They installed our fence to ensure the highest and look was sharp and quality based. We were provided several different quotes and Kustom Fencing was on average the same cost of everyone else. If I need to get another fence done I will be giving them a call, thank you Craig and guys on getting this job completed. They came out the next day to check and see what they were up against. He called to tell me that my mother board on the existing unit was out. He proceeded to give me options and what I like is that they didn't try to preasure me into a new unit. He simply gave me the prices for options and let me decide. My wife and I decided the best option was to replace the unit. I got several bids and did my best to compare apples to apples. While Kustom Fence was not the cheapest, I felt they really knew their stuff and would not only do a good job but still be around if anything came up. I'm happy to say I was right. (and who doesn't like being right!) we scheduled the install for Wednesday. The night before Corey called to let me know Derrick would be our tech and he would be out first thing. Just as he promised Derrick arrived early and immediately got to work. Once he was done he called me outside and reviewed what he had done and provided thorough directions on our new Liftmaster unit. He cleaned up the work area and was nice enough to haul away the old unit. A half hour after Derrick left Corey called to follow up and ensure I was satisfied with the install. He even called the following day to confirm everything was working as intended. Honestly I thought this type of service no longer existed. Happy to say it does with Kustom Fence. She explained that we were looking at oversized slabs (engineered quartz which we requested) to minimize seams. We also looked in their own yard for smaller pieces for other rooms. Initially, we were going to do only the kitchen. Their prices were better than expected so we expanded to include the butler's pantry and the master bathroom. Joe came out and measured. He answered all our questions (I was concerned about damage to the backsplash in the kitchen). While there was some damage to the drywall in the bathroom, that was easily remedied after the installation. He and his team worked quickly and did a beautiful job. Grouted very nicely between the countertop and backsplash. No broken tiles in backsplash. Joe is a perfectionist and measured the kitchen more than once to ensure a perfect fit. He had gone a few times to get some feedback on a project he'd been planning and the female employee at the front desk was very helpful with giving suggestions and tips. When I went up a couple of weeks ago I was able to see the selection and we were able to speak to Jerry who showed us specific stones, their names, sizing and an estimate in pricing on the spot. There was another younger gentleman who saw us walking around and asked if we needed assistance later on. My husband had engaged with him in a convo before and joked around with him. We walked around and saw different sizes and colors and we ended up talking to a gentleman who was shoveling some finer rocks into some buckets that he had in his SUV. He was telling us about his project at his new home and showed the ideas from his query on ChatGPT!! Wow! That gave us an idea to try and upload ideas for our space using ChatGPT when I got home. It looked fabulous, gave some design suggestions and tidied up the space even though we didn't use the exact stone nor landscaping. We ended up buying some stones from here and some other plastic landscaping materials with stakes. There are tractors that will also load the rocks/mulch into your truck bed. Back in September I called them up spoke to Chris(the owner) and had him come out for a quote. All went well, he seemed nice and accepted his price he quoted my wife and I and payed him what he requested in order to buy the 2 Granite slabs that day. We agreed he would have it done 3 weeks later, and signed the quote and he left. This is where "red flags" started shooting out at me. He was all tattooed up, meaning his face, above eyes, neck, all over arms but decide to look past that. Over the next 2 weeks there was times he ghosted me, didn't respond to texts, or calls, or return my calls, again I looked past it as he is maybe a startup company or he was busy. Coming up on the deadline he kept saying he's still doing fabrication to my slabs, I thought 2.5 weeks later really, and again looked past it, even after he would ghost me for hours on a given day, or for 2-3 days at a time. Then Chris randomly hits me up and says we can install tomorrow and it will now cost more for the Iron braces for my kitchen island, even after I was quoted for that, again I assume he's going to take care of me and my granite install. He shows up with his crew the day prior to the deadline which was a house party, and starts to install 3.5 hrs late and kept texting me all morning he was coming soon. That was a week into October. So my wife and I were stuck cleaning till 1am for the house party cause they had finished really late. And that's when I started to noticed issues... -granite wasn't attached to the cabinets I could pull up small areas without resistance, again he said he had sealed them on. - kitchen island had a 3/8" gap between the iron braces and the granite(they are meant to support the granite) they just stuck a wood shim on top of every bracket. -the sinks I had purchased through Chris were mounted sloppy as told to me by multiple plumbers from a solid plumbing company. -their plumber Chris had me go through to have my brand new faucets installed also didn't install 3 of them correctly(1 didn't work, 1 was mounted Crooked, and one had the wrong pipe used under the sink. He quoted me a great price. But Cost me almost 400$ more after I paid their plumber to have A&A plumbing come in and fix it. As he already took the payment after saying it was completed. - the Granite company didn't pick up our old counters and vanities which I had already paid for. -Chris and his crew joked way to much with me while they were installing. A little is fine and cool man but after the 11th time saying one of your guys have to poo poo and granite can be stretched literally made me think I can't take you serious anymore. -etc Fast forward just over a month, a week into November Chris the owner randomly texts me after days of trying to get him to fix the center kitchen island saying he is in route now. Luckily I am retired and was at home to let his crew in. But he said he need another 400$ for 5 more longer iron brackets for the island. And only installed 4 of them and didn't refund me for the 5th or the 4 previous paid for iron brackets now sitting in my garage. The island got remount great the second time. But still left without taking the old counters and vanities on the side of my back yard. Finally a month and a half after the original install date of October, he still ghosts my messages and no answers my calls to pick up the trash he left in my yard and refund me the extra charges. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE, BAD COMMUNICATION, LIES, NOT ONTIME TO ANYTHING ACCEPT TO GET PAYMENT, CHARGED ME 400$ EXTRA FOR WHAT I ALREADY PAID FOR, SLOPPY INSTALL OF NEW SINKS, LEFT LOTS OF TRASH IN MY YARD. I got 9 buckets of dirt today from Brooks Stone Ranch, and it took me three trips because I got distracted at Home Depot beforehand and forgot to grab a couple more buckets to add to my 3. I felt real silly pulling up the third time but the guy at the counter didn't treat me like it. I feel even sillier because it really didn't save me that much money vs just getting bags of the TX potting soil from HEB - however! The quality might be much better, to be determined. I will say I've bought buckets of stone here once before as well, and that is a MILLION times cheaper than buying little bags at Home Depot or anywhere else. I got 15 gallons of crushed limestone for a small project for $5. Definitely worth it! Everyone I've spoken to there is super friendly and helpful, nobody is going to tell you to your face that you're dumb for taking three trips for 6 cubic feet of soil, and the prices are outstanding. So if you're a humble little DIY-er and you don't mind a little extra dirt in your shoes to save a few dollars, don't be afraid to check them out!
