the start we found James from SonoranScapes the most responsive and professional. Other companies either took way too long to reply to calls or certainly were not the most innovative people to deal with. We previously worked with one landscaper to develop a design for the entire yard - back and front. While it took much longer than anticipated, it helped to give us a visual layout. This experience however, also gave us the necessary input to realize we did not want to continue working with that organization. The quote from SonoranScapes was the most competitive we received. The work was to complete implementation in both back and front of our property and James's quote encompassed all the work we wanted without cutting any corners. We were quoted nearly twice as much from other organizations. We had a few concerns about the design we had, and James was able to provide us with some great alternatives and suggestions to make the end project look outstanding. He was incredibly easy to work with, flexible and always responsive to any questions we had. We would also mention that James is very "hands-on", besides being onsite most of the time and very involved in the actual work. The SonoranScapes team was great throughout the entire process - they were prompt, respectful, professional, and most importantly delivered a STELLAR final product. James answered all our questions and checked in with us on a regular basis about the progress, and any updates. We couldn't have asked for anything more! We now have a beautiful and picturesque yard with an entertaining space. We highly recommend SonoranScapes.
