Was driving North on I 95 in the express lane and a tow truck traveling North bound in the regular lanes all of a sudden change from the left lanes where trucks are not permitted (traffic signs stating no Truck in left lane), plowed through the plastic divider that separate the express lanes from the other lanes. I was traveling in the express lanes going 60 MPH and this tow truck all of a sudden plowed through the plastic dividers destroying about 20 of them as he was driving at least 60 + mph, the debris was flying all over the express lanes and hitting my car with the flying plastic posts. The tow truck caught up to me and was besides my car and I was able to see the truck logo and phone number, who was J&J towing out of Margate FL. The driver looked over at me and gave me some nasty looks and was saying something to me that seem not nice. He was breaking all kinds of laws, from speeding, damage to the highway, littering debris. I called the company and got a male from dispatch and told him what happened and he could care less about it; he said I have 65 trucks and I don't know and disconnected my call. My 2025 Tesla Model Y DUAL MOTOR AWD -- clearly labeled -- was towed without my request due to a condo parking dispute (which I'm handling separately). What followed was blatant negligence and mockery, fully captured by Tesla Sentry Mode, and I'm also in the process of obtaining 7-Eleven's surveillance footage for additional documentation. Here's what happened: * The driver TREVOR arrived shirtless and got dressed in front of my car -- completely unprofessional from the outset. * He then took a photo of the back of my car, clearly showing the "DUAL MOTOR" AWD badge, and proceeded to tow it improperly -- lifting only the rear wheels and dragging the front wheels, in direct violation of Tesla's towing procedures. * I was alerted by the Tesla app when the alarm went off. After checking my Sentry Mode footage, I tracked my vehicle to a 7-Eleven, where the driver was fueling his truck. * Only after I confronted him did he begin attaching front dollies -- too late to prevent possible damage. * He then became aggressive and yelled at me, and worst of all, before he towed my car he walked to each of my car's cameras and sarcastically waved goodbye, fully aware he was being recorded -- clearly mocking the situation. Tesla's own owner's manual clearly states that AWD vehicles must be towed with all four wheels off the ground, or serious damage can occur to the motors and powertrain. This is basic, well-known information for any qualified towing professional. The "DUAL MOTOR" badge was visible -- there is no excuse for this kind of handling. When I called the company, the dispatcher JUDY (which now I know is one of the OWNERS) dismissed my concerns, saying "he's been towing for 30 years," as if that justifies violating safety protocols and mocking a customer on camera. They still charged me to release the vehicle, which now I am having professionally inspected by Tesla. I have video evidence of the entire incident, which will be posted on YouTube publicly. I'm also obtaining the 7-Eleven security footage and documenting everything. I will be filing formal complaints with the BBB (done!), the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Attorney General's office, specifically the Consumer Protection Division, and I am preserving my right to pursue legal action and small claims court for negligence. If Tesla determines that any drivetrain or motor damage resulted from this improper tow, I will also pursue full recovery of damages, including diagnostics, repair costs, and legal fees. In 2025, there's no excuse for a towing company to be this uninformed about EVs. Do not trust this company with your property. They are reckless, unprofessional, and dismissive of both safety and accountability. read more

My car was not disabled but I was. I had fallen and was taken to the hospital and my car remained at the restaurant. The next day, I called my auto service and they arranged for J&J to pick up my car and bring it to my home. As soon as they got the call, J&J notified me to verify all of the necessary information and immediately sent Marlon to retrieve my car. Amazing service from the gentleman on the phone, to the text updates to Marlon who delivered the car. I don't think the whole thing from start to finish took much more than an hour! Marlon was professional, very pleasant and even expressed concern when he saw the physical condition I was in. He's a great representative for J&J. read more

I'm the security guard at a local community and been using J and J for about 13 years Having a problem with someone named Leo of late. He has been answering the phone sounding half asleep. After advising him that I need a vehicle to be towed he responds that it Will be an hour before he'll be there and then doesn't show. I am convinced that he is sleeping on the job. Whoever is answering the phone has no sense of customer service. I waited 45 min with no eta. Called them back because the police arrived due to my car being in the road. The extended warranty company arranged for J&J Towing to pickup my car that broken down on the side of the ride. I pushed the car into a nearby parking lot and waiting for the flatbed truck. The estimated time of arrival was 90-120 minutes. Note: it is 88 degrees and I'm 74 years old. While I am waiting for the tow company driver, I read Yelp and found more negative reviews than positive ones. When I called and spoke to Judy, I was told I'm next on the schedule. 1 hour later Judy calls to confirm the pickup address and delivery address. Judy states there is one call ahead of mine. 2 hours late, Judy called. They can't pickup the car because they have an FHP (police) call to go on. Judy offered to pickup the car sometime during the night. Why anyone would do business with this unreliable business is a mystery to me. read more

