Without, hesitation he said he would do it if I had the time. Jay was Very professional and very knowledgeable about what I was looking to do with my vehicle and gave me some advice on what I should be asking. J&K was called to an accident to tow a vehicle outside my business. There was a disabled vehicle along with broken glass to get the driver out of the car. The area was left worse after the "clean up" occurred. The tow driver was ill equipped to do his job he was hired to do. He was tried to use a shovel to scrape the glass into a pile. When this method was not success, we proceeded to take scoops and swipes at a large amount of glass that was on the pavement and throw the shards into the grass next to parking lot. The tow driver left with scattered glass over the parking lot and made things worse by flinging scoops of shards of glass into the near by grass. The equivalent of sweeping dirt under a rug and calling it clean. I called the owner to tell him the situation. He at first denied this would ever happen. I told him I had the whole incident on my security camera. He then proceeded to tell me they video taped as well but would not meet to show him my footage. He then proceeded to make excuses saying the glass pieces get embedded in the asphalt and cannot be cleaned up perfectly. Due to me needing to have a parking lot without glass all over it I used a broom and it brushed up perfectly. Now I am left with multiple shovel full shards of glass thrown and scattered in grass that will be very time consuming and difficult to clean up. The owner was rude, dishonest, unapologetic, and tried make excuses for his lack of effort. I could not imagine ever using his services for anything with how he runs his business. Even with confronted with the shortfall of the driver with video proof he was still defiant. I couldn't imagine getting my car worked on by this business. If he is dishonest with video proof imagine what he is charging and doing behind closed doors of his shop. read more

This body shop is just fantastic! I scratched my car so I took it to several body shops on town for quotes. They gave me from 1100 to 1600. Then I call Jon, the owner of J&K. The shop is not on campus town so he drove to my door to check. Guess what, he gave me 650 for everything! I got my car back in 3 days and it looks brand new! Cant see the big scratch at all and he buffed the whole car for me. Plus, he delivered my car to door without any charge! U of I kids, if you want a body work, just leave the town and drive 20 more mins to find J & K! read more

Very nice work. I had a huge dent on my trunk lid and a scratch on the rear bumper. I went to other places with quote over 1000. He fixed it with only 400. When I got my car, it just looked exactly the same as before. He picked the car and delivered it back when he finished. All I need to do is pay the money. Simple and fluent. Jon, the owner of the business is an experienced mechanic that gives the best price around Chambana area. I had a scratch in the bumper last week. I thought it might cost me another 500-600 bucks or more to paint it. Similar issue happened to my previous car, and the price I got from other body shop was just some 550. But I paid Jon a visit anyway, and I was really glad he gave me an offer of only 250. I left the car at his place and asked him to take me a ride back to town, and he did without further charge. He also picked me up when the car is ready to go. The work was perfect. The scratch and dent was gone forever. Moreover, Jon was also really responsible for his work. He told me to go back to his place if any problem occurred in one week. But I think everything is just perfect. read more

Jon did a fantastic job to my unfortunate 2014 Passat. I had a fender bender, and got some estimate from shops in Chambana at over $4000. Jon was able to work with me to get everything done for $3200, including a frame straightening which was not included in my initial estimate. And the car looks like new again! This place has been open since last year from what I hear from the owner of the business, Jon. That is not to say he is an inexperienced mechanic. He has been doing this line of work in Champaign for more than 20 years before he moved to Homer for personal reasons. But get this. If you live in Champaign, he actually picks up your car and drops it off at your place after repairs at no extra charge. I recently did a repair on a dented bumper and some repainting and the work was almost immaculate. And at a very reasonable price too (I got some quotes from shops in Champaign). He was able to get the car back in two days. And did I mention that Jon is a very nice personable guy? He is already building a reputation from word-of-mouth, just not here in Yelp, which is why I'm glad to be the first one to upload his business. :) read more

Jon at J&K is absolutely wonderful. I had a large dent on the bottom of one of my doors. Initially, he gave me a very reasonable quote to have the dent repaired without replacing the door based on some pictures of the damage I sent him. However, when he actually took a look at the full damage (my pictures were of the actual dent and didn't capture the fact that the door frame itself was damaged), he determined that a new door would be necessary. However, he only increased the cost of the repair by the cost of the additional parts, which I thought was incredibly kind of him. He was also wonderfully flexible about when I could drop off and pick up my car (which I did a couple of times due to some trouble getting the correct door model; not Jon's fault at all, and he handled the issue in a perfectly professional way). The repair itself was perfect, like the damage never even happened. And in the end, the repairs were a full thousand dollars less than other quotes I received. I will never go to anyone else for auto body repairs and have been recommending him to everyone I know. I don't think needing to have your car repaired is fun for anyone, but Jon made it as painless as possible. He has a truly wonderful business and I could not recommend it more. read more
