It had an ugly view of a retaining wall, drainage gutter, and parking lot. It also had a beautiful tree that was leaning and had a fence awkwardly placed around its trunk. When heavy rains, felled this tree and ripped out the fence, it was time to finally address this disastrous area. I met with owner Jeremy and landscape designer Jason to help reimagine my patio. They addressed my concerns and wishlist and came up with a great design. The work crew, led by Ray, was outstanding. Every one of the guys on the crew, Javier,Chris, Dewey, Juan, Andy, Frank and Rolando were professional, courteous and respectful to us, my neighbors, and mindful of the HOA rules. Their work ethic and work product were outstanding. The old cracked concrete was replaced with beautiful pavers and upgraded drainage. A Hoff Solitions privacy screen with class a fire rated Timber-Tech planks was placed in front of the concrete block retaining wall and is fully removable if needed. I have more functional seating with a garden wall that allows for some plantings and doubles as extra seating. My Zen boulder fountain was set in ground with accent lighting. A covered pergola was added to define a nice outdoor seating area. A beautiful and functional barbecue surround was built to create a built-in look for my barbecue cart and the surround also provides privacy from the parking area.Landscaping and irrigation were also added along my fence. Because of the increased functionality of the space, it feels larger. My back patio is so much more enjoyable and charming now and I couldn't be any happier with the final outcome. These pictures really do not do justice to this beautiful space. Scarlett's Landscaping may not be the least expensive, but they provided great communication, work ethic, workmanship, management of details such as all permits and inspections, follow-up post completion, and most of all, peace of mind that my project was in the right hands. This company perfectly matched the pavers already in our backyard to create a basketball court and quickly (within a couple days) completely transformed our front yard. Throughout the entire process, Joseph was available to us via text, call, and in person to address concerns, and the construction team was beyond wonderful. I have never worked with such a CLEAN crew (special shoutout to Arturo). They literally swept and cleaned the sidewalk/street after every workday to minimize debris. Everyone in this company did more than what was agreed upon to ensure an amazing result.

After discussion and the fact that one of the large trees was cracking the cmu wall I got a quote to remove all of the trees and plants (except the roses). After accomplishing that I got more ideas with the clean slate and decided to paint the wall and add a vinyl fence topper for privacy. I am very pleased with the end result. After this project I hired Jose and his crew to do more work at another property. I would highly recommend him.

When I met José, I could tell right away how dedicated and thorough he would be. He asked great…read morequestions and I was especially impressed when he suggested installing a thick weed barrier under our existing gravel to keep weeds down. Everyone else we had spoken with had tried to talk us out of weed barrier because it's a hassle to install. He also was able to understand my vision very well and is knowledgeable about all of the drought tolerant plants we wanted, including asking about different colors and varieties rather than making assumptions and getting the wrong thing for us. José even suggested that they mix a small amount of concrete with our decomposed granite around our raised beds so that we wouldn't have weeds coming up around the beds. It looks great and will save us so much time and work! José was extremely responsive and his estimate was comprehensive and well thought-out. He showed up when he said he would and did great work. I was so impressed with the attention to detail of José and his crew. When they were done, they cleaned up to the point that it was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. One example of how thorough José and his crew were is that they installed some artificial turf, and after installing it, they brought a special brush/roller tool to make the turf stand up properly. José's prices were not low, but they were fair, especially for the immaculate job he did! I will post pictures once the plants grow in a little bit more!

He was responsive early on but as of late, he leaves messages read and I am 3 weeks past "Hi I'll get back at you latest monday". However when he did do one lawn maintenance session it was done well, the price was higher than what I would've normally paid for regular maintenance, but for a one off job it was adequate.

We had a smaller job to do at our home. Jose and his team showed up and fit it in between other…read morejobs and got it done quickly and did a great job. We had gotten 3 other contractors to come out to bid on it. One never called back, the other one took 10 days to send an estimate and the other showed up but was very rude. Jose sent a quote the morning after they took a look and the quote was right in line with the other contractors. Most important is the quality of the work. They took a rough drawing I had turned it into a small work of art. A nice short planter with a rock riverbed and some beautiful succulents. Could not be happier and the neighbors all love it. Would recommend Performance and would hire them again.

This was a large job as he had to be sure the soil was level, install sprinkler system and create the design. The yards turned out be be perfect. I let him know that I am willing to pay above market for the right service and he indicated that customers like me are hard to come by. Isai went throught the trouble of meeting me at my home and he indicated he would follow up and look at the 2 other homes that need service. I also have a very large Class A shopping center in Simi Valley that I indicated might be a candidate for changing landscape service. Despite this communication, Isai allows his voicemail to get full and the only option for communication is by text. My first communication was Dec 7th, and thus far, no proposal, and no return text. We have not even started service or agreed on price and I'm already chasing Glady's. Imagine what it is like if they started service with you and you have a problem or concern, good luck chasing Isai and Glady's Landscaping Service or getting a return phone call or text.