I have been stranded on the highway for six hours trying to get a tow from my insurance company. Finally, I called JJ because they were referred to me by my mechanic. On the personal level, they were very nice. Excellent communication and they arrived on time. while I was waiting one of their employees (I believe Jay) arrived with a small car behind me and handed me a bag of chips and a bottle of water, I really appreciated that. the tow arrived with a nice man named "Rick", he was also nice and polite. He did a good job loading my RV on the flat bed. On the business level, the issues started when we unloaded at the mechanic lot, the RV was dragged and I had damage to the bumper, rear panel, generator pipe and septic tank. I taped the unloading on my iphone (I strongly suggest you video tape the loading and the uploading if you got towed). I did not get an estimate or a bill. I paid over the phone while I was being towed and the lady was not customer friendly at all, she asked for my CC before she even tell me the cost. When I tried to call the business to get an invoice, I was told to call later or next morning only from 8-3. three different times and one could help me or agreed to take a message to the owner or the person in charge. Finally, I contacted someone, and they emailed me the receipt. She asked me to take my RV to their place to assess the damages, I will take it to the dealer to get an authentic estimate. This review is just based on the customer service over the phone. My car needed to be towed to the dealership because it wouldn't start, and it was fairly late in the evening. I had called my road side assistance company who called J & J towing. I wanted some more details so I called the towing company directly. The lady I spoke to was so nice, and patient with all my questions. She was also able to schedule the tow first thing when they open the next morning, so I don't have to say up late waiting for the tow person. Towing companies are not known for being flexible, accessible, friendly, and patient, so I was pleasantly surprised. My car was parked by 7530 Southgate Blvd for less than 2hr, literally next door to our property at 7500 Southgate Blvd, when J&J towed it to their facility in Margate. I found this out after looking for my car around 6:15p. After calling J&J, I found out it was by their facility and the only way to get my car is to pay $168 in all cash. Even though i offered to pay with a card, I was impolitely told only cash payment was accepted. After calling my daughter to come get me then take me to the facility, she was able to lend me the money. The guy on duty was very impolite and discourteous. A younger lady showed up and after asking if she could help out, also had an unprofessional attitude. Life's too short to show no care or compassion. Customers deserve better treatment. read more

My husband and I were coming back from our company picnic on July 17 when my car ran out of power due to a faulty alternator. We managed to coast to the side of the road on a very busy Sawgrass expressway. We called a well known service for assistance and were not treated very well. And after making 4 phone calls over a course of 5-1/2 hours battling , heat , bugs and rain we just gave up. Upon searching the area where we were stranded we called J&J because they were open 24/7 and it was getting closer to 9:00 at night. Within 40 minutes their driver showed up and started hooking up our car. Harry our driver informed us that he usually gets off at 8:00. But he had to deliver a car to a car dealer and was heading home when the dispatcher begged him to take our tow since we had been stranded since 4:00 that evening. When I was told that I was so appreciative of that very nice lady. That was going over and beyond customer service. Also, Harry made sure that we were comfortable in his cab adjusting the air, was super friendly and I know he knew that we were to really tired. I remember him saying " You're almost home" and that almost made me cry because I was so grateful to be on my way home. As soon as we got to our house he even assisted my husband in getting our car in our driveway and it was a pretty tight squeeze. J & J knows how to treat customers and I will never forget their kindness. My wife's car cut off on her way home from work in a not so friendly part of Broward. After I arrived on the scene to wait with her after J and J was contracted to come tow the car. After two hours of waiting we get a call from the driver saying that we would be there in 20 mins. 10 mins later an employee at J and J's office calls us telling us that the driver is no longer coming because he was called by the police to tow a vehicle and it would be another hour until someone came. As you can imagine I was pissed off. It's 9 pm and unsafe. She quickly responded with " I can cancel the request and you can find another service to help you." Bad communication. A guy named Jeff was very impatient. When we called the first time, they got the information and said they had sent a car over. On the second call, he asked us for the name of the city, but we had already provided the zip code on the first call.(I believe this detailed address with zip code can find the location without the city name) Even though we provided enough photos. Like the car that needs to be towed, address information. On the third and fourth calls he kept asking us for contract information, company name. After we tried every possible name he kept telling us he couldn't find the contract information. When we finally got the original electronic contract from our boss after two and a half hours. The name written on the contract was one of the names we had mentioned! The most incredible thing happened, he required the person who signed the contract to be on site waiting for the tow truck to arrive to sign before he could do so. This is unreasonable! And what got me emotional was that this Jeff guy he didn't care about our feelings at all and kept rudely interrupting us. For example, talking while we were talking, raising the volume, etc. Constantly repeating that we need a contract to tow the car or it is a stolen car, etc. I have suggested to my boss to consider changing towing companies. And would highly not recommend anyone who may read this review to do business with this company. Their towing service may be excellent. My experience was definitely not a good one! I contacted my Roadside assistance and they out J N J towing, big mistake as the staff there are RUDE and very unprofessional!! I called to find out the eta time and the rude ass woman advised i need a different tow as she indicated they don't have. So I proceeded to advise why no one called me I've been waiting 2 hours for assistance. Wth!!! As she gave me some nonsense they are short of help, which of bunch of SHIT!! My time is valuable and needed to be followed up.. If I didn't call no one would have the courtesy to call and advise . after waiting 2 hours I had to request another tow company and guess what...
