This is a drive thru only Bbq restaurant. I called their phone and no one answered and message said they don't take orders over the phone but stated they do have an App in which you can order. Of course, I went to their drive thru and placed an order for a bbq sandwich, potato salad and a sprite. Anyway, their bbq sandwich was delicious and I was really surprised at how good it was . Yes, I will definitely be back to visit their restaurant. Most of all, they are fairly reasonable in prices. My lunch was less than $14. read more

Have been working in the area for over a month. Drove past here many times. Just decided to stop two nights ago. OMG!! I'm kicking myself in the butt that I didn't stop sooner! Had the rib tip platter. Comes with two sides and I chose backed beans and Cole slaw. Cole slaw was very fresh, crunchy, and not too sweet. The beans had some pork in them and a very good flavor! The rib tips were really meaty and a bunch came with the order. They have three levels of sauce and I chose the spicy and I'm glad I did. Just the right amount of heat! Meat on Fries This may be my new restaurant spirit animal. Smoked meat on top of high quality French fries. What's not to love? The family and I shared things, so here's everything I tried. Pulled Pork on Fries: a little bit sweet, a little bit crunchy Memphis style pulled pork on medium sized fries. Every bit as good as it sounds. Rib tips: like burnt ends, except rib meat. Yum! Chicken Wings: slow smoked, then finished in the deep fryer. Tasty, but a strong smoke flavor. Pork and Beef Sausage: the pork is good. The beef is fantastic. Spicy BBQ sauce: I'm usually not a sauce guy, but this was good. A sweet base, with black pepper and a spicy kick. Macaroni and Cheese: Good, but probably my least favorite thing. There's a definite sweetness in the cheese sauce. Not bad, but not really what I'm looking for. Cole Slaw: Straight forward, but with a strong vinegar flavor. The acidity was nice against the sweetness in many of the other items. Ok, People of Cleveland, you need to take care of this place. One or two visits a week by everyone in town should do the job. read more

Ate at J&W's last night. I had the ribs and husband had the smoked chicken. The ribs are FABULOUS. They tasted like they had been smoked then put over charcoals like a burger. I didn't taste much of a rub, which brings out the real yummy flavor of the smoke. Husband said the chicken was a little dry. We stopped in again today to get the PORK TAMALES They are a little slice of HEAVEN in a husk!. I'm not an expert on tamales, by any means, but these little treasures are the best I have ever had. One of the things I love about working for my company is that my assigned territory is the Mississippi Delta region. I spend a lot of time driving through cotton fields, Delta Blues, and BBQ heaven. Today I had the good fortune of having an appointment at J & W Smokehouse BBQ and getting to meet Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. A lovely and warm couple who have been serving this area delicious BBQ for years in Cleveland, MS. This restaurant is filled with the smoke of their craft and smells absolutely beyond description. Fortunately it was lunch time. Got the half slab ribs---outstanding. Mild sauce on the side along with spicy. Both are terrific! Cole slaw was creamy and just the right amount of sweet.
