For everyone, I rarely write reviews, but EF Tire & Auto Repair truly deserves one. This has been, without a doubt, the best experience I've ever had with a mechanical repair shop. I chose EF Tire & Auto Repair based solely on the excellent online reviews and because it was conveniently located near my home. I didn't have a personal recommendation, but I'm so glad I trusted what other customers had to say. From the moment I dropped off my car, I received outstanding customer service. The team treated me with kindness, empathy, and professionalism. They understood my situation and kept me informed every step of the way. Their communication was excellent, and I always knew what was happening with my vehicle. Because of their honesty and transparency, I felt completely comfortable leaving my car with them and going to work without worrying. Although the repair took some time, I appreciated that they were being thorough and making sure everything was done correctly rather than rushing the job. At one point, my car required a specialized repair that could only be handled by the Hyundai dealership. Instead of simply telling me to take it there myself, they personally transported my car to the dealership for me. That level of service and dedication is something you rarely find today. My check engine light came on EF Auto Repair mobile came to my house diagnosed the problem No charge. I had an oil change done and in the next few weeks I'm going have my gasket replaced. I highly recommend this company. Very professional, they come to your house give you an estimate with no pressure and if you decide to schedule appointment, they were on time., had to work done at the convenience of your home.Did a great job. My car has a ding in the front. I'm also gonna have him come back to fix the fender and he's going to repaint that area at a very reasonable price. I called last Friday to schedule an appointment to get my tire replaced. And scheduled an appointment to solve that exact issue on Monday morning. I arrived at the store Monday morning, only to find out that they apparently do not take reservations despite the fact that they took my reservation over the phone Friday morning . Have been going there for a few years and have always had a GREAT experience. Then recently I had my oil changed there and 2 days later my splash guard came undone in the front of my car.It was undriveable. The splash guard must be removed to change the oil. When I called I was told I had probably run over a parking stop. Which I had not done and my CRV is a bit high for that. After having my car towed there, they did fix it for free. Still, I resent being told that splash guards fall for many reasons, like driving through water, hitting a bump or general wear and tear. I would have accepted a "these things happen, we are sorry" response. But I cannot accept a "it must have been your fault BS response". If you stripped the screws or didn't replace the clamps, just take responsibility for your mistakes. Not sure if I will go back. Left a bad taste for me. read more

I brought my 2011 VW Jetta in this morning because I noticed it had a small oil leak. I was really concerned about it needing major and costly repair. The gentleman at the desk was so kind and responsive saying they would be sure to find the cause of the leak. When he learned I did not have someone to pick me up, he said they would do their best to get it done as soon as possible. I waited in their comfortable and spacious waiting area and in about an hour, another, equally kind gentleman reported it was a small problem, a pinched seal, which they replaced and I was all set! As a girl I am always intimidated by car shops, I always feel that I will be taken as a fool because I am clueless when it comes to cars. Well, the guys at EF are amazing! They did a great job on my car alignment and even with my ignorance they told me the extra stuff I did not need! A few months later I needed new tires, they quoted me a great price and they even dropped me off at house since my new tires were going to take a while, they called me and offered to pick me up once my car was done (it was just a few hours). 2 weeks later I got a nail in one of my tires and they fixed it in less than an hour with no charge since they remembered I had just been there! I am so impressed with this place that I suggested it to my sister today since she just got a nail in her tire, she took it in, $12 later and not too long of a wait, they even fixed some minor stuff on her car with out us asking them to! I've been coming here for so many years, I can't remember when I started. After my old car's warranty was up, I'd seen their ads for an oil change and starting coming. My current car never had a warranty per se so I came in after the first year and ever since. Right now they've gone up to the ridiculously low price of $14.95 plus tax for a midweek oil change. They also fill your tires with air and check all the other fluid levels. It really is a bargain. That being said, in season they get swamped. Unless you get there very early, they sometimes stop taking walk-ins for the day. Crazy me, I'd forgotten that but didn't mind hanging out in their waiting area for a couple hours. They have a tv, good magazines, and a clean bathroom should you need to wait. Otherwise, I'd suggest coming in early and having someone follow you so that you could leave with them and leave your car, and at least do some area shopping while waiting for the mechanics to finish working on your car. I think the only other things I've had done over the years was a changed air filter and one time some new windshield wipers installed. But they do lots of other services. And they aren't called EF Tire for naught. read more

