I was looking to get a soak off and my regular nail salon was closed today. I tried stopping at other places near which turned out to be closed as well so I decided I would drive down Route 50 because I knew there was a nail salon that I would pass. I was so grateful they happened to be open as I also expressed that to the lady I was greeted by when I came in! I asked her if she could take my nails off for me and she did. I soon noticed that began by POPPING my ANC nails off with an extra nail tip. I was mortified. She asked me if it hurt, obviously knowing that what she was doing was not protocol if she had to ask me if it hurt. I had two nails that I cut short myself and one of them popped off pretty easily so I thought that maybe she was only doing that because my nails were already a little bit lifted but I have NEVER ever come into a nail salon where they slid a nail tip under my nails to try and pop them off. I did explain to her that I do not do that with my own nails as it's so damaging (hence why I came in to get a soak off rather than doing it myself) but she continued to pry at my nails. I took a picture and put it below of my nails after she ripped the ANC from them. My ring fingernail is pretty long and I try hard to maintain them as best as possible but layers of my nail were ripped off in the process. She kept prying the ANC from my thumb nail and then she ended up soaking the other two nails in acetone which is what she should've just done in the first place. At this point I am in pain and I asked her if she would just soak off my left hand which she did. Another customer came in who had an appointment so the worker went over to her with her portable nail drill and began her nails over in the waiting area. I noticed that the customer immediately had her nails in foils getting them soaked off with gloves on which help retain heat to speed the process. I was in there for probably 45 minutes and I am very patient but I know this service doesn't take as long as it did because she was checking on my nails every couple minutes to see if they were done soaking which they were not because they couldn't have any time to sit and process. The two photos below are my nails the way I left the nail salon and it speaks for itself. I would never let somebody leave my salon with those nails. At the end of the service I asked her why I didn't get the same treatment as her other client which she could not provide me an answer with and I proceeded to explain that the way she popped my nails off was very damaging and that I hoped she did not do that to anybody else. I told her thank you very much and wished her a good day which then she demanded $10. I told her that I was extremely dissatisfied with the damage done to my nails and that it was not worth $10 and she told me not to come back. If you want a soak off this is NOT the place.

I have never had a wax this smooth or this complete. She even denuded my lower belly ("this happy trail is not so happy") and parts of my upper thighs I'm too lazy to always shave ("it's messing up my masterpiece"). She used three different kinds of wax and was intensely efficient without ever making me feel rushed. She also didn't make me feel like a fat glob of rolling and undulating lard deposits, as is so often the case for big girls when we get waxed. She asked me to hold some of my skin tight, but I never felt grotesque or like I didn't belong there. I also had much less irritation than I've had with other wax experiences, and I really like that she didn't tell me to come back in four weeks. Six to eight. That seems so much more rational, manageable. Very refreshing. Bottom line: go see Kat. Your confidence will skyrocket ... but it might be difficult to resist the urge to show everyone how dang smooth you are down there.

I just want to add that I'm a bit obnoxious and picky about places that I go to, but Reema is truly great. She is the owner and the ONLY one there so you know you'll always get a great job done.
