Hooks Mobile Blasting was an epic find. I drove my 1970 Cutlass Supreme from Las Vegas to Chicago…read moreto restore it with my father in Chicago. I found Hooks on the internet and contacted him to get a quote for the entire car and a set of Rallye Wheels. The price was great in my opinion, so I set up an appointment to have the care taken down to bare metal. Hooks came out to look at the car and give a quote and then we set the appointment. Hooks was on time the day of the appointment and got to work right away. The entire process took about 9 hours, which when you compare that to stripping the paint off with paint remover or 40 grit sandpaper, I think you'll agree that this is the way to go about getting your vehicle taken down to bare metal. They blast the car with a sand and glass mixture and pump it through a pressure hose with liquid to cool the steel so it doesn't warp. They also add a rust inhibitor that lasts 3 days so it doesn't flash rust. Once the surface is stripped it is ready for primer within 72 hours. I can not recommend Hooks Mobile Blasting enough, he was professional and kept me in the loop on everything he was doing and things he discovered during the blasting process. And, when it was all finished, he cleaned up the mess left behind. Pat Hooks is just starting out with this business and already he's hitting home runs. Thanks again Hooks Mobile Blasting.