First come first serve, I love that. Rolled in around 9:30am. Told them I had a slow leak in my right front tire. They told me they would call me as soon as they were finished, there was about five or six cars ahead of me. Which translated to about 45 minutes. I simply walked next-door to Michael's restaurant and had a fine breakfast while I waited. 45 minutes later I was driving my car away for $16 for a new plug. Seriously? How great is that? read more

went ahead and tried these guys out again and was left disappointed again. Store needs more improvement when it comes to communication. I came in today because my jeep oil was leaking and wanted to know the reason.I get a call from these guys saying it's there a few things wrong with the jeep but never dialed in on the oil problem. they told me it was the oil filter assembly like I had a clue what that was. get to the store and was questioned by an associate about a review I made on the about the store online. He mentioned more about the review than the oil leak problem I had. unprofessional. I asked at the end for the diagnostic sheet so I could know exactly what to get since it was mentioned over the phone I had a lot of problems with it and all I got was a sticky note that says "Oil filter assembly" and a price.... read more

I have had two tires replaced plus an alternator. I could have had that done for $100 less. Since they were closer, and everyone was so helpful, I had the repair done there. I recently bought a new tire there. Last time it was $89. Which was the average price among the 4 other places I called. They charged me $172 for a tire for a Miata!! I went in today thinking I needed a substantial amount of work based on what the dealership told me. The guys at the front desk were quick and responsive and got me in very quickly. They took a look at my car and let me know that all I needed were two new tires. They searched to find me a good deal and new tires and the work was completed very quickly. I was so impressed that they didn't want to do work on the car that was not necessary yet and were super honest and accommodating. As a female, there is always a fear that you will get taken advantage of when getting your car fixed, but not here. Went in to get a full synthetic oil change. Used coupon. $69.00 I was charged $84.00. Asked them to check my driver's side window switch. They told me they were going to replace it and that was the problem. During late afternoon they still hadn't got the window switch. I went to pick my car up and they had charged me for the window switch and labor $234. I said to them you haven't got my switch or performed the work so I will bring this back tomorrow when you say the window switch will be in. She then took off the 234 and I waited for the phone call to bring it in. Never heard from them again. They also told me a bunch of repairs were needed and the total would be $3,600. I checked with another mechanic on issues that they told me needed attention and this mechanic told me only one of the problems needed attention. I can't help but feel that I was going to be ripped off. Just the fact that they did not call me to let me know that that window switch had arrived the next day was enough to make sure I never go there again. read more

Bad choice, called ahead to make sure they were able to do an alignment on my truck, having an 8 foot bed and extra cab makes my truck just about the longest they can be. So they assured no problem bring it by first come first serve. So I dropped off 8:00 am the next day, I never heard anything from them and it was 5:30 pm know they closed at 6:00 I called them. They tell me that they tried calling me but there was no answer (lie # 1), I ask what number did you try and I see not missed call on my phone ? They say the paperwork was in mechanics bay (lie #2) next they say I need $1700.00 worth of front end parts, ball joints , wheel bearings, link. That they could not align the front end as these were so bad it would not take. (Lie #3). I said ok I will come pick it up. When I got there asked them again what phone number did you call guy said they threw the paper away and did not have it. Hello (Lie #4). I really was feeling they were full of sh?t at this point and came home checked out ball joints my self , no play at all ? So I called the local GMC dealership and asked them about doing an alignment on my big truck, made appointment and dropped off today at 7:30 am asked them to be sure to check all front end parts including wheel bearings especially. They called me at 10:30 am stating all done. Tech checked over everything and did a full alignment said it was tight and alignment was not too bad off. $220.00 is way different from $1700.00. When they start of telling you a lie about calling you is the first clue they are scammers. Sad thing is had they really called me and told me I needed all those parts I most likely would have trusted them and had them do all the work and got ripped off. So had to trust anyone anymore and shops like this remind me of why to stick to dealers only. read more

They are a waste of time! My old car was in need of a check out, oil and tire change. A friend recommended these mechanics because he claimed them to be honest and reliable. I called them and asked if they could get my tires and change the oil on my car and I gave them the size of the tires and the type of oil I wanted. I was told to go the next day, so I did but they could not take care of my car and asked me to return the next morning. Again, I showed up early the following morning to find out they didn't order my tires and they refused to change my oil until they got the tires so they could do it all at the same time. They said their supplier was a couple of miles away so it would take long, I waited for almost 3 hours, I saw the tire delivery truck coming and leaving but they told me they hadn't got my tires. When they saw my frustration then offered to change the oil to buy some time - another couple of hours more! I refused to be seated there and watch them taking care of everyone else who came after me, so I just left. Fortunately, I found another mechanic on Dixy hwy. just south of Sample rd who did all the work in less than an hour, cost me less money and even check my car and gave me recommendations of things I needed to take care of in the near future, at no extra cost, to make sure I didn't have any inconvenience in the future. - EF Tire wanted $50 just to look at my car. read more
