I told them what was happening, and they immediately had some ideas of what could be wrong. They gave me an estimated time they would be able to look at it since they had an existing appointment. I waited in my car, and they got me in before the estimated time. They diagnosed the check engine light and gave me an estimate of cost and time to repair. It was very reasonable for both time and price. The mechanics were able to get me back on the road, heading home faster than I expected.

Purchasing an Evolution EV Forester 4 Plus from Central Illinois Cars & Carts has been the worst…read moreproduct buying and service experience I've ever had (and I've owned multiple boats so that says a lot). After buying the brand new 2024 cart in September 2023 it had 3 simultaneous malfunctions that were extremely dangerous and rendered the cart inoperable on the first day we drove it before even getting to mile 8. Thankfully, at least no one was injured. Cody picked it up on October 3rd and has said he's been going back and forth with the manufacturer ever since, but rarely even calls me back or responds to texts. We're now into the 4th month of not having a replacement cart, repaired cart, or refund with no end in sight and they haven't even responded to multiple texts and calls since December 13th, almost a month. If you're in the market for a cart I highly recommend going with another brand that will undoubtedly be a better quality machine and the manufacturer will back up their warranty and "customer care" promises. Evolution EV provided a lemon and hasn't done the first thing to rectify it. They clearly don't believe in their own products or care about their product owners. I also would strongly recommend buying from a different dealer that will support and service their line of products properly and quickly, including communicating with you and responding to you. Central Illinois Cars and Carts is not that dealer and has a major lack of accountability for taking care of their customers and the products that they deal. Hopefully some day soon they'll work this out and I'll get a refund or at least have a new cart that's operational, safe, and malfunction free. As of now though I still have nothing to show except frustration from my purchase and the dealer doesn't even return calls or texts or update me on the brand new cart I purchased in September and only used once for 7 miles. Definitely not the cart buying experience I was expecting and I share in hopes that no one else has to endure an experience like this from Evolution EV or Central Illinois Cars & Carts.

Rob agreed to look at the car. He worked on it in his spare time. He called and talked to the owner of the company who built the custom chassis. Rob found out who made the new wiring harness. He called them. There were parts missing in the steering column and something was miswired. Rob got everything fixed. Also calibrated digital dash instruments, checked and lubricated frame, and identified brake line problem. He fixed everything in 2 weeks of spare time. Completely regret coming to Keller Automotive. I had a few leaks in my engine's cooling system, so I took it to Keller. He listened to what I had to say, the history of the problem, and said this would be pretty cheap/easy fix, no more than $400. That $400 turned into $700, as he had to replace the thermostat in the engine, as well as the coolant level sensor. Fine. Unseen repairs happen. However, THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I drove it the same day and there were more drips than before! I found a leak on the topmost, completely exposed bypass hose, which he had missed the first time. I even showed him a picture of the leak in action. I returned to get my car back a few days later. Charged me $280 dollars for changing a few tubes and my engine belt. Mind you, I replaced my belt 18 months ago, and it was just fine. I had no problems with it, I didn't ask him to replace it and he did it anyway. I was about to drive my car home after paying him, and it wouldn't start. He had left the car unlocked, with the keys in the ignition HALFWAY TURNED. He drained my battery out of sheer negligence. I had to get a jump from someone else. I am never coming back here. At the prices he charges and the work he does this guy is a SCAM.
