I hardly write reviews for any business that I go to but I had to download this app just to leave this review. I took my friend to get her nails done to celebrate her new promotion and the experience we had is nothing short of repulsing. The business and staff have no respect for their customers, nor talent in their "craft". When she went in for a basic nail set design, nothing intricate, extremely simple, they failed on every element of execution then proceeded to tell me it was "the service we paid for". In no way do i find this acceptable, and after seeing the other reviews of this place, I have no choice but to not recommend coming to this establishment. The guy who works there is so aggressive on my nails and I left the salon today with my toe wrapped in a cotton ball and bandaid because of how much I was bleeding. Got a fill with gel color on a Friday within 1 week gel polish bubbling and acrylic chipping. Called to get it fixed following Sunday (I can go 3-4 weeks between fills). Jimmy proceeded to do a full fill and gel color and told me I was good to go - I replied that I would like to pay for the fill because it was more than I expected to get done...so he charges me $49 for a $28 fill. Basically paid full price for the poor job that was done in the first place. read more

I had initially given this salon a very high rating on Google but I'm back because of the experience I had today. I called ahead and asked if they had time for a gel pedicure, they said yes come on in. Walked in, wasn't greeted, and then asked if I had an appointment. I said no but I did call and ask if they could do it. I then just stood there, while everyone stared, waiting for instructions. The woman doing my pedicure was rude. They didn't even offer a menu like they did before. And each service I asked for she kept asking if I could pay, what would make you assume I couldn't? They didn't have the color I initially chose, fine. I asked the tech to cut my nails down and she acted like it was going to be the biggest inconvenience of her life. I got a gel pedicure here a few weeks ago and it was $35. Today it was $50. She said it was an additional charge to for dead skin removal, and I want you to see a picture of my heel because I honestly can't believe I left like this. But after being in there for an hour and a half I couldn't stay any longer. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the shape was nice and the polish was neat. Came here as a group to get out nails done for a wedding. During one pedicure, a bridesmaid's toe was cut very deeply. She was bleeding for an hour, and we had to go buy extra first aid. Usually my go to nail salon (I don't get my nails done often) but not after today. I was in and out in 20 mins for a gel mani and eyebrow wax. The entire appointment was rushed. I came in with a little bit of regular nail polish on my finger nails, it was shaved off with the tool rather than using a cotton ball and nail polish remover. Normally with a manicure you soak your hands at some point...Nope. My cuticles were cut DRY. No cuticle oil applied before or after. I asked for a Gel French Mani which is not the same as white tips on top of clear polish but that's what I got. My design was also put in the wrong spot on my nails. I pay $62 plus tip then I'm rushed out the door. I get to the car to see my nails are scratchy, like they weren't properly filed and I have nail polish all over the sides of my fingers. I still have wax remnants on my eyebrows. Im so disappointed and let down because like I mentioned, I don't get my nails done often so when I do, I want to feel beautiful and this wasn't it. read more

Very unsatisfied they charge me $130 for pedicure which I paid $55 for the special pedicure and a fill and two replace two nails. The pedicure took extremely long 1 hour and 10 mins the girl was new didn't know what she was doing she didn't know how to use the " cheese grater " to remove the calluses off my feet. I told her to do it a little harder she didn't, still calluses on the bottom of my feet. Then here comes a boy to do the paint of my nails and then the owners wife to do the fill, so of course it's over $130 including the tip for each person. I told her the last time I got a full set and special pedicure it cost me $120. I get the basic white tips for my full set French nails and white gel on my toes. Owners wife insisted that she forgot to charge me 20 extra for my gel last time. She had to take it from her pocket ?? So you EXTRA CHARGE ME. When you did my full set and pedicure last time. That's doesn't even make any sense !!! Oh and I paid $50 cash and the rest card and she pockets the $50 Cash along with her tip. Very outrageous and WRONG ON HER PART. Zero stars. I had a gel manicure a week ago here (Tuesday). Worst experience, nail tech did not seem to know what they were doing and kept going to the back. I have gotten gel manicures for years at lots of places and fully understand the tech stepping away for another customer for a sec, but not to go to the back randomly. The gel started to chip the next day.(Ridiculous!) On day 3 I went back in to get 3 chipped nails fixed. (Friday) It has now been a week and I have 4 chipped nails including one of the ones that was fixed. I do not know what they are doing differently but I have never had a gel manicure chip this bad. Numerous services to select from and you are offered a beverage while you have your service completed. Always professional with a sprinkle of humor with the technicians. My sister raved about this place and said they were so nice to her so I decided to go and get my nails done here for prom. Worst experience ever! I walked in and waited to be greeted for 15 minutes. Then they asked what I wanted and I told them a full set, she rolled her eyes and walked away. So I picked out a color and sat back down for another 10 minutes. The older women shouted at me to come to her chair so I went over there. She was so rough with my nails, she even left me bleeding in multiple spots. Worst nail salon I've ever been to and super overpriced. I went here only because my sister was having my niece's birthday party here. While we were there I decided to get a pedicure and gel manicure. First of all they took forever. The pedicure was fine. Then when I got my nails done the lady cut my fingertip with the nail cutters instead of my nail. I should have just said forget it at that point but continued getting my manicure. Well it took seriously like 2 hours so by the time I was done I juts wanted to get out of there so I paid and left. It cost $78 for a pedicure and gel mani which is absurd. Then when I got to my car I looked at my nails and they looked horrible. There were little bubbles under the top coat and you could see where she didn't even get the clear polish all the way around my nail. I should have went back and demanded my money back but I was so annoyed at that point after spending 3 hours there I didn't even want to deal with them anymore. 3rd time I've been there and I'm never going back. First time, my nails were great. So I went back. Second time, The technician was so rough with my nails that I was cringing and saying "ow" so then I could not apply pressure to my nails for a few days. A few months go by and I figure at a different time of day, there could be other nail technicians who could do an adequate job. This place is the closest to where I live and convenient while I'm running my errands while my children are at school. I'm never coming back here. My nails look like somebody watched a tutorial on YouTube. This will be the second time I've had to pay more money to go to another nail place to fix what this place screwed up. Not a good experience. I have been getting my nails done for over 26 years and I must say this is the worst place I've ever been to. Everything is dirty. My nails were thick as jellybeans. Not filed even either. They painted not only my nails but also my cuticles and skin around my fingers. They attempted to clean it up but it still looked crappy. I was not happy with it at all. After politely complaining, They removed my paint, refiled them, and painted them a second time. Even after the second job, my nails just look crappy. I Love J&J The owner is very friendly and accommodating I drive all the way from Perryville to get my nails done here when I have many choices just 5 minutes up the road. Some of the good is that my nails always last here I can go a month with gel nail polish and nothing chips. The nails stay on here and they hand paint designs and I look forward to going back and chatting it up with the nail techs.So many people I know also go here biweekly and I would recommend this place to anyone!! Went with my 7 year old niece to get our nails painted. I asked just for a quick polish change for both. What they didn't tell me was my niece picked out a gel polish. They charged us $47 for what should have been a quick polish change and now I have to take her back to get the gel removed. The last thing I want anyone to do is soak her baby nails in acetone.
