Stay away from this shop if you value your time and money…read more I dropped off my 2017 Audi Q7 after hours and left a written note clearly stating that the steering rack had failed after a storm. I wasn't asking them to diagnose an unknown issue--I already knew the problem. I simply needed to know if they were able to repair it. Instead, they kept my vehicle for four days, then called me only to tell me exactly what I had already written in my note. After that, they admitted they couldn't perform the repair because they don't have anyone who can program the steering system. If they knew they weren't equipped to do this type of repair, they should have told me immediately instead of wasting four days of my time. They then charged me $170 for a diagnosis I never requested and even listed inspections that I never authorized. The worst part was their attitude. When I questioned why I was being charged for something I had already identified myself, instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, they threatened to call the police. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I felt that my time and money were not respected, and I will never return. I strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for honest and professional service.

I have a red 1954 MGTF named "Winston" who I drive up and down Ocean Avenue morning, noon and night. We bought "Winston" in 1971 and we are the second owners. I spent many an enjoyable hour with my dad, a Scottish WWII Royal Naval engineer, fixing and restoring the car. When dad died in 2003 I lost my best friend. Every time I drive in the car I think of him sitting next to me with his Scottish Tam-O-Shanter on enjoying the ocean breeze in our faces. I found out by word of mouth and from antique car club members such as The Positive Earth Drivers Club that if you have an old car, this is the man to see to keep it running in top shape. You can tell he has a special love for old cars and he keeps the running for us. I am sooooo lucky. He is only a mile from my house. My son Danny owns "Evelyn" a green 1966 MGB and he drives it all the way from Hopewell and Philadelphia to have Merrill fix his car. Merrill, you are the best! Warm regards, Dr. Jim Brown

The other shops either had no idea what I was talking about or had some outrageous offers like doing a transmission maintenance without changing the filter. Additional work done included spark plug change and oil change. JA Autowerks is about 100 miles from me. But after speaking with the crew there I knew it was the right place for my 2016 Audi RS7. From the moment I called them for a quote until I picked up the car, communication was spot on. Even with a bunch of people out sick, John the owner called me and met me when I dropped the car off. A few days later I was promptly contacted about the price of some additional items and gave the okay for the work. I didn't get to meet Jason, the tech who worked on my car, but I can tell from the craftsmanship he knew what he was doing. I'm meticulous when it comes how I work on my car, and it looks like Jason is also. Since I was so far, Nick took time out of his DAY OFF to meet me to pick up the car. Will I drive 200 miles round trip again for work on my Audi RS7? You're damn right.
